Since the base points are about 4.5K (I assume I'm at base point values since each node had a nice round number of points) even without RB 5K wasn't going to hold up unless you grind.

Yep, I 'lost' leads of 8-10k every time I slept due to people in other time zones being able to play. 5k would only be safe in a no-RB and non-repeatable scenario.

I wasn't hoping to hold the lead with just 5k and not playing but if they chip away at the lead with each pass, will a 5k cushion even be enough if I grind every 2.5 hours? It seems like it will be a battle of who has enough healthpacks to grind that one or two extra on each node at the end, regardless of the lead I have.

Total base points for the 7 nodes there is probably 32K non rubber banded points up for grabs. Now just have to work out how far back the rubber band kicks in - I can have a good guess and then I can work out when I can stop.

Healthpacks weren't an issue at all on first pass. The big point essentials are all goon-only, which are trivial to clear with OBW around. Venom's the hardest opponent, and he's easy enough if you deny black.

Yeah, I got through on 1 healthpack but I was taking Hawkeye, OBW and Psy into the Rags node because I was pretty beat up from the push before the end of the sub. If he went with his green over waiting for a CD timer power and I didn't get a speedshot in, I don't know if I would've won that one as easily. At the very least, it would've been a more unpredictable outcome because of cascades.

I should be ok since I know how to grind, it is just frustrating because nothing I did in any of the subs seems to matter and I'd like to go to sleep tonight...silly me!

Edit: Honestly, I'm just worried that luck is going to play a huge factor here with a bad board or a wipe because they keep gaining ground with each pass. It feels like if I don't have a full clear with each node down to 1 with 1min left, I might not stay in first - a place I've been since day 2.

orbitalint, I hear ya! I did the Ragnarok node with a weakened team too, and won with 13 HP left.

Has anyone else encountered a bug where the nodes disappear?

When the final main nodes opened up, I immediately did them all each once except the last Ragnarok node (waiting on healthpacks). At this point, all nodes on every branch are opened and present, and all the new nodes show an icon overlay except the Ragnarok one, which has no overlay on it because I haven't done it yet.

I then switched over to do the Fresh Cut pvp, and when I returned, many of the nodes have simply vanished, including the essentials. One of the nodes that I had done previously lost its icon overlay indicating that I had done it before.

I'm currently in #3 and was on track for a top 10 finish, but now this bug is preventing me from doing refreshes for the nodes, especially the essentials. I've closed the app and restarted, same thing. I switched from my iPad to my android phone, still the same.

If anyone has this bug and knows of a way to get the nodes back, it would be greatly appreciated.

redo Special equipment again and they open back up.

I was at 210th place (thought the sub ended an hour later ..... ugh....) and did a single clear of the nodes to jump back into top 150.

The two essentials were worth about 2,300 and 2,500 for me - so RB is probably fairly strong.
Earned a bit short of 20,000 points off a single pass through the nodes.

I'll play optimally from here and see where it gets me. Clearly no chance of top 20 so it doesn't really matter.

One clear had me at 5th (same as when the sub ended); I'm going to try to play these pretty close to optimally, except I'm going to skip the top 2, I think. Cleared them both once already; I may alternate them the rest of the day. I have 5k or so on #11; just trying for top ten, so I think I'll be able to hold.

I sank from 46th down to 136th and with a single pass managed to climb back to 89th. I can fit in just one more optimal pass at full points this evening and then a final grind-down sweep about an hour later.
It SUCKS playing this game on PC and from a bad timeslot. The past weekend, when I had equal opportunity to play compared to mobile players, I sat cemented in the top end of the freakin' top 10...

Hmm, nothing is coming back. I have already completed half the nodes (for no points) and the last set up nodes still haven't shown up. Sent D3P a report on the issue, we'll see if it's fixed in time.

Hmm, nothing is coming back. I have already completed half the nodes (for no points) and the last set up nodes still haven't shown up. Sent D3P a report on the issue, we'll see if it's fixed in time.

I restarted the app, then refought the node, so that might help. If not, I don't know what to tell you.

I remember that as well, which was why I worked so hard grinding at this stupid thing for a few days, so I could build up a buffer, and hold it with minimal stress on the last day... Now I wasted my time for a few days, when I could have been casual, and then full out grind now. Sigh. I hate when event rules change every time it is run.
