Seriously D3, W T F! (Missing or Frozen Scores/Points)

This happened to me yesterday. Cost me about 3 to 4k in points and killed my spirit to continue, i was in top 5. Now im done to about top 15..... Never got the points back.

I think I might have gotten the points that I should have from clearing 2 nodes. When I loaded the game, they were added to my score, putting it where it was supposed to be.


edit, .... just read the post below from Will. I played two nodes, one for 105 points, the other for 160. I left the game and reloaded it and my scores where at the right level.....
BUT.... after reading Will's post, I see I cleared them after the bug was fixed.
Which means that I was lucky enough that I did a clear before the bug was introduced and my refresh was ready after it was fixed.
Which means my above post about my score being right is invalid. Sorry about that.

This happened to me too.
First it was the scalling, then it was the 'no missions available', now this.. What's next?During a new char's release this is a BIG issue. I wonder how they will solve this.

Thanks, all - we're in the process of determining whether we can identify from our database those players whose points weren't recorded and for whom the problem didn't fix itself when we squashed the bug. That'll help to determine how we'll try to make it up to you. It's looking like that will happen early next week. I or someone else on the team will update this thread with more information then.

What happened here: we introduced a bug at around 10:15 Eastern this morning when attempting to deploy a fix for an issue where some players (not necessarily any overlap with those affected by this bug) see enemies that are much lower level than expected. The problem only showed up for some players, and we didn't hit it in our automated tests or manual testing. We identified the probable source of the problem at around 11, tested a fix, and deployed it just after noon. Later today, we also deployed a better fix for the original issue we were trying to solve.

Very sorry about that, and I really appreciate your reports that let us track the problem down.

Quality Control seems to be greatly lacking.

I think it goes with out saying, PVE time sharding was not ready for prime time. Events have been a mess since "testing" on Iso-8

BTW since Prodigal Sun began (5 days) I've been #2 in my main bracket, right up until this morning where points stopped accruing. I'm now 7th, 24k behind the bracket leader

Even if it's always been with 2k points which meant that it would have been a close fight all the way to the end. But this glitch has made it such that the cover is now practically yours. Congratulations. The bug has actually helped you rather than screwed you.

Anyway.. FYI. We have been switching back and forth between 1 and 2 this entire event. (except the time I finished #3 under Vertigozooropa). A difference of around 200 to 500 points. Where do you get 2k? Because when you finish clearing every node right before I start, then yeah, you would be ahead. But then you stop and I clear mine. Or I clear my nodes just before you start and put you behind. But then you do a clear and catch up. So that doesn't count. Only the final score.

I will say this though. You have been giving me one heck of a run. The whole back and forth thing is kind of exciting though, don't you think? When I say I've been busting my @ss, I mean it. Because I knew if I didn't, if I missed a single clear, I wouldn't be able to catch up. Between you and Vertigo, I'd just be SOL.

However, the claim that you finished #1 in every sub is **** and you know it because we have been in the same subs every time and I know I finished #1 at least once that I can remember. I think twice, but I'd have to check.
Seriously, grow up. Will said the bug was fixed, so stop crying and do what I did, get back to the game. While you sit there and complain, I am actually grinding away. So don't try to blame the glitch. The event is not over yet. Anything can happen, especially if some heavy rubberbanding kicks in at the end.

As for me making "nonsense" claims... guess what? I record every match I play. Would you like to see screen shots of me sitting in #1 slot?

It's funny how you say you were ahead the entire time, but left off the last of my post in your quote, so allow me to add it for you.

I guess the pic below is where you got the whole "you were ahead by 2k from". So, yeah, you were right. Your score is definitely 2k higher than mine . Oh, ... wait. Uh.....

Hey guys, this happened to me oo this morning. I actually quit playing after noticing my scores weren't registering. I was fluctuating between 25 and 35 without using Loki. I had just gotten Loki from the sentry pvp and used hp to make a roster spot for him. Now, I am ou of luck and I have a character I don't really want and spent hp on so I could compete even further in the pvp. I really don't want to dedicate any more time to this effort after I got screwed. I am not begging for compensation or anything, but maybe you could give me a few hours of my life back.

The 2k is on the main whenever the subs ended. For the record, it was 800 me in the lead after first sub ended, 2000 in the lead after the second sub ended and 1500 in the lead after the 3rd sub ended. That score is actually significant since there's no rb at the top levels. Which means that whatever lead is locked in and unless there's a boo-boo in subsequent subs, it does add up. True, you did take the crown on the easy sub yesterday but all other subs, it was me. And yes, that screenshot shows you in the lead coz I wasn't able to do a full clear after the 4th round started yesterday whilst you did. Not knowing when the issue will be fixed, I went to sleep thus conceding permanent victory to you. Unless you let me catch up. Lol.

Dude, your initial claim is just misleading. You claimed to stay #1, but here you are saying both of you have been switching back and forth and you were trying to catch up ... doesn't quite match your initial claim?

Tell you what, I'll slow down, ( not stop, just slow down, still have to help my alliance ), if you can catch up over the next 2 days, then, in the last hour or so, I will slack off and let you have the #1 rank. I'll let you catch up some to make up for the clears you missed. Since I got lucky and was able to go back to grinding immediately after the glitch, I was able to get a lead while others didn't know the game was working again. In a way, this did give me a bit of an advantage. Just look out for Vertigo. I don't think they will sit back and do nothing. (S)he seems like a pretty serious player. So, if at the end of the event, you are within, say, 2k points, (you did say less than 2k would have been a close fight) and in #2, then I'll slow up and let you pass.

Or if you would rather, we can get our scores as close as possible and just race for it. #1 rank only gets 1 extra cover so I'm not going be upset if I don't get it. My actual goal when starting this event was do my part to make sure my alliance gets top 50, (we've been top 15 the whole time, but anything can happen at the end) and personaly get top 5. As long as I get the first of each cover, I'm good . Seriously, this events been the most fun I've had in a while on this game. I'll let you catch up some so it will be more intense.

. As I said in another post, I got lucky with how my refresh timers fell. I finished a clear just before the bug and my next one came due right after. Of course, I didn't realize this until I read the post from Will about what time it happened. I was here on the forum and saw the thread about the glitch, but apparently I only saw it at the end. Because when I went into the game to try it, it worked fine, so I just went back to grinding.

Honestly, as I said, this has been pretty exciting trying to stay at the top. Going back and forth really does get the old ticker pumping. After all, it is a game. I play games for the excitement and entertainment. And going against you, well it's been exciting to say the least. You are, without a doubt, one heck of a player.

So, here's the challenge. If you can catch up and stay in #2, then you can have the extra cover. Deal???

@Jazz5, ... just so you know, that screen shot, and half a dozen others I could post, was before the glitch. But the only scores that I care about are the final scores at the end. All scores leading up to that really aren't worth debating about. As too my initial post, you're right. I should have been more clear and said "busting my @ss trying , (but not always succeeding,) to stay #1". So, yeah, that one was on me.

It`s not fixed, T.mountain this morning, took 630pts away from me, saw the pts counter surpasse 180k and when i checked the total score, was -630pts exactly, so i`m getting the shaft.
