The Hulk Event, Unfarmable?!

I agree it's not a huge deal. The iso, free hulk and tokens were nice and the event seemed to run alot smoother than the hunt.

It's getting aliitle annoying hearing the 'haves' saying it's not a big deal to the 'have nots' however. If they missed out they'd betting complaining the loudest.

I'm typically the optimist but I just wanna point out to all the people who say "I got so & so ISO" or "the event gave me x amount of tokens" and this and that blah blah blah that they pretty much have to give you a reasonable sum. If they didn't give you enough to level a couple chars here and there then no one would ever play. You can't use hey they gave us some cool stuff as an excuse for something being messed up. Not mad at then or nothing. They try and do a pretty good job. Though your logic to me seems flawed.

The event was fun and all but right now I'm sitting a couple hundred short of Punisher and at about 1600th place. The part that's ticking me off though is that there were a few repeatable missions left for me to farm and even though I hadn't played them yet, they went from giving 100 ish a piece to giving out 0. It's not that I ran them to 0 they just decided to not give anything anymore and that seems really unfair. Especially since it's probably what's going to keep me from top 1500

And you know what? It kinda bites, but I've also made around 100k ISO and over 100 tokens from this, 2 Hulk covers (plus 2-3 more when it completes), and a decent bit of fun.

Not trying to defend anyone but I think what most are trying to say is that one progression reward should not ruin your entire enjoyment of the expereince that ran 10 days. It was long but I personally enjoyed the tweak (asumming I don't wake up 200 places lower) as its not about who held off last to play to leapfrog a weeks worth of play. As long as a last second refresh doesn't occur, I think most will land where they should have. Yes, I too will be a few pts short of 50k but it was always about the end game and the extra hulk covers you get and all the other freebies for the event.

Yeah but I thought dropping from 385 to less than 10k was a bit of a stretch for a worse case scenario so I said top 10k. I dont like to get too unrealistic with my hyperbole. 3 covers to 1 hulk. If it's worse than that you can find me in the fetal position under my kitchen table.
Don't even know on Bolivia. I think i got like 170 iso so 1800 ish I think. But got 350ish in the other one. Which got me a Wolverine of course

My main q is why keep this a secret. What do they gain? If people were planning on how to tackle the event thinking they'd have 12 hrs to farm, their plans all failed and now they are screwed. Nothing farmable. No sub events. This NEVER happened!

If I was a super casual user this wouldn't matter. Probably would barely have farmed close to enough, considering how much I had to play to get 49k. But I'm invested, so I played every hulk fight, farmed repeatables, and got to 49k thinking I'd farm a little more before bed with the last hulk maps. And so I get screwed, the invested user that keeps coming back.

It wouldn't have budged me by more than a point or two... I finished off all the missions; if they happen to refresh before I fall asleep than yay! but I don't expect it.

As I posted in the other thread I ended up 31 points shy of 50k, as the S&D missions dropped in value as I expected.

For me it is pretty discouraging just from the fact of not being able to count on just the basic way the tournaments are run in order to get to the top. Every other one the fight let you try and get and stay in a brscket but now it's like why bother to play them? I am truely amazed that they would cut us off like this.

Has any like IceX mentioned why they cut off?

I'm not saying anyone here is right or wrong about anything or even that the system used for this event was right or wrong but what is it with so many people making comments about rule changes? Haven't we all learned by now that any 'rules' that may or may not govern an event like this are not divulged to us? Does that not mean that we don't know the rules? If we don't know the rules how can we say they've been changed? How can anyone complain about not knowing the rules when it's clear none of us are meant to.

And honestly what do most people think is the way to go here? After the first heroic everyone complained about grinding (me included), after the second it was about rubber banding in general, after the first hunt it was the crazy leader board changes on the last day, now after the second hunt it's a lack of leader board changes on the last day.

Now to that last point some will say I don't care about the lack of leader changes I just want my red Punisher cover. But I think this line of thinking is flawed as well. Not every reward is meant to be obtained in a tourney. We could argue all day about how many people the devs wanted to reach 50k and all that but it doesn't matter. The people that got there did it, those like me who didn't miss out on ONE cover (I've never been able to get to a 1400 progression reward in pvp either). And yes it's definitely relevant to mention everything we did receive by playing this tournament.

I for one am very pleased with how this event went. A boatload of iso, my first black Hood from a standard token, and some really unique/challenging battles.

Yeah I would have liked to get 900 more points to get the last reward but I came in wanting a black hulk cover and it's looking like I'll be getting all three with little to no grinding required (I did go after some of those 500iso rewards).

Seriously my only complaint is there was nothing as awesome as Devil Dino involved

But I don't think it was unreasonable for people to expect that the last segment would be handled similarly to the entire preceding week.

I also missed them having hp rewards as the last event did. Wasn't much but 100 hp every 3 submissions was a nice little stipend that many ppl could enjoy. And yes, I would love to see more special "early cover previews" like devil dino (who i assume will come out at a later point most likely).

Yesterday fall asleep while playing half way.. Only wake up to find out the sub event has ended. Currently stuck at 49700pts.. Quite dissapointed unable to obtain first red punisher. I thought i could make it though...

This is completely bull. I was really trying to get top 1500 to get the Hulk issues, but now I'm completely screwed because I didn't farm 12 hours BEFORE the end of the event?!

I am another person that ended up just shy of 50K.

Making the final set of missions non-repeatable is essentially the same as ending it hours ahead of schedule. I am probably done putting money into this game after this fiasco... Just my two cents.

I am also a couple hundred points away from the 50K Punisher reward. It is quite weird that I am so close (a mission away) but cannot reach the cover, but I guess I will have to accept it if it finishes like that.

Nonetheless, will check back in about two hours and see if there is a final Refresh phase.

All in all, I think that this 10-day event was an improvement over the last two, especially with the placement rewards for Hulk etc, which is the MAIN focus of this event anyway, and not the 50k Punisher cover.

Which was my point really. If they just explained how things work then none of this would happen. No frustrated people cuz they would know what they are getting into. Instead people are left to guess, leaving the most frustrating possibility: being inches away from the goal and unable to achieve it. Just teasing the core fan base. To one person you'd have to not be thinking straight to not see what's going on. To another they just got screwed out of their goal. Just a frustrating place to put your players, and for what? What is gained?
