New things that you've learned from the Simulator

some maps are broken in such a fun way (Desert, Jungle)
I haven't touched the cStorm + oBW + Wolverine missions (one or two failed tries), they are scarier to me than lvl 230 Dooms, Hoods, Spideys, Dinos, Hulks, Areses, Punishers, GSBWs and Thors. Wouldn't be as bad if I could run my own oBW/Storm, dang it
and yes IW WILL match her Invisibility tile herself if you don't do it for her
Moonstone needs to have non-random tile placement and then she's actually gold
all of us want a personal Maggia mook to generate tons of AP
hard mode levels are lower than normal mode right now because that's how system is supposed to be, right? you still get more points for hard mode!0 -
How to win against a Spy with buffed, maxed cStorm
Step 1) Eat a silent strike (triple Raging Tempest weak mode for 3x500 AoE)
Step 2) Eat another silent strike (triple Raging Tempest strong mode for 3x2000+ AoE)0 -
I learned that Daken + Storm(either, good arguments for each) is super fun in the Desert. Kinda wanted to bring Thor along for more green tile creation, but he's not buffed...
And I learned that Moonstone is just as boring as she looks, but her purple skill is pretty okay.0 -

In all seriousness, this is why they need to fix city, lab, latveria environments0 -
I learned that moonstone needs an overall buff. and her purple is great for damage but actually gets worse, utility wise, the higher you rank it. too many random tile swap options.
Oh and once IW gets rolling she is the sickness.0 -

Doom + IM40 + OBW is pretty versatile.
IM40 powers blue for both Doom and OBW with yellow. Usually has a red available to unload after stun wears off.
OBW steals ap, heals and does countdown tile management
Doom does massive cascades if blue/black tiles match up and his demons wreck the opposing team, especially buffed.
I usually save blue for OBW unless the board is favorable for at least 2 black matches from Doom. Always save blue for OBW if countdown characters are involved unless I have 18 blue.0 -
I learned that Daken loves cascades (well who doesn't, but you know what I mean), that spamming green (C.Storm, Thor, GSBW) is the only way (at least for my roster) to beat ~200 lvl Devil Dino fight, that a high level Hood is really nasty, that fights against IW and ****Wolverine were easier than I thought (with buffed Daken of course), that free buffed IM40 can nicely protect MBW, that you can still get burned against mooks if no hero/villain has any board control ability...
So the first round was really fun (learning new things) and I managed to win Hero Points in both levels (and 10K ISO! never had so much at once), but round two started feeling too tiring. Maybe they shouldn't last that long? How many playthroughs are needed in 60 hours to stay competitive ranking wise?
Oh and it sure seems that Dr. Doom or C.Magneto are really going to be fun when they get better (more covers/levels).0 -
-The Hood is a good (not great) alternative to (Spidey's) stunlock.
-IM40's yellow at 4 would be much better for me.0 -
Moonstone stealing a maggia thug 230 Threaten tile is great way to dispatch those goons..
Buffed Doom, Spidey and IM40 is fun team to stun lock and slow burn them to death.
Classic Storm passive tempest is dangerous at hammer goons who use AOE effects, like Flamethrower. She can counter back up to 3 times, depending on your team. Reminds me of the good ol' classic storm days when she was too OP and damn awesome.0 -
I learned that Venom's Devour paired with Spidey's stun and 2*Magneto's blue generation may be the most efficient way of killing guys with 14k hp. And really wished he still had his Team Devour ability.
I learned that 2* Magneto is really fun with 5 purple covers, at least when paired with someone with a blue ability worth using. Heck, when paired with anyone who will benefit from the super cascades he can cause.
I learned that level 230s aren't always THAT hard, unless they make a harmless 3 match on turn 1 that drops in a cascade from nowhere generating over 50 coloured AP for the enemies in one turn. Then they're hard.0 -
I've just learned that MPQ wants to kick me in the balls w/Simulation 10. Punisher, spidey patch....my only three characters above lvl 65. Time to diversify!0

I learned that DareDevil can break out of stunlock if you activate one of his traps .0

Please explain what you mean by the Hood is a good alternative...0 -

Here are some of the things that I've played around with and enjoyed:
M Storm OWNS mobs (I think a lot of people already knew this)
Yelena actually kinda almost doesn't quite entirely suck against mobs either.
Moonstone's Gravity Warp does some pretty useful things here and there for a decent cost.
Bullseye is fun as hell on the Desert stage.
Loki's Illusions is cheesy.
Daken is badass. Could be a side-effect of him being buffed.
Maggia Thugs and Spies always need to die first.
Don't mess with buffed molotovs.
Anyone other thoughts?
Why is bullseye so great on desert stages?0 -

Why is bullseye so great on desert stages?
Maybe 6 critical tiles?0 -

I've learned there is nothing funnier than a level 20 Venom Devouring a level 230 Hulk before he's even had a chance to move0
