Which THREE STAR Teams do you use for the Big Enchilada?

The question, which 2*s can beat the enchilada is often discussed and easy to find on this forum.
I am still mostly using my reliable combination from my 2* days consisting of Thor, OBW and CStorm to beat that node (now even better with Champion levels! icon_cool.gif ) - The only change I made was to replace 2* Thor with his beefier 3* variant when I had to prune the former for roster slot reasons.

However, I though some variation would be nice from time to time. So I am wondering which 3* teams people like to use for the BE (and what strategy goes with them)? I was quite surprised that I have been unable to find a thread discussing 3*s for BE - or did I just spectacularly fail with my Search-Fu?

Cheers,

  • Cyclops combined with OBW and Thor 2*. That's pretty effective. (Stormysusie)

Another option is OBW, IM40 (5/4 /4) and Thor 3*. (Marvelfamily)

Iron Man produces (wave 1 and wave 3) with his yellow enough purple and blue for OBW, and Thor makes a quick red for enough yellow. Works good.

IM40 also generates everything except black. Try it, it's fun! icon_e_biggrin.gif

    Mags/Thor/Panther

Mags eliminates the goons with red/blue and Thor with yellow, collect in round 1 and 3 enough green and balck for AoE attacks, unleash them in round 2 and 4 and done it is.

    I use Deadpool/Khamala/Scarlet Which.

Generate enough green and purple in 1 and 3 (make sure to finish with AOE move) and use AOE (sometimes with DP red to soften them) on 2 and 4. Easy peasy japaneese.

Bonus on top - I get the deadpool coins every day (if I ever need to use boosted whales).

Khamala/Patch/Panther is the team I use every day. I let Patch soak up the damage in the two goon waves while building up the AP to AOE the character waves.

    I've gone back to using 2*s but when I used 3*s I used cap/blade/falcon

KK, Psylocke, DD, Psylocke gets out strikes and attacks, DD gets multiple stuns rolling about, KK for the Aoe's on rounds 2 and 4.. easy easy easy, and cheap skills keep the heals coming if ever needed, although rarely... DD purple handles ninja attack tiles easy enough (5/5/3 build for TBE, champed so move it back if used elsewhere)

I always use GSBW/ Deadpool/ SWitch in this order

Wave 1: Collect purple and red (up to 18 for next wave). Use GSBW purple to make/collect green and don't use any skill yet unless you absolutely have to. Kill last enemy of wave one with a match 5 or a skill (GSBW purple to make cascade or nuke them all with her green once you have a lot of green/purple)

Wave 2: With 18 red AP collected, slice each one of them down with DP then nuke them with GSBW purple. That should be enough to wipe them. Now rinse and repeat for next two waves.

I use DP/SWitch for the first featured node to make sure I get my deadpool points every day.

For TBE I have had success with Daken/Blade/Falcon, and Patch/LCap/(OBW, Daredevil, or Loki)

My first 3* team that I consistently beat TBE with was Storm, Loki and CMags -- I had quite a few covers for each early on, and even at low levels they can all shake up the board (destroying countdowns) and generate AP (and cover all the colors) so that I could always get through. They're a slow team, though, with not a lot of power (CMags is the "powerhouse" in that trio). I switched for a while to IF/LC/CMags. Very fun, and you almost always end up with lots of extra powers to fire in Round 4.

Time is important to me, though, so for purely speed reasons lately I've been using LDaken, Patch and Loki. Build up your AP until you have enough black for Loki and green for Patch (red's a nice bonus too) and then fire everything off, firing black last so you convert all those enemy strike tiles. The numerous strike tiles make every match devastating to the enemy. Just use LDaken's blue at the end of a goon round and you're all set.

For long, loooong time I used OBW, Patch and 2* Marvel. The usual bank of AP in wave 1 to set up berserker rage followed by AOE to wipe out the 2nd wave. Photonic Blast is a cheap way to down single targets to finish waves. If you beat wave 3 quickly enough you can use the 2nd part of Sonic Boom on wave 4.

At some point I switched in Punisher for Marvel because Molotov is cheaper than Sonic Boom and the attack tiles let you double dip on Patch's strikes. Lost the yellow active ability, but I hardly used Strategic Command anyway.

