I have never given too much attention to the shield simulator, never had good rewards, but now we have a fabulous profX as a 2000 progression reward, and my problem is that I dont have a clue of how to get there.

When is the best moment to enter? How long the first push? When do I need to use my first shield? Do I have to use shields at all? How many battles each hop? How many days/shields to get there? Is it difficult?

So please people of the forum, help me!

You want to get in early, like five days ago at least. The pushes are casual until about the last five days of the event, then the season score crew come in and make it competitive.

go in early, get to 2k as soon as possible, and be prepared to be slammed back down to 1600 after you have it, that seems to be the stable point for me to not get attacked every other minute.

I got my PX, i still use shield sim to farm some iso and hope for bagman covers, but i make sure not to go over 1800 again, because then i am worth too much.

Not that i ever used Sim towards my season score..

actually, i got my 10 pack and my PX.. who cares, sim all day!

But you got there without using shields and hopping?

Shields for 2k progression? No. I got there back during Cap PvP. Was simple considering you don't have to deal with weekly buffs. Good luck with that the longer you wait though.

Assuming you have a half decent roster, you shouldn't need to shield to get there. Depending on the strength of your roster is where the equilibrium is. Stronger guys in my alliance have hung out at 1700+. I wouldn't personally shield, just climb at your leisure, and let yourself be knocked down if it happens.

Guys in my alliance did it practically in one day, so from whatever point you end up, you should be able to push there.

TL;DR, if you play it, as long as you have a decent Sim team, you'll get there.

You have to watch out for what I call the Icarus Factor, don't get ranked so high that everyone can see you and target you. I got my 1700 point Magneto that I badly needed and smacked back down to 1350. I'm going to go for the Professor again but I'm letting a bunch of people get ahead of me score wise so I have better targets and less exposure.

I built up to about 1300 over the course of a week, playing here and there. Then, when I had extra health packs, I made my run and went straight 2k. No shields, no hopping. I've been attacked for about 300 points so far. But I don't really mind. Am happy to help someone else make the climb now. Not that worried about season points.

i did use 1 8 hour shield. i got to 1900 and was out of health packs, it was the weekend, so i popped on a shield to let people hammer me while we worked on a grandfather oak that was threatening to crush our house with a branch the size of an SUV. 7 blistering hours in the Florida sun with a sawzall and a very helpful friend later, i cleaned myself up, and saw i had been attacked about 2,000 times (glad i shielded) and got my PX Blue and 4k season 10 pack on the same fight. No more shields in the Sim, no more branch looming over the house, many many fresh blisters and a sunburn later, sim is back to being an iso and boredom farm.

    The End.

Edit: KK, Cage, Daken were used in 95% of fights, subbed Doom for Daken if a Hulkbuster or Devil Dino were in there.

Funny Story though.. i saw a Ragnarok, Sentry, Carnage team.. no idea who it was, but they must hate themselves... they won the match for me, all i had to do was keep KK healing and pop off a power or 2 as i saw fit and they committed suicide. (was my last fight before shield, or that would be an auto skip..too much damage to everyone!)

I would start early as well, plenty of points to climb on already and reach 2000. It shouldn't be too hard, depending on your roster of course.

You don't really need to shield either, retaliations are not as frequent as say the typical PVP's.

start now. Don't worry about shielding until you get real close around 1800 or 1900... and only if you run out of health packs before you hit it. I only shielded for that very reason. A couple bad boards used up some health packs, so I was 40 points shy when I ran out. 150 HP for an 8 hr shield while my packs refreshed is cheap for a 4* reward.

When you have 10 health packs, make your push up as high as you can. wait for them to recharge, you'll take your lumps, then push again, once you get within a couple hundred points of 2K, you'll start getting hit about the same time as your trying to make the push to 2K. You'll also find that points displayed won't be the points earned up at that level, just like in PVP. I had 40 points to go and I lined up 3 30+ point matches, but they each ended up only giving me about 7-9 points each.

That last 100 points is the longest. Most people right now are only pushing to hit 2K then not caring, so you won't have to worry about retaliations unless those people are still pushing. If you wait until closer to the end when people are trying to make up points, you'll be hurting.

After my push, I've leveled off at around 1650 points and haven't been hit in a couple days.

I pushed a little bit at the start of the season and then here and there just to bump up my season score to get the 10 pack (about a week ago). I didn't even think about going back to Shield Sim until yesterday and was able to push to 2K without any resistance. Easiest 4* cover I've gotten.

I did it few days ago, within 24 hr span. First I got to over 1k, then stopped for a bit to bring kids out, then before sleep pushed to just under 1700, and in the morning went to 2k. Didn't shield, now I'm slowly going down, but that's OK, as other people need the cover, and I am not chasing season points.

I got to 2k last night. I played a bit every day, couple hundred points every day or so as there were plenty of 70pt matches.

It was pretty easy. Early is key.
  • dont shield just climb, unless you getting attacked alot and can't make it up then u gotta shield. I did it and so can u. watch my stream/youtube on it to see how if you're curious

I'm currently building my team, have a few maxed out 2* Modern Mags, Classic Storm & Modern Hawkeye is my goto for DDQ for example. Also have a maxed out Thor and lvl. 100 Loki, where do you think I could get to realistically in the simulator? Haven't played anything PVP this season so far. Cheers

that's gonna be pretty tough if you're only 2*...there's no powered up characters in sim

Like everyone else has said, you can just start climbing now and it should be fine if you have at least one good team of 166 or better. I got to 2k a few hundred at a time without shielding. Very few hits on Daken, LThor, Blade. I didn't see many teams with maxed 4*s.

It did make me realize I've been spoiled by the fast matches from weekly boosts, though. Taking down other 3*166 teams was kind of slower than I remembered/expected.

Maybe for people who have 166 characters, shields might be optional. But all my teams were even at 147. I would sprint from 1200 to 1600 and get hammered down to 1400. Hammered over and over bouncing between 1350-1700. So the next time I got to 1700, I did an 8 hour shield. I played immediately when it was taken down. I would climb to 1900 and get battered down to 1800. I had to keep pressing and was at 1980 going down to 1920 ... finally 1995 and then over 2000.

I was hit back to 1300 after 2 days.

So you need a plan in order to do it for sure. I couldn't make it without one shield.

Thanks very much for the info, I guess realistically I'm looking at hitting the 900 point with my team of 2* heroes, if I'm lucky……maybe.

I can't seem to get that last 80 or so points. Every time I cross over 1900, by the time I win my next match, I would lose 100-200 points. Perhaps it's because my roster are soft capped at 120, so being ranked top 25 while I'm above 1900 means I'm easy target.
