I love getting "Sui-sundered" by ares when he has 87 health and dead next turn.
I love having 70 points and 4th matchup some will get hit for 4k from a buffed onslaught, may as well face xf that early.
Sorry but I just really hate this character and I always attack people that use him out of spite
Wait, so let me get this straight: there is one character that you absolutely hate to play against and that costs you way too much of your characters' health when he's on the opposing team, so your response is to... intentionally play against any team that features that character?

Let Patch take any nuke, heal up in 3 turns, stare in awe at your full health.0

Unfortunately, Patch doesn't work very well in torch pvp event unless you're using the loaner torch. Otherwise HT will tank green/red colors and take all the damage that Patch would normally soak up.
Also, Patch is a weenie against a buffed Loki/Hood team. A 280 Hood's yellow attack will do 9,450 damage. Good luck accumulating the colors to fire off Patch's abilities.0 -

Probably not.
This is what I want to know. There was the question in a thread awhile back if 3* Patch was boosted, would he better than XF (would they need a nerf): this will be the test to let us know. 270 patch over say 220 X-Force?
I actually have 2 max covered Patches (1 not max 166 though). I might experiment and see how well buffed Patch does teaming w/ Torch and Ldaken.0 -
currently sitting at #1 taking advantage of lvl 231 thor and170 ares with loaner torch.
hope i get a bunch of defensive points overnight.
i know i'd stay away from that team.0 -
Well I'm up to 500 in Slice 2. initial run was easiest to 500 I've ever had. Mostly loaner Torch, Patch, Ares...did not use a health pack (I know this for sure because i still have 8). I was surprised to use even less variety than usual in my team. Buffed Patch and Ares are so strong and efficient, plus Lthor and Loki plus behind them, there was no reason to use Cyclops, IF, Cage etc, which I usually do until start sering XOR teams in yhe 300s. That's not a complaint as much as an observation. I do expect tomorrow forward to be a bloodbath and health pack city, so it's cool to know I have several high level options to try instead of just Lthor/XF until Hulk bomb late, which is my norm. Still very open to this change at this point.0

Patch is also buffed in this event. He has 11K HP and can take a 9K hit fine given that nothing else should even put a dent on his HP when he's regenerating 721 a turn. Now whether you can beat The Hood + Loki at equal level is another question altogether, but there's nothing special about this matchup compared to normal because they both get the same buff.0 -
Patch + Loki + Featured has always been my go to team, so I'm a little ecstatic that both of them will be buffed. Here's hoping the 1000 point mark is actually now in reach ^^0
-
It'll be interesting to see who people end up using at the top. Read: If anyone decides to try diversity instead of sticking to the tried'n true. If any 3* buffs would make people consider it, I think these are them. Some serious powerhouse characters, including the two arguable best supports. Going to be a bumpy ride...0

Having the rotating buffs make who tanks colors more unpredictable will be... Interesting, to say the least0

This.
I'm relying on 4Thor until the nerf which should come any second now. I'm up to 870ish pts and need Xforce Blk desperately. 159 days in and 0 blk covers. Trying to enjoy him for at least a day or two before he's nerfed0 -

This was referring to prebuff Ares. Think it through.0 -

His points on Ares are right on point. Normally he is overpowered, and marginal players have long leaned on him. HIm being buffed is annoying in some measure, especially for an event called "hot shot" which features the human torch, but more idiotic and misguided than anything.
I normally make a point to hammer anyone I see using a 94 Ares as well. This 170 business? Well a fully upgraded hood patch and 90% upgraded torch is a nice little dreamcrush for a legion of also rans who are punching above their weight this event, because of D3s current psychotic break.
Speaking of which, as a guy with stacked 3 star characters I probably shouldn't even run into 2 star characters, but I guess that is an apology for the likes of me getting hammered by teams with stacked 4 star characters. That is to say, if D3 had something other than an ez bake over which could make genuinely fair pvp matchups lots of this type of talk would be gone.0 -
It's been an interesting event thus far. The problem w/ a HT/Hood/Loki defensive team is their relative low health, and attackers are taking advantage of that w/ the traditional xf/goddess matchup. On the flip side, my usual xf/ldaken tag team works quite well w/ HT's fireball as a fast damage team.
Overall, I'm certainly seeing a bit more diversity, but the top guys are still resorting to xf/goddess.0 -

Goddess does about as much damage as Torch so there isn't much point bringing her. I've been using Xforce Hood since the nerf.
2* gain 81% damage, 3* 69% (HT 75%) and Nick Fury gets a whopping 22%. What the hell is the point of non-consistent buffs? Fury has barely more life than Ares and his purple does less than Ares' yellow.0 -
I like it a lot. The boosted 3*s feels a whole lot like balanced 4*s, and this is a pretty good batch of them. Loki might be a tad OP with 10k health though.
Goddess is officially unusable.0 -

Looking at the buffed list I'm guessing they pick the most broken 3*s possible to see if people will use those over 4*s since if that doesn't work then there obviously is no point to test this idea any further either.0
