Simple, passive resistance. Don't participate in PVE until they make end times fair.

As a European user I feel your pain but this would lead to lots of people getting kicked from their alliances
  • I think I'll keep playing it because it's fun. Maybe you'd have more fun if you read a book or took up an instruments or gardening and you wouldn't feel so cross at MPQ PVE, which really never hurt anyone.

    or took up an instruments

This is a forum to discuss MPQ, and you are berating me for discussing MPQ on the MPQ forum, which is designed for discussing MPQ. See how the title is "Board index ‹ Marvel Puzzle Quest ‹ General Discussion"

Unlike books, or instruments or whatnot.

Doesn't seem like berating. Just reminding you that it's an imperfect game and we're all just trying to enjoy it for what it is.
  • The only way for this to work is to get the word out to everyone, and that is not going to happen, even if all of us here boycotted that would be maybe 1% of the playerbase.

A futile gesture if I have ever heard of one.

Lets face it, there is atleast 1 thread started about this nearly every week (especally around when the new characters are released.) It so far has not caused the devs to alter the times (though they said they are looking into it, and have been for a while).
  • I don't exactly get the gripe since this event actually has decent EU-friendly end times for subs and little to no RB on the last main sub, meaning everyone who has worked for placement will be able to keep close to it even missing the last hour frenzy. No this 'from top 10 to outside of top 150' nonsense. The last time this event ran, I left for sleep (some 3-4 refreshes here) at top 10 and was able to reclaim top 10 in the morning when I woke up, not without some mighty grinding, but I could have easily got top 20 otherwise.

Looks more like advice than berating to be honest.

Don't call us "1% of the playerbase". People in this forum are the most active and most passionate for the game. We are the ones that drive most of the polls in here and share the strongest opinions and guides. We are the core of the playerbase. Here is where the magic happens, so we have the first word about everything in this game. And our words should count more than any other's.

Comes across as a bit too entitled, IMO. We're not gods.

You never win anything by claiming you weak. We have to stand strong icon_e_biggrin.gif
  • A boycott of forumites of the events won't help fix PVE; it might even hurt. A boycott of spending money on the game, on the other hand, might give them more of a message.
  • Why stop there?!
I'm going to boycott PvE AND PvP!!

    ...one week later...

    Hey where'd my alliance go?

    Hey where'd my alliance go?

...and I'll be tinykitty'd if I didn't miss out on the 3 new characters released since I started this boycott
  • When guys like arktos claim that an event is P2W, proceed to buy a crapton of HP boosts and healthpacks because hey, it's cheaper than buying covers for 5000 HP despite the fact that the covers are not actually worth anywhere close to that, proceed to place top 2 despite not even needing the offered 4* covers and proceed to max a mediocre character from 4/13 to 13/13 covers immediately, yeah, don't think there's anything to worry about for the devs icon_razz.gif
  • I feel your pain and would like the PVE times to be more fair, but this won't do a thing to help your cause.
  • Been said before but going to throw it out there again.

    PVE
Starts with 3 nodes that correspond to different starting and ending times, clearly labeled. You get one choice. Pick the one you want and get bracketed with only people who picked the same one. Can someone tell me why this would be so hard to implement?

Changing backend architecture is always more difficult than you think. Supporting multiple end times would probably be significant work on Demiurge's end for no immediate gain. I don't think there's a mass crowd of Euro players that are just waiting around for events to be fixed before unloading their giant bags of cash.

There might be more easily implemented solutions though, like switching to a 24-hour window of possible end times instead of the 12 hour block we have now.
  • Hey! life is unfair, let boycott that as well.

    Speak for yourself.

But to the unfairness thing.....its not just end times. Why am I just about scaled out for having a good roster, none of which is allowed for this PVE?

Yes... everyone else in my Heroic bracket should boycott the game, at least until I win the event. Thank you.