Lately I've mixed it up some, using Bullseye for crazy strike tile boards, cascade machines with MoStorm and cMags, Thor/BP/SW for triple AOE action, or Winfinite if I'm in a hurry.

Maxed out 3*s are strong enough that it's hard to lose.

    Cage/IF/Falcon

Match 2 blue early and falcon takes care of CDs and special tiles. Prioritize yellow, black, purple, green in that order in goon waves. Then you can plow through the enemies in non-goon nodes.

    I use LCap/LThor/Blade.

I use Blade black to finish off the last goon in wave 1/3, then use Thor Yellow/Green to blast the enemies in wave 2/4. I use LCap Blue to offset attack tiles and his Red to finish off threats before they can cause me problems. I hold back Blade Pink just in case I run into any problems. Blade's strike tiles are the real hero though - these just accelerate things so much cause I can build them at will during wave 1/3 and basically rarely let the enemy move the board in wave 2/4.

    Cmags/KK/BP
It's perfect: redflag.pngblueflag.png with cmags for the goons on rounds 1 and 3; purpleflag.pnggreenflag.png for KK; and yellowflag.pngblackflag.png with BP. Strike tiles speed up the goon rounds once you have enough ap for the AoEs for rounds 2 and 4.

    Yup, this.

I used to do 3daken, 3falcon & 3thor, it works well, but not as fast or reliable as the one above.

When any of the waves have characters I need to stun:
    LCap / IM40 (5/5/2) / Hood

    Most other times:
    Falcon / Daken / Blade

    When I'm bored/in a hurry:
    Loki / Patch / Daken

    Grocket/LThor/GSBW
I can often get out of the first wave with Grocket blue strike tiles out amd enough AP for Call the Storm and Deceptive Tactics which takes out wave 2 immediately, build up some more and unleash two x Call the Storm on the 4th wave. All good fun.
With I've Go a Plan out, Thunderstrike followed by Deceptive Tactics is the time you'll try to maximise the match 3s you make over trying to get bigger lines... 6x match 3 at 1000+/match is gonna hurt icon_e_smile.gif
  • Blade/Spider-man classic/Falcon

No one on the team uses red, which gives a ton of strike tiles. During the NPC stages build up some blue to fire Falcons removal, at stage 2/4 use them to stun with Spider.
By second round, matches are usually hitting for 1K+, then another 2k from Blades power. With protect tiles, stun, & heal, usually finish with next to no damage taken.

Really my only reason to have Spider rostered.

    Lcap/Falcon/IF

IF provides his attack tile that speeds up rounds 1 and 3. Collect Purple, Red, Blue, Black, Green. Otherwise match yellow to improve the attack tile and any strikes/shields you have. Aim for 12 black by round two, then unload IF green (if you have it), followed by IF purple and Lcap red. Use Lcap blue to stun anyone remaining while IF's attack tile eats away and you get more purple and wait for Lcap's red and blue countdowns to finish.

Can take a bit of damage in the first round as you collect AP but Falcon helps with enemy countdowns. Eventually Lcap lays down shields via blue and yellow, and goodbye damage. Once IF has 12 black, his purple is cheap damage and Lcap's red and blue keep paying dividends.

    3* bulleye, KK and cage

collect purple first round, use BE purple to attack special tile (cage always produces protect tile)
calculate carefully to let BE kill enemy
It will create a board with lots of strike tile in the following wave
    It very funny game.

I wish I could remember who suggested this team here (ages ago), but I use Kamala/Cyclops/Juggernaut. Even when I first put it together (Juggs was 1/5@25, Kamala and Cyke were... undercovered, at 120), I could beat it, doing almost all the damage with Juggernaut's headbutt. Painful, at that stage, but I could beat the ninjas who were the bane of my 2* attempts.

Lots of board shake, even at that low of a level. Now that they're all maxed and championed, it's really easy. Match away as much as possible in the first wave, using Juggernaut's green when necessary. Or use a red power to eliminate someone with an attack about to go off. Fire a red power to end the wave. Use Kamala's green twice to take care of the even-numbered waves.

Only wiped once or twice with this team (I think once, early on, and definitely once, a month or so ago when nothing went right) in several months of use.

The only other teams I've used (once each) are 4Cyke/Witch/Jean (response to that wipe) and IM40 (5-5-2)/Cap/Hood (trying something different). The former was very fast, the latter very slow, but both worked well.
