    Hahaha, I'm far from a regular top-end scorer. Using 6 shields in one PVP is far outside of my norm, and something I don't want to repeat. icon_razz.gif

    2088 beat my previous personal best by at least 400 points.

    Personal best is cool. Given that I don't shield, I hit 600 (briefly) which is among my better efforts, so well done to us both! That seems to be somewhere around the upper part of the magical line where you start to get the **** pummelled out of you.

    Yep, sounds about right for an unshielded transitional roster -- the last hour is especially brutal. There seems to be an invisible switch at 500ish and one at 700ish, each of which seriously up the whammy factor.

    I'm usually content to go to 1100+ unshielded and then turtle up for the remainder, but I wasn't going to miss out on T5 with Dino rewards on the line.
    I only did what I had to do, I did not go to 1752 by choice lol.

    Don't usually post but I wanted to thank you for my first race (kinda). This was also my personal best, I actually had you qued up a few times hoping to snipe you from my 2nd place but I kept forgetting you were locked in the node and kept skipping you looking for points lol. the last hour I was around 100 ahead of you but knew it wouldn't hold, I seriously contemplated buying health packs and going for another hop or 2, but tiredness took over, so thank god it held for t5,

    In any case, I'm with you. I don't ever want to have to do that again, but was def pretty fun!

    Got to 1324 and fifth place with about 2.5 hours left, went to bed, and woke up in sixth, which... could have been worse, I guess. I would have liked that extra cover.

    One thing this PVP proved to me was what I suspected, that getting to the top reward tiers was primarily a function of how much HP you're willing to spend. This was the most points I've gotten since the golden age of shielding, and it probably cost me about 500 hp between boosts and shields. I have no regrets about spending that much - it was definitely worth it for 4 usable 4*s (3 Dinos and an IW) and all the ISO and HP, but this is not something I want to make a habit out of.

    On the plus side, all I need is 1676 points split between the next two, or average 838 each. And if they're not offering Dinos (or someone else I need, which doesn't include Ragnarok), I'm not going to worry too much about placement. That sounds much more managable. My Dino is 1/1/3, I still have the three daily rewards coming in a few weeks, the 2400 progression prize, and hopefully a few more covers from tokens. Hopefully no more purple; the expected ones would bring him to 2/2/5 as is.

    I can't believe my score only got me 10th in that pic. That's what's nuts.
    Most of my push was just scoring High to guarantee 3k for season 10 pack. I did want top 10 but gave up with 90 min to go.
    That was a personal best for me and my Alliance single score. I think it cost me maybe 5 3 hour shields.

    Now the next one I'll get to 1300 and stop for that purple fury.

    I went to bed in the top 50 and woke up 156th (even shielded!). I went from 4* Dino to 2* Hawkeye, who I threw away on principle at that point. icon_e_smile.gif

    This was the fiercest competition for a PvP I've ever seen, even as a newbie.

    Even though it was nuts, I actually really enjoyed it. Obv I'd hate for it to be like that every time - but it was somewhat fitting for an anniversary celebration for everyone to go crazy like that.

    Felt a bit sorry for Lord Doom in my bracket who was comfortably 4th with a 200 point gap an hour or so before the end... and ended up 6th.

    I do want to say that everyone in my Top 6 deserves huge props for bringing it hard and not letting up to the very end. You certainly made this event interesting. Expensive too.

    Got my second best score ever, 1130, using two 3 hour shields.

    Given the events, I think the 3k goal is out of my reach unless they add a 4th PVP.

    I was right at 1600 in 4th with about 40 minutes to go when I went to put my kids to bed. 3 stories later and it was 9:56 and I fallen to 6th. One match for 45, still 6th. One more for 45 more, got the event over screen, but it shoots me back to the event page showing me on 1690 in 4th! Didn't mean to cut it that close, but made it pretty exciting. With all my token luck I'm now sitting on 1/5/3 devil dino. Where are all those green covers?

    Event was somewhat fun, although I finished just outside the Top 100.

    I guess putting in 2-3+ hours over the course of 2 days isn't enough to win a new character cover.

    That's insane. Never mind the 500 hero point someone might need to spend on a roster slot.

    It works out to 125 hp per usable 4* cover, so I'm not complaining. 4x75 hp shields, two refills of the rainbow boost (which is either 100 or 125 hp).

    I suspect I spent less on this than a lot of other people, too. Keep in mind, my reserves are still over 10k even after this (and buying a roster slot for Dino). 500 hp wouldn't buy me a roster slot at this point anyway (they're 650 now, I think).

    I thought I was pretty set in #2 a few hours out. Then I look back, and you and PorkBelly just vaulted over me for a #2-3 tie. Then it was on. This was the first (and hopefully last) time I shieldhopped twice in one hour.

    I was also chatting with OnesOwnGrief off and on, who found our hopping... discouraging. icon_lol.gif

    I couldnt believe what i was seeing, I was near 2000 but last hour was insane, and literally the one holding 1st first ended 6th, anyone could lose and there were 6 ready for top 5
    I wanted to let it go but everytime i was in a confortable position i saw everyone from 2nd to 5th unshielding and getting too close to my score
    All i wanted was to have all colours... ended 2nd with 1989 but considering all the madness i couldnt care less about the top 1 cover lol

    I don't usually run scores that high but I do want the Anniversary ten pack. I don't need any more Fury covers so you guys REALLY made it hard to find a cushy spot in the top 5.

    I dont like Fury much so it was all the same, we got lucky because the 6th (the one holding 1st for longer) was probably sleeping, otherwise it would have been more impossible

    I can do it but normally i'm happy with 1000 or 1100 if i need the cover (not so often)

    Its too insane, but i should have expected it, i mean:
    Deadpool at 1100
    IW 1300
    extra green Dino cover and chance at Fury?

    When do you see so many 4* in a single pvp? still pure madness and never again lol, will rest easily knowing i have to do very little to get the 10 pack now

    That's adorable. In the nastier brackets sone players spent nearly 2k HP on shields, boosts, and health packs. I clocked in around the 1500 mark I think.

    I hear ya. I was going to be happy with top 5, but by the time the last hour came along and the bracket was so close I just said **** it and decided to go for broke (which I very nearly did). I was incredibly lucky in that I did 3 hops of 3 matches each in the last 30 minutes and the only attacks on me were wins.

    Same. I want the progression and placement 10 packs and that's going to be pricy. Considering the high % chance of pulling a 4* (I've pulled 3 so far) it makes it a pretty good deal.

    Exactly. This event was designed to be a massive HP vampire. Top 5 gets 5 4* covers total. Winner gets 6. Just my luck I actually needed them all too.
