    All of you people who think the devs are going to pissed at anything Malcrof has said in this thread, are completely missing the big picture. Pending further word, the competitive integrity of this game as been completely compromised, potentially irreparably. And yet half the posts are about whether or not Malcrof is a good mod.

    He's the ultimate company man, taking one for the team. This has been a master class in misdirection and distraction.

    This feels a little bit like conspiracy theory to me, although it is entirely possible it's true. Either way, you're right. This is a huge sidetrack from the more important problem. I also think there's been some anti-mod sentiment building up for weeks, so that is also informing this discussion.

    Split from Important Announcement: Legendary Tokens Exploit.

    First and foremost, if you feel your post does not belong here, please PM me or another mod and we will move it back to the original thread. Some of the posts were addressing both the exploit issue and Malcrof's post at the same time, so I had to rely on my own judgement to determine which was the more appropriate thread but I have no qualms about moving posts back. I split the thread because the reaction to Malcrof's comments, while warranted, were derailing the original thread. I hope you understand.

    Second, to be clear, mods are permitted to voice their own opinions freely when not in "mod-mode". They are not, however, above the forum code. If you feel a mod is acting inappropriately or in violation of the rules, please do not hesitate to contact either another mod, Hi-Fi or IceIX. I have had my own posts moved by other mods, and I have actually just removed an inappropriate post from a mod and issued a warning for breaking rule number 5 of the forum code.

    Finally, any concerns or frustrations you have with mod decisions, actions or how the forum is being moderated is best directed by contacting the moderator in question or Hi-Fi. Thank you.

    Simply put, and putting all of the representing the company or not stuff aside, imho, a mod who thinks 99% of the players are cheaters and he would be too if he could, should not be a mod.

    Even if I had known about this exploit I would have not used it...no, wait...I would have used it 4 times. For every 5 star cover that I pull so I could get a 4 star, any 4 star. icon_lol.gif

    I guess I'm cynical enough that I believe Malcrof had one thing right - many more people would have been using the exploit if they knew about it.

    The biggest issue to me is when I did some poking around on what the exploit was after they announced it, and someone mentioned that it was put on the "Bugs" board back in February 2014. If all of those boards are supposedly getting read, is there any reason it wasn't fixed sooner? It seems to only be an issue now that it's happening with 5*s.

    Malcrof, normally I defend you but there is no need for your posts. A majority of the playerbase is very irritated as it is, why make it worse?

    Interesting thread... much more interesting than the demands for compensation thread... and not a good interesting, more like a slow down while passing an accident interesting...

    I think Malcrof is entitled to his opinion... mod or not.

    I see where he is coming from, as I've seen an awful lot of faux outrage in my years of life... and it makes me sicker than the act itself most of the time. The people who condemn these cheaters, and post angrily on the forums as they're finishing up their torrent download of Ant-Man... Who complain about making 5* purchasable through CP but say they'll be right back as they go join an alliance for 5 mins because someone is buying a Stark Salary...

    The game is broken because a few people cheated (and yes it was wrong for them to cheat)... who only impacted the people in the 1000 man bracket or 500 man bracket that they were assigned into... and only impacted the people in the reward structure between 1-100 in that small bracket of players... in specific events, likely only PVP... but yeah, the game is broken because of it. Wow.

    And now we'll crucify a guy because he's a mod and is a bit cynical about players who if they read their very own post history would find they have expressed themselves in the very same manner regarding other subjects, or have flopped like a fish depending on the subject at hand. Yeah he can be cynical, but not without reason.

    If you are genuinely outraged... good. If you're expressing outrage because it's what you think you're supposed to do... grow a spine. If you are spewing outrage and condemnation while you do the equivalent in other areas of your life... please stop.

    Heres another one. I download copyright material so everyone else does. I watched antman in the cinema, like I will watch star wars tomorrow night. I watch movies multiple times in the cinema. If I enjoy them. Then buy the blu ray too. I'm not alone in this.

    It's just better in the cinema. Could I sneak in without paying? Yeah where I love is a small place in England. But I want to support something I love. Not because I'm scared of getting caught or I'm too dumb to work it out.

    Because I take pride that I am part of something greater than myself. And it's oh so very sad some people in this thread are so jaded and cynical they just don't understand something like that.

    If cheating is ok then I hope your wives cheat on you. I mean everyone does it, you would do it too of you could. Apparently.

    are we even sure Malcrof posted this has anyone checked on them.. THe sandbox people might of found out where they were and kidnap him and how are posting his account... now the hulk and the rest of the crew have to bust into the apartment and save them....

    Maybe that is the new feature coming icon_e_smile.gif

    Yikes you guys need an actually fun game to take out your anger on because that post was a icon_mrfantastic.png stretch right there If I've ever seen one. If I didn't know better and if I practiced your line of thinking, you're the type to get violent when someone goes against your line of thinking. We need a ton less of that.

    While malcrofs post was far from perfect you guys really need to take a step back and look at the cycle of the devs screwing up, going mia for days/weeks, then letting you guys take your frustration out on eachother, giving 5 HP and promising new better features all while telling you to spend more.

    Stop buying, stop taking frustations out on others, take a break, the less of you play, the more forced they are to change things.

    My take on this craziness:

    Malcrof wasn't using mod voice when making the initial thought. He was posting as a member. Therefore the attacks on his ability to mod are unwarranted. He is allowed an opinion just like the rest of us.
