The guy who watches water boil?
The guy who watches paint dry?
The guy who watches grass grow?
OMG! this is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow and tedious.

    It's really dumb that redwing creates a friendly CD tile that you want to destroy. They should change it so that it creates an enemy tile so that this doesn't happen.

    Last time Top Gun ran, I had a 37-minute match against Viral Core. During a hop. Luckily the shard was pretty dead.

    I am now .. much more careful about leaving falcon for last.

    I had a blast. Ran CMags, Falcon, Mohawk almost all the way through.

    I don't ever leave Falcon for last. Not even in PVE. Bird Strike is such a middle finger that I want him gone before he has a chance to deploy it.

    I genuinely had a blast. I joined the event with 23 minutes left. Drucifer only had a 800+ lead, so I knew my team comp selection was crucial.

    I considered fist buster, but that's what other players would be expecting. My beast was specced 535, but I knew great reward only comes at great risk (or starting pvp with actual time left in the event). I paired him with psyduck and went to work with 16 minutes to go.

    I didn't use boost. Selecting boost took time I didn't have to spare. I knew enemy selection might well decide my fate. I lined up a juicy target in each node and went to work. Although falcon got off his purple, I did not let that deter me, my resolve was to great at this point. 1, 2, then 3 victories.

    Then, I ran out of seeds and called it an event. I believed I had done well. Unfortunately, there would not be a happy ending. I was out lazied by 8 players. 147 out of 155 just doesn't have the same ring as 155 out of 155.

    If only I had chosen bagman over psyduck. Now I live with regret, left wondering what might have been.

    This was the least amount of fun I've had in PVP in forever. Just tedious fights with so, so SO many animations and just a massive blood bath at the top of the brackets. ugh.

    Worst ever... burned thru 1000+ hp jus to get my hulkbuster redtile.png .

    If falcon pvp was so bad, why so many players???? I hopped out of a shield... won my match but got 2 retals immediately. Ouch!

    Yeah, I burned through way more than I'd had liked to (I think about 800ish in my case) due to bad luck, but still cheaper than 2500 imcoin.png for a HB cover. I ran Patch/Falcon/Loki. Seemed to win relatively fast (though sucks on defense)

    Try being the guy who had only one battle to get the 1000 point reward. While in said battle was attacked 13 times and lost 295 points. Yep, you guessed it....all in the space of less than 5 minutes. I simply cannot explain the frustration.

    Thats pretty much my team, minus CMags. Falcons yellow strengthening Mohawks hailstorm tiles = a good time to be had. icon_e_biggrin.gif

    :/ I only had to shield hop once to get my HB. Nothing like good ol' SexMagnet to get things done. 75 HP for a 4* isn't bad.

    I refuse to recruit Falcon. I cannot stand him. I'd sooner pay $$ to cover Ragnarok.

    Every character you bring to a match does not have to be the featured buffed characters. I did well with CMags plus Loki on support to steal AP and convert protect tiles into strike tiles, accelerating the match. Even had some defensive wins on defense. (Yay! +3 points per win!)

    I enjoyed it, in part because the boosted combo of Patch and CMagneto was just so much fun; sure it back fired on a number of occasions, but it work sweetly far more often. Reached 1000 points without needing a shield (unheard-of for me), let it slide back to 600 during work, then between 3:15 to go til 2:15 in the slice headed back up to about 1000 again (only being hit once in that hour) and shielded out for a top 50 spot.
    Berserker rage, spam protection tiles, unload Magneto Powers, watch as people crumble, match out for any left overs, cackle, win to find you've not been hit for 100 points, repeat. What's not to love?

    as long as I don't lose loki I always leave falcon to the end. when the other choices in the event so far have been: mags, panther, patch, fist, imhb, xf, 4hor, fury, cage, storm, loki. leaving any of them is not smart. mags/loki all the way for me. and with falcon still tanking yellow I was able to let him take some of the damage when a yellow match was available. last falcon event I remember not having loki in a match and it went on forever. won't ever take on falcon again without loki. I probably rely too much on my loki but not using him seems risky, so i'll continue.

    I didn't used to like Falcon either and refused to recruit him. Now that I have characters like Blade, Beast, Patch and Daken leveled pretty high, I see his value and have been leveling him up too. I only have a couple covers for Luke Cage but I'd imagine a team of maxed Falcon, Iron Fist and Luke Cage would be pretty bad ****.

    Falcon is especially great against goons when they create special tiles on the bottom of the board and/or the cascades refuse to give you more of the color so you can match it. Plus with Goons you can control the board easier and keep increasing the values of your own special tiles.

    not sure where the hate for falcon is coming from. if you are pvp only and never touch pve, yeah, he doesn't have much use. but he's in one of my goon teams for pve (falcon/witch/gsbw), and hes in my enchilada team (blade/cap/falcon). he's just a specialist that isn't generally very strong by himself but put him in the right situation (special tiles/goons) and he's better than some of the big names in the game (imhb/fist/cage/thor etc.)
