The Simulator

first in line. with 2 days left out of a 4.5 day event i have 15k points. Unless stage 3 the points go insane or this will be the first final reward i miss.

    My alliance hasn't bothered with this event, its the first one where even the hardcore members have backed off. From day 1 we could tell that the grind was going to be outrageous for the rewards offered.

    The good thing about this event is that it has given a break to many. I was able to try out a new game called The Escapists on steam - great game and is literally a smaller footprint in terms of file size when compared to MPQ.

    I'm probably going to finish in the top 10 for no reason other than nobody else seems to give a enough of a damn to beat me. I've been playing very casually by daily player standards, hitting a selection of nodes maybe every 10-12 hours or so, mostly to pick the Iso out of them. I don't need the Widow covers and I have no interest in competing with the handful of grinders going for the top 2. If I could magically tank out of the top 150 overall at the end so someone else could get the placement covers I would, but since I'm likely to keep picking at the subs it looks like I'll be taking GSBW covers from someone who "needs" them. Oh well. More Iso and HP for me, I guess.

    What killed me in round 2 was all of the events with wolv. in them and how high a rank he is 90 to 110. He is my best player and taking him away really killed the fun in the game. Planning on grinding the 3rd nod so maybe i might it but doubt i can put 40k in 36 hours. I see very few playing cause the first nods i just hit the Ess in the hard and was able to come in 4th.

    Funny thing first nod i was 54th Easy. 4th hard. BUT overall i was 96th ummm okay
    even now with just playing 1 of the ess in hard im like And this is just playing one match in hard 29th.

    funny thing is 1st has like 11k 10 has 3k

    Just to add insult to injury, (not sure if this affected anybody else) as I was playing the remainder of the nodes today, I had a refresh on nodes I hadn't even completed once yet... Not only is that 45k reward out of reach, I'm being kicked while I'm down by depriving me of max possible points to even grab a glimpse of it. I would definitely say that this PVE was broken. Don't blame people for not making the grind.

    The timers get messed up when the game is looking to push an update. The timers are wrong, but the points are right. To fix the timers, force close the game and restart it.

    Pretty much this. I've held top 10 in Hard SIM with only 1 full clear and then essentials after that. I've been ignoring Normal for the most part (top 75) and I have 35,000 points.

    If you have no chance at final SIM rewards it's because you haven't been playing.

    Ha. I think I have only hit the final progression in 1 of the last 4 events. Not going to make this one.
    In past I would normally have hit this goal long before the end of the event.
    I think this has to do with DDQ. I have needed every cover offered there. So I have spent most of my playing time getting those. I'd rather start filling some additional cover slots on characters I have then have a 1 cover Cyclops or Iron Fist sitting at the tail end of my roster for who knows how long.
    I think my grind in the event will be to reach the Simulator token, where as always I will pull a blackflag.png Moonstone.

    They definitely made the progression reward way too high. Only those who could reach it, likely already have Punisher.

    This event was a huge step backwards for PVE where the previous events since the move to 8hr refresh has been highly attainable.

    I hope the next event doesn't stay this way.

    Just curious, Was the 45,000 an easier goal when the refresh was shorter then 8hrs?

    I started with just a few minutes left in the first subs and made the progression reward with more than a day to spare. But I also found this to be the easiest Hard sub yet in simulator (my first-ever full clears in one!), so apparently I'm strange in many ways.

    I took a laid back approach as I don't need any of the (cover) rewards (sure, I could sell 'em for iso8.png ). So I beat each node once & let the timer run down. Plus even on the original pass, it was a bit of a struggle, not really eager to retry again).

    I just hit the 20k point progression reward though I have not been playing as much each day due to RL; primarily only hit the essentials for each sub once or twice each day.
    While getting my first redflag.png Pun would awesome - I'm finding it hard to muster any enthusiasm for this game.

    I've seen that happen from time to time. Restarting the app always cleared it up for me.

    Nope. No way will I make the final reward. Usually I hit it with a day or more to spare, but the rewards for this event are way too low. And for me, the hard sim is impossible, so I can maybe do one or two nodes, at most. This was a really poorly executed PVE.

    I'm probably capable of hitting the progression, but I've soured quite a bit on PvE.

    Just hit the 45k progression reward with a day+ left to go. I haven't completed any of the Hard subs, basically doing the essentials and few random nodes when I can and just basic clears on the normal. It's a lot harder to hit the progression rewards in this pve, but if you play with any consistency at all, you can. Don't even have to grind hard.

    the largest bulk of simulator points come from the center essentials, especially hard sim. if you cant do those, youre in a world of hurt. i just hit 45k a few hours ago and im sitting 21 overall in my bracket, top is 78k. ive really not been super grinding just running normal 3x a day and hard basically the essentials +2 maybe twice a day. i wasnt even aiming top 50 when the event started. this has been a really low participation event.

    Ive only done 4 passes through the easy Sim and Im sitting close to 16k, so if you could do some of the hard, and pushed the easy, it seems like it would have been totally feasible.

    That said, its not a huge loss to miss out on the Frank cover. Power creep has passed him by. He is fairly solid, but none of his skills are close to top of their color.

    Main bracket = 1,000 players
    Subs = 200 players

    Nothing funny about math

    I ended up missing too much time due to work and sleep and stuff. I went to bed at 4am last night as usual, got up at 12 and went to work at 1. So I missed 13 hours of PvE time and a couple of hours of the new sub events.

    I was aiming for top 50 because I needed one purple and one red to complete GSBW. Don't see it happening now though. Maybe a single red if I'm lucky.
