I still don't understand how people truly compete in these events when you basically get STOPPED at a certain point level or match total. "Oh, you reached 180 points? Well, now you won't advance beyond that... have a nice day and give us your money."

Spent a lot so far, love the game, but give me a freaking break.

Well done Devs, this change has definitely reduced out of game communication. Oh yes, none of that going on at all in this event. Hats off.

It is probably luck or the timing of your push. I have a similar experience in the last pvp... But in this one I was hit three times out of two shield hops. One was extremely painful because bonfire hit me within my one game hop. In the end I decided to hop through a 24hr shield... hopefully the points can keep me in top 5.

I think that's more the other two PVPs, not the Sunday-Wednesday one. If they standardize times across all three PVPs the stratification might be a little more consistent.

It's a fun read and really changed how I look at people who complain about other people not adhering to their made-up rules. Even though it has lead to a choleric friend of mine smashing his xbox controller because he kept loosing in Street Fighter 4 with his hard to play character (Cammie) against my easy to play character (Ryu).

I want to thank you for quadruple sniping me.
With the new shield system out there, it is almost impossible to make up those points. So yeah I might not get that Thor cover.
I want to thank you, because you showed me that there really are still people out there who enjoy griefing people and don't care about the fact that they represent their Alliance or how hard it is to earn points now.
Immortal Rage is the alliance that has Soundwave in it, and I always assumed that he was the only jerk of the bunch and I have avoided hitting you guys unshielded.
In fact, I tend to be rather nice about trying not to hit people including you _Apocalypse_. I usually just wait until they are shielded and save the node for later.
Heck I had even avoided sniping Soundwave for quite a while now.
So to the people of Immortal Rage if I hit you while you are unshielded, please consider it payback for what your commander did.

In response: dude, where's the rule of engagement in pvp? Seriously? So I'm supposed to wait 20 minutes while you are worth 40, 35, 30, 30. It's a freaking game. You can send your whole minions after me and drop me down to 1 point and I wouldn't be crying in here. Thanks for begging for mercy coz I am APOCALYPSE after all. And if u'd think it was SW calling u out, I punch my own cards.

I can't believe that people actually feel offended. Whitecat, I could start by saying, if you're not shielded AND your the most points of my 3 nodes and I could beat you with my roster, I'd attack until it's not worth as much. You could have shielded before he attacked or you could not have. If you shielded before this...it's on you. Nobody else.

Grow a pair is the correct response as being part of the SAME alliance I won't hit you. But you aren't immortal rage, so you are a double plus. You get hit. He gets points, your alliance drops. It's how the game works. Get a strategy.

I've been sniped many times and I just have to make my own grounds. So if I'm classless by responding then so be it. If every abide by the "waiting till I'm shielded" law, this game would be so boring. So while I wait for this WhiteCat to shield in 20-30 minute, it's fair to justify me losing points? When I'm only looking for the biggest points that keeps showing up my my q?

sniping someone 4 times in a row is a clear attempt of making things personnal.. so stop acting like you ve made it randomly.. there are enough points out there to hit ppl only once (maybe twice with the cache i concede).. if you re the profesionnal of pvp as you stated before, you know what you have done.. sniping is part of the game and i will never be here moaning (i have my fair share every pvp at least -250 in this event)..but hitting someone 4 in a row is deliberate and classless.. no other way to put it around..

Do you see the quote button in the upper right hand corner of your response. That allows you to capture the wording in between HTML code to show the quotations. You can edit it. I hope this helps your post savviness in the future.

You are correct there are no "golden" rules of engagement in PVP. There is the golden rule of life. Do to others as you would have them do to you. It is in something called a bible. Luke 6:31. It is an ethical moral teaching and I only quote the source for citing reasons not religious reasons. I won't dare insist that people should not believe or not believe in the "one above all"

The reason why we don't snipe people 4 times super fast while they are unshielded is because we would not want it done to ourselves, our friends, or alliance mates.

Now a couple of things. I don't have minions. I am not a commander of an alliance. I represent myself in this posting, although I do admit I am in a great alliance with people I can call an X family and I am protective of them. I do not want my words or actions to imply they agree or disagree with me. You on the other hand are THE Commander of Immortal Rage. One of only two commanders. You represent Immortal Rage. Now before people start going, hey he is just one commander and what he does or say doesn't reflect others in his alliance, look at all the other top 25 alliances. You will see all of them have a multitude of "friends" who help share in the burden of being a commander.
So I believe it is safe to surmise what you may or may not teach or tell your "minions" is a reflection on Immortal Rage leadership and how Immortal Rage wants to represent itself.

So I am not crying. I thanked you for what you did. Yes, the thank you may have been a touch sarcastic, but no tears are being shed. I also understand how you are trying to be insulting by saying I did cry, or even better begged for mercy.
I do appreciate you saying you don't care if you, or by extension, all your Alliance mates(minions) are sniped and knocked down to 1 point. I like how you do the "Come at me Bro" line so well, disingenuous as it is. I like how you are more than willing to spend their money for the shields and points they will lose, for the sake of your ego. I like it, because it makes it easier for people to hit Immortal Rage people unshielded, because we know they would do it to us, without caring.
Some of us use something called a Moral Compass to guide out actions, and this makes our actions easier to choose

I also never said or indicated that Soundwave asked you to hit me. Although, by the way the lady protest too much, methinks, I think you were trying to impress Soundwave. For all of Soundwave's flaws, he does make lots of points in PVE and PVP and has easily given MPQ at least 5,000 dollars over the year. So I can see why you want to keep your new whale in the fold and impress him. Perhaps you can change your name to "starscream" or some type of variant, honestly I think it would fit you.
Speaking of Gold and golden rules... you might want to look up something else that is golden...........

Thanks for the kind words WhiteCat & Frankynight. I am only "commander" for easy access to alliance shuffling when the only commander is not around. You quote about "doing something others as you would done to others". Maybe I wasn't the first one to moan and whine about being sniped 3-4x. Maybe a long time ago I was yommommaaaa and unfracture you may have accidentally done the same to me. So maybe this law applies the same to you as it would to me. So I'll leave it at that. And maybe I've been sniped so many damn time during my rising I got fed up and henced, reincarnated to APOCALYPSE.

And about SW, he's a good player, a gr8 with the best out there. And no, I'm not trying to impress him or keep this whale with us for that matter. Heck I don't even speak with him, I only do hand signals, coz we r cool like that. And if he leave IR so be it, we dip we dip, we dive we dive, but one thing, we won't complain and wine.

On a positive note, we (mid lvl point achievers) may not be able to reach stride of 1400+ PTs and we often shutoff at the 1,300 mark (if the covers are deserving; such as this one for me), we IR congratulate ur crew on setting such a high feat even with the cool downs. We offer thanks for providing us such high PTs for us to make goals and collect rewards and in all honesty; without u guys, a lot of minimum money spenders like myself wouldn't get to see a thorina if not for a very luck standard recruit token.

Cheers and good luck. I don't take to heart if u wack me 4-100x. It just makes the game more fun and I'm enjoying it as long as I can before March, when I kno I will have more important things to tend.
