You want to get in early, like five days ago at least. The pushes are casual until about the last five days of the event, then the season score crew come in and make it competitive.

I second this advice. Ideally you should push to reach 2k and grab baldy a week before the season ends. As the end of the season draws closer, more players will hit shield sim to rack up points for season placement. I made my push this past week, going from 1600 to breaking 2,000 and getting hit 1x. I ended up buying 1 heal, but no shield.

Also, you should be VERY selective in choosing your targets. I only hit targets worth at least 50 points. You want to minimize use of heal packs. since we currently have a good 2 weeks left in the season, I would aim to add at least 200 points per day in shield for a week. Then when you're at the 1500 or 1600 range, make a final push to break 2,000.

Maybe for people who have 166 characters, shields might be optional. But all my teams were even at 147. I would sprint from 1200 to 1600 and get hammered down to 1400. Hammered over and over bouncing between 1350-1700. So the next time I got to 1700, I did an 8 hour shield. I played immediately when it was taken down. I would climb to 1900 and get battered down to 1800. I had to keep pressing and was at 1980 going down to 1920 ... finally 1995 and then over 2000.

It really depends on what characters you have, rather than their levels in particular. 90% of my shield activities relied on a team up of 166 HT, 141 Loki, 166 Hood. As far as health goes, it's on the light side. But it's a very effective team, if played right, that can take out most 3/4* teams (including Thing I might add), with about a 1/3 to 1/4 rate of getting defensive wins.

Well I just got to 2000 and won ProfX, I followed your advice and I did it in two runs, one to get to 1000 yesterday and another one today. Much easier than what I tought, I was attacked just twice (and by the same person, and being a retaliation I think I won more points that what I lost), and I didn't need to use shields.

    So thanxs all icon_e_biggrin.gif

Sitting at p1 just now but won't be for long though.

Anyway help your self to the points I won't retaliate.

Nice one, I was considering capping my 3* at 94 whilst I'm collecting covers, do you think it's a good strategy. Sorry for the off topic question icon_e_wink.gif
No, not any more, since 2* characters get boosted all the way to level 150 now. I had picked 114 as my own soft-cap when the 2* boosted to 134 (meaning there were only 20 levels difference). Now I'm considering taking as many of my 3* up into the 120s as possible (the boosted 2* would still tank for them). Only my Blade can go to 140; I'm not sure if it's worth taking him & him alone up that high.

Anyway I forgot that 1200 was Loki, 1400 was Patch. I'm over 1000 now, will make a push today to see if I can at least get that Loki.

I actually got hit by this combo after breaking 2k points. I was really surprised that let my defense let me down, considering the attacker's hood was like 120s. It's not often that I see the star.pngstar.pngstar.png having the lowest health on a team. icon_lol.gif

Hoods level doesn't have much to do with his actual power which is his effective blue passive. If he's hidden behind others during matches and wont get hit by AOE, he could stay level 40 and still cause problems for the enemy.

Hit my 2k with only 1 attack which gave +10 on the defensive win, so there are points up for grabs for a while, I won't be retaliating tonight.

I'm saving my big push for Monday or Tuesday (weekends always busy). I'm running 166thor/166mags/153loki, sitting at 1560 right now. how high should I be to make my big push? how many points can I reasonably expect to gain in my push? really would like to avoid a shield unless I have an offensive loss or 2. planning on getting up to 1700 or so before then, but not sure I can hover there. ironically I have yet to be hit the entire season - wish that were the case in normal pvps. I used to hover in the 600s, now its the 400s.

I pushed from about 1700 to 2k with my band of 140's (all 3*'s at 140, 4*'s at 150). Though, I used my B and maybe C team at one point to save healthpacks. So, depending on your depth of roster, you should adjust accordingly. I shielded once at like 1970 because I was completely exhausted of healthpacks and viable teams, pissed me off I had to spend 75HP to finish it off, lol.

IF/Cyc/Cage was my go-to - fast and light on the damage taken.
Brought in KK/Cage/Cyc when I didn't want to use a health pack.
Might have done an XF/IF/Cage at some point too.
Finished with She-Hulk, Cage and Loki...best troll team ever! icon_e_smile.gif I'm still shooting about 50% defensive wins, even when I was getting pelted after being unshielded at 2k. It was a slower crash back to 1600 than I expected because of it, lol.

I don't know when the season ends but my suggestion would be to make the push at a weird time before the last few days of the season. I did mine at like 9AM ET and a week before the end of the season, maybe? I didn't get hit once in my climb and thankfully had a shield up when I ran out of juice at 1970. And only got hit twice while shielded.

No way! This team is extremely good. I recorded a video to illustrate, not lvl 300 PvE (too early for my clear) but still good enough I hope. https://youtu.be/1SgRtQFI-pg
  • I like the current format of Sim a lot. Phew, finally it's over. I started playing yesterday and it took me less than a day to climb to the top. The team I used 90% of the time was XF/Cage/CMags and it was relatively easy to climb. I was hit only once (around 1600) and I didn't shield so it's way cheaper now to get a good score. Now I need 400 extra points to get the 10-pack from season. Idol of minions, here I come.

In the interest of giving everyone more data points - I got my PX blue last weekend. Just sort of climbed to about 1800 slowly, then did a final push to over 2000. 1800 seems to be around the equilibrium point for my roster - I get hit for 40 or 50 points in a slow trickle until I'm around there. I expect that point will climb as we get closer to the end of the season, we'll see where I finish the season at.

To add more info - I have a solid 3* roster at 166 with my only 4*s as HB and XF (with the right, IMHO, builds.) Both of those guys are at 225. I made most of my climb with Cyke (4/4/5,) IF (5/3/5 - I need those damn purple covers!) and HB. I suspect the less-than-optimal IF made me something of a target, but I don't know if people checked that deep.

I'm shielded at 1950 right now with my 120s (Thor/Doom/Cage). Hoping for a little luck when I break shield to do my final two fight push to get to 2k so I don't get obliterated down lower than I started.

was just in there, some 60+ point matches in there, pick one with a PX, go in with boosted all/g&b/p&b

save up for traps and get PX down fast, rest should be cake. So deny purple, then unleash thor and you can take out a 200 team, pretend it is a gauntlet node.

OR, use a whales team up and just flatten them .. bring 2* marvel or 3* storm to collect teams ups fast.

edit: and yes, for a lvl 120 team, i find it perfectly acceptable to super whale someone for a PX blue cover.

Not seeing anything over 41 points or I would have boosted the hell out of it and hit 2k already.

Just do two fights in a quick succession! SSim is not as busy as your regular PvP, so you have breathing room after unshielding. Run your scariest/buffest characters for the first fight and your fastest for second, voila, 2000.

W00t. Got it. My first fight lost 25 points between the time I queued it and when I won but the second ended up being worth 10 more than stated so it all worked out. No superwhales involved, just +p/b, +g/b and +all boosts. I fully expect to be pummeled down to somewhere between 1200 and 1500 but I really don't care icon_e_biggrin.gif Feel free to hit me as much as you want if you see me.
