The Hulk Event, Unfarmable?!

So I'm 500pts away from 50k event points, and my red punisher.

I've completed all but 2 of the final missions twice, with 9 hours left I'm in the top 1500, and you're telling me I can't earn anymore points to reach 50k?

What is that? I can only farm the final missions for points twice, but sure feel free to farm for 500iso 8 or a standard claim ticket all you want?

What is that? I have nine hours left, and while this is a speculative post in the fact that I doubt you're planning on unlocking any additional missions to farm before the end all be all, so why can't I earn any points from these missions? I need Five Hundred, that's ALL the closest I can possibly get after defeating the 240 level super bosses is 250 away. Since I can only earn 154 points currently for defeating 240 Bosses, that alone has me scratching my head, but to top it off there are NO other missions to farm. Everything else provides me with zero points....I just need like 200 points guys come on already wow!?

I'm sorry I planned ahead poorly and missed out on the 200pts that I needed to finish, Maybe with NINE hours left I was under the IMPRESSION due to the rest of the event that I would be able to farm at least one to two missions for the final 900 points I needed. Even if I had to keep farming the mission for 8 and 9 points in the end.

But no, you're right, it's my fault for misunderstanding. Guess I really do need my money back because this just is not the product I paid for.

I'm ok with the idea that this isn't farmable. There are other events to play in now, so not a huuuge deal for me.

But I don't understand the business sense of it. If we want to waste health packs on fighting for a top rank here, I would assume it makes good business sense to let us? The prize output would be roughly the same if it was structured well, and more people would be playing longer, which has to be a win-win?

I don't understand it.

It makes perfect sense. Last event, people flipped their **** over the the huge shift in the leader boards in the last day. So, this event, they are letting the event wind down, instead of allowing a large amount of points to be ground up and upset the rankings a large amount. While it sucks that you are stuck short of the 50k reward (I'm in the same boat), I think this is the better way to end things.

Because of ONE Punisher cover? There have been two chances to get 3 covers just this week alone. I only.ground the first two days, and on Christmas. Other than that I just completed every mission a few times. Yesterday I didn't even complete a couple, and 50k was still easy.

While.I'd agree it would have been nice to know they weren't repeatable, the entire event was run superbly compared to the hunt. For tinykitties sake they gave EVERYONE a free hulk cover, and a ton of chances at tokens.

It'd have been nice if there was a warning on how the last set of mission is worth basically only 500 points so you better hit 49500 or so before the last sub-bracket ends. I'm sure a lot of people are sitting at or near 49K and figure they're set since they only need 1K in the last 12 hours only to find that they can't get that.

I agree that this is better than the last one, for sure. I don't need that red punisher, and I should still finish strong enough for the three hulk covers. However, if I fall out of top 1500, I may think differently...

Yep. I agree. Though I too will be 14 points shy of hitting 50k I would rather have this than a mad race at the end since this tourney ends at 3 am for me on the west coast. Im not too heart broken since my punisher is 2/3/3 and I have a shot at top 5 again in earths greatest tourney.

500 is not a lot of points, and places aren't going to flip flop at all.

I will say that unless you can point me to a link where the developers have previously mentioned that this was their intention all along than it's complete and utter ****. Any self respecting company will alert it's customer base to changes before implementing them. Now if I just need to troll these forums non-stop so that I know what to expect than so be it. However that being said, I've already submitted requests for refunds.

To rub a little salt in your wound, you will probably fall out of the top 1500 as well.

I missed out on 50k reward by a little under 1k points. This is MY fault, not D3's. I could of easily made these points and not relied on the last set of missions getting me to 50k.

It suuuuuuucks.

It's not just about the **** cover, it's the fact that we're powerless to do anything while so close to the goal.

I don't think I care as much about placing. I'm sure my current 150 standing will plummet to hell 9 hours later. But progression rewards are one of the last things one can play for without confusing **** that doesn't get explained in the rules and what not.

This is why it huuuurts.

It wasn't a change. No missions on the main hulk event have even been repeatable, let alone for points. There was only 12 hours left after the last sub missions. I didn't expect ANY points, and was pleasantly surprised with the bonus story

Yes the other main events were not repeatable but these ones were and all repeatable missions during this hulk event had a degrading point system.
I did the first one and then saw it was repeatable and because of the bug where it doesn't update to the correct points it looked like they still had points available, so I did them all.

I only found out later when I tried to redo them there was no points.

This was different to the rest of the hulk event so it was a change in my opinion

I'm disappointed that I won't reach 50k points, but this event gave me tons of ISO, tokens, 6 Punishers, 1 Hulk, 1 Doom & 1 Spider-Man covers. Can't complain about those pulls from free tokens.
