The article mentions Avengers vs Xmen. Is that why D3 chose to use this version? Or is that just wishful thinking on my part?

Avengers vs Xmen, Civil War, Secret Invasion, Annihilation Wave; so many Marvel stories/events to choose from. Wishful thinking on my part again, but Annihilation Wave would be an awesome Survival Mode event. Wave after wave of Nega-Zone bugs then a final battle with Annihilus, (not sure on spelling, but I'm referring to the big bug guy with the control rod that rules the negative zone).

Ahhh well, I just hope this version of Cyclops does mean AvX.

That cover? Yes. It was a cover from an issue back in 2010.
Deadpool locking himself in the bathroom? All too common.

In his defense, if you ate half stuff Deadpool stuffs down his gullet, you would spend a lot time in the bathroom too. He might be the DEgenerate that can REgenerate, but the human, (and I use the term "human" loosely with Deadpool), digestive system can only handle so many tacos without explosive results.

I was going with it being a leak for a 2* deadpool, but I could see him locking himself in a bathroom.

This is the first release since Blade that I'm actually excited about, his abilities sound pretty well thought out (love dat yellow!) and it seems like he'll work well with the other X-Men in the game which is awesome.

Definitely looking forward to this. I love Cyclops because he is such a disaster and I just can't look away. The man is a needless prick, and having karma rain down on him is terrifically satisfying.

I do like his Marvel Now outfit. He's been wearing it for a few years already, so it makes sense that they'll be using it. The colors seem off to me, though. I feel like the levels are off, and his base color should be more black than maroon.

Still, my nostalgia really wants to see this costume

Although, if I REALLY wanted to choose a costume, I would go with Young Cyclops's new digs:

Finally a red generator! Now we only need a better yellow one than Mjolnir's Might to be all set (and perhaps a more reliable purple generator than Mystique).

Only thing I don't like about this announcement is Cyclops colours. is the new in terms of overdone while most combinations still languish without any character. I do get that there's nothing purple in this version of Cyclops, but I could see him having blue and appearing in the also neglected

Jump the Shark would be an epic DP power. I see him dressed like The Fonz jumping a kiddie pool with Tiger Shark splashing around in it.
