My slice 2 bracket only has 640-ish. Doubt it will fill unless right before the end.

Yeah I'm seeing 635, so it's very unlikely to fill, probably thanks to our updates haha. Thank god Chey... joined later than the rest of us; I've lost top 2 to him a few times. Jury duty today will mess up my grind and start of the last sub. I hear there's carnage and doc ock paired together.

Jumped into Slice 5 and i think i may be in a newbie bracket, i'm usually Vet.

From the first Carnage run my PvE scores have been
    Carnage1 - 4
    Middle one - 42
    Carnage2 - 5
    Gamora - 151
Thing - Did not get ranked (game crashed)

Before that i've usually been top 50 at the very least.

    Joined at 640, it's now at 840......

  • Thanks to all for the updates.

Gonna late-start this one, so it's good to know what's what.

    Cheers!

    P.S.

Are any of you late starters in ALLIANCES? How do they feel about this method of joining events?

depends on the focus of your alliance. some are basically pvp only - I just joined one of those and the timing could not have been better with this event going on.

My alliance has (well, HAD, they all quit recently) semi-retired vets for commanders, and they really don't care much about anything, short of you actually playing something every day.

We end up T250 and above in everything without much strain, and it seems to work for everyone!

I placed #60 in the Hunt and always get top 100, usually top 50. It's entirely possible I got a noob bracket as the top 10 scores range from #1 Brandy R @ 11,644 to #10 Maguire @ 5,936 and I don't recognize any of them. I'm not the type to pay much attention to names though, so if it's not someone from the forum I'm used to seeing then I won't recognize them anyway.
I'm in the same slice as you Vynyv and I'm certain I'd be in a Vet slice. Placed 5th in The Hunt with 71,000 and as I said I usually take top 10, occasionally top 20. 250 days played and 66 hero roster, haven't missed an event since Jan. If Udonomefoo is certain he's Vet too then there must be parallel slices.
Well, that is very strange then, because I am increasingly convinced that I am in a newb/normal bracket. Despite entering at rank 735, I am now sitting in the top 10, and the only extra work I did was two additional clears at the end of the first sub. If this is a vet/hard bracket, it would certainly be the most relaxed one I have ever been in.

By the way, are you also there in the top 10, shriekingwillow?

Edit 1: Nevermind, I see you at #13. Don't you think this bracket is a bit on the easy side? Not that I'm complaining about it.

Edit 2: Maybe Kingpin and Falcon just aren't very attractive rewards for people? That's the only alternative explanation I can think of right now.

nice bracket, 35k is only good enough for #4 in mine right now. Final sub starts in about an hour.

This is why I would really like to know what determines the bracket type. Not just because it will help improve the accuracy of bracket size reports either. If we can reliably put ourselves into easy brackets, then join time would not even matter all that much.

For this PVE, i only needed t50, but the 50k iso from green checks across the board helps too. Choosing a late/new bracket is good if you only want covers, if you want all the little things that go along with the long haul, start early.

Slice 3 most definitely will not fill. Currently 383 players. I doubt there's enough points left to get into the top 50 (I can see #43 @14189 points), but you could probably get into the top 150 fairly easily.

    WTH????? lol

I just joined Slice 5, and I am #366. And I came in like 105th last time, LOSING OUT on a frakking Thing cover. And I'm STILL not considered "newb"?

    Silly.
