    I just hit 50k, and I don't think I did any full set deletions since like day 4

    I think that's actually probably it. That and people not being unable to play as much due to Christmas obligations. I know that impacted my play time.

    IceIX did state that there were no changes whatsoever between this event and the last.

    Last round I won, I missed a couple missions because I did not have punisher early on until I bought the pack to get him, so I had missed 1-2 refreshes, who knew it would make this big of a difference ... my fault so many people missed 50k last time I guess icon_lol.gif My bad for not spending money earlier ... sorry! icon_e_biggrin.gif

    Got my red punisher this time. I missed by 800 last time. I[m currently around 500 in the rankings, so it looks like a lot more than last time. IceIX said it was 70 people total last time. 2 days to go and around 500 people made it so far. I've definitely been grinding harder this time to make it. Doing the multiple refreshes and draining the high value missions 3 times. I'm hoping to end in the top 300, we'll see how that goes. My Punisher is now 1/1/4.

    I'm not sure about the point from this time to last time but I do know I didn't play near as hard this time and I hit 50k awhile ago I haven't ground out ANY levels to no points hell I left so many points on the table from the last block I thought I might I burned myself last time I placed under 1000 last time with 49450 points so something different happened this time

    It is crazy how over 1100 people have got 50k this time...so far ... well over 1100 , rubberbanding is LAUNCHING people to the 50k. Nice that people getting rewards, but also a bit of a slap in the face to those who get 95%-100% of the points per refresh. I have done I'd guess 98% of the missions/points so far , yet I sit 1135th place.

    Just think about it as a game of leapfrog. They might use you to rubber band to 50k, but when you do your set of fights, you'll go back to your 'real' placement above them.

    There's no way these missions are the exact same points as last time since we're hitting 53.5K now with 2 days still left to go. I recall the points pretty much got stalled at around 46K range where you see it only go up by 1K per half a day during the last 2 days, and I really doubt there was nobody that actually grinded all of them. Remember all you need is one guy that's doing all the missions to get everyone up there due to the rubberband effect. In retrospect the missions for the final 3 days or so probably were giving too few points, since on average you need to pull more than 5K a day to even hit 50K, and I know the last 3 days or so the overall score leader was doing nowhere near 5K a day.

    What I've noticed over the last few days we all been moving back and forth in big waves 500 go up 500 go down switch and switch. I've seen a few names the same in my personal rank I didn't watch this closely last time but I know I didn't move around so much. I've been as low as 31 high as 2440ish last time I stay between 500-1600 I never left the top 1600 It just seems this event is playing different somehow. More/less people maybe it can't be playing harder I know I'm not doing that just something I been thinking on

    Whew!

    Finally got mine. There is probably one more refresh... So there was a lot more efficiency in the collective grinding this time.

    Just hit 50k. On one hand I'm happy that the mechanics allow players that don't have the ability to grind as much as others to still achieve pretty good rewards, but I would also like to see a bit more incentive to keep playing.

    Now let's all complain about the progression rewards tapping out too early. I mean, come on, some of us are probably gonna hit 60k! icon_twisted.gif

    I cannot say I really understand the scoring rules, but so long as the result is good - placing high in scoreboard harder than completing progression rewards - I'd say it's working well!

    My concern as well. I had been top 50 and the end of each round and never got lower than abt 1100 overnight. Now I am fluctuationing fown to 2400 range. Would suck if I missed top 300 and especially top 1500

    I think the main factor in reaching 50k and beyond this time is that now we are all aware that missions recharge every 8 hours instead of 12. That and the timing of the 1st recharge isn't in the middle of the night this time for most of us

    I'd say if you didn't get your punisher before this set ended, you're not getting 1500. Punisher required missions are worth too much.

    I just remembered one major difference... in the first Hulk tournament there were several Punisher-only missions that were missing from the early sub-missions (Greenland as an example I believe).

    When they finally appeared a few missions, like "The Big Ones" were bugged with low level villains (which helped somewhat with scoring, but certainly didn't make up for the missing missions). Between that and people knowing it was an 8 hour refresh that should make the difference.
