  • So if i'm understanding correctly event missions like the sub-events in Nevada / Bolivia reset every 8 hours from when you first beat them? and normally it is 12 hours but is different for the hulk event?
Or do they reset every 8 hours based on a set time so at like the 16 hour remaining mark and 8 hour remaining mark?

They reset 8 hours after you complete a match.

just got my punisher as well icon_e_smile.gif on the first iteration my team was too weak for many missions and I didn't have a punisher which made me lose out on many points icon_e_smile.gif

So I think there are a few big reasons why we left 50K in the rearview mirror this time around. First we really understood the refresh rate and how to maximize stats. First time around it wasn't clear for a few days it was 8 hours and if you wanted to get three refreshes in you had to go within the first two hours of the new missions going live. I would say as a group we were way more efficient even if it was just mining the top values and leaving some of the smaller values on the table. Second it isn't Christmas and so more of us were able to revert to our typical get every point way of life without frowns from friends and family. Third the US friendly timing. There are more Us players and farming three times at Noon 8 PM and 10AM is just easier for the biggest group in the player base. Fourth more players have Hulk and Punisher and so those missions are not off limits for them and those points allow for more rubberbanding leapfrog. Fifth we just got better at this with a second chance optimizing strategies even for the Lvl 247 missions they aren't easy but I do know how to beat them consistently and how long it takes to do it. That probably holds true for a lot of others too.

IceIX said that all progression awards were a function of the players and this second go around of The Hulk really seems to show that as only 70 got Punisher first time and I am guessing it will be 3000 or more that get it this time. Mainly because we all played better this time around.
  • Seems like people aren't playing much anymore (myself included). I ended the last subs at around #130. I've finished each mission in the subs once, for pretty small points, topped out at like #32 and since then I've fallen all the way to... #600ish.

I can't say I'm surprised. Not much point in grinding now that we've made 50k. And it doesn't look like ranking is going to change a whole lot either.

I pretty much agree. I needed that last Punisher cover to finish off my Punisher and all i really want is top 1500 for three more Hulk covers to have me on my way to a useful leveled Hulk. Been saving all the ISO from the event to pour into Hulk after the end tomorrow night. Think I can just mine the top value missions and not grind to zero all the way through I think I'm pretty good to get top 1500 again.
  • I understand the whole 8 hour reset thing, and until today I was figuring it out pretty well. However today for Bolivia and Nevada I'm grinding to get 50 and 80 points at a time, while the leaders have 3900 and 7900 respectively. No way can I get those kind of points on the missions I'm playing. I'm still a newbie compared to most of you, so I might be missing something obvious.

If your rank in the overall Hulk event is high your missions won't be worth as much as players just starting the event today or those that are really low in overall ranking.

So the rubberbanding will probably prevent you from doing well in that subevent but those people ahead of you with huge numbers probably aren't going to place as well as you overall.

    Ok, that makes sense. Thanks.

Yep the rubberbanding is much stronger the further in we are, and these are the last sub events. I can't get below 1600 in the lower level subevent to save my life.

Yeah, I'm with you. But as long as I finish above 1500 over all I'm happy
  • And there is Bucky in the lead AGAIN! Go Bucky, go!
  • I went from over 5000 to top 10 in 24 hours... I understand the reasoning for rubber banding but it should be reduced to nothing once you reach the fourth or third reward tier.

On another note 5 blue in spidey makes a huge difference in these final missions. It doesn't really matter what the levels of the opponents are. That was a good investment.
  • Spidey is the critical team member for me in ALL of those high level missions (the 200+ level ones; the 185 and below are doable without him). That stun has been my saving grace.
