Made account just to post that I managed to beat this with 85 Thor/storm and 15 punisher.

It was actually really easy and I beat it in 3 turns. Started off with +3 all ap /+3 red, yellow/ +3 green. Made 2 red matches to get to 12 red AP and unleashed 2 red Thor attacks. Board was already heavy yellow so it flooded with a ton more yellow and I got a bunch of criticals. Unleashed Thor's yellow attack multiple times, flooding the board with green. That allows Storm to strike and recharge my red/yellow. It pretty much became an endless cycle and I finished off all 3 of them in that turn.

That was tough. I could not have done it without the tips in this thread. I mushed everyone's strategies together and won! The best part is i was going to miss the top 10,000 hulk cover by 14 points but once I beat this mission I have a 200 point cushion to snag my hulk. Thanks for the help!

I'm glad I just beat it, after not being able to beat it last time around. Used a team of Thor/Wolvie/Punisher. Had a really bad board with a lot of blues and environmentals. Started of matching greens and using Feral Claw as much as I can but was limited due to the number of reds on the board. Downed Ragnarok first, then AI got a lucky string matching green and reds. In one turn Juggernaut downed both Punisher and Thor and was able to slowly down both of them just using wolverine... finished venom last with Adamantium Slash. Thanks for all the tips!

I beat this mission by pure luck. 85 Thor. 46 punisher. And 85 wolvie. Only a dark avengers power up. Talk about luck. Whew glad that's over

Beat it with level 73 Wolvie, 64 Thor and 18 Punisher.
Great board all the way through. Denied them red and green all match and only lost Punisher to Rags only Thunderclap and Godlike Power. No headbutts from Jugs or stuns from Venom. Wolvie and Thor both finished at almost full health. Super lucky.
And for my prize I get the 3 Hammer boosts. Hardly seems fair

Just happy I got 500 ISO first time on this one. It wouldn't be worth trying to grind it out for it otherwise.

Also possible with magneto marvel now and cstorm.
Complete green/red attacks. They do AP regen attacks.
Match purple to make blue critting matches.
Stun rag/juggs with cstorm.

I just plain can't beat it. I only have a lv 15 Punisher, and my usual teams of Thor/Wolvie & Thor/Spidey with him are getting crushed. I'm sitting at #1106, hope I can hold on to the top 1500. Guess I'll quit and try the other event until the end of the night.

My MVP for this (which I'm not doing again, it's stressful) and the easier one with Moonstone spectating was Captain America, which was certainly unexpected. I mean, obviously Wolverine does the actual killing with the odd extra strike tile trigger from Molotov, but I'm taking 1500 match damage for granted by now. But buffed Cap has the HP to give Wolverine some recovery turns if needed, his red is nearly free extra strike tile ticks or a red match removed when two were open, he eventually has a fairly sustainable stun when you're getting tired, and if it really drags on his buffed yellow reduces Thunderclap damage to 1, which is hilarious.

If I had a viable Spiderman I'd have used him, obviously, but this might be worth considering for anyone else who doesn't and has a 50+ Cap gathering dust.

I used 56 Punisher 51 Spidey and 66 Wolverine. I have 5 Blue Spidey covers so I used all boosts and +3 Blue/Purple +3 Blk/Grn and basically stunned everyone and tried building up Blue until I got stunlock working to full effect. Then focused on Red and green adding strike tiles. I killed Rags then Juggs and then Venom. Rags and Juggs just do so much damage and cause so much cascading damage I always made sure they took stun priority. It really comes down to your board though, as I tried again and couldn't get a Blue to save my life. Which is annoying because I'm ranked a little over #1600.

Er, why aren't you usng Wolvie/Spidey?

If your Spidey has a high enough blue then that's the key -- you can stun lock at least one (or maybe two) of the villains and kill the 3rd, then kill the others. Punisher really isn't used except to take a headbutt if Juggernaut gets one off (and you can move him in the way).

I wonder...has anyone tried a Spidey/Captain/Punisher team, and just used all of the defensive powers to overpower?

If you don't have a spidey with good covers (like me) a good second option is OBW with a good level/high black covers and Wolverine. Every match of hers is doubled basically.

You wouldn't really ever get to CA's yellow if you played properly and his blue is obviously never going to be used.

As an internal challenge, I'm curious, who did it with the least-powered team? I did it with Thor 85, Wolverine 73, Punisher 25, with boosts (all-6, red/yellow, green/black). That's an aggregate level of 183, 7 stars. What's everyone else's record?

I did it last time around with 61 wolvie, 15 punisher and 18 black widow with +3 all ap and +3 blue/purp and +20% dmg dark avengers.
I focused Rag > venom > jugg since as I was focusing the red/green (getting one blue match if no reds are present) venom got 12 black. Had to stun and focus him down second.
Probably the best way to do it if you don't have other good characters with utility. And black widow is the easiest to obtain

My team was very similar to radiopys. I went with my best team, which is a 5/3/4 Wolverine at level 77, 5/5/3 Thor at level 73 (I had JUST gotten the 5th red cover before doing that battle (from a std token no less), and without it, I wouldn't have won. Great luck!), and a 0/0/2 Punisher at level 25. I used the same boosts as you did and won it on my first try.

My board broke pretty well, but it had a ton of red, which scared me a lot. I made 2 matches to take me to 12 red and clear them away from Jugg. Then I Feral'd twice and luckily most of them ended up being on the margins, so they never got cleared by Rags and 3 of them stayed pretty much the whole game. I took down Jugg first, then Venom, and finally Rags, mostly playing defense. As mentioned above, the level 5 Mjolnar was amazing for me, especially with all the boosted strike tiles on the board.

So, everyone was alive with Rags left and I was getting a little cocky. I played the same way, but quickly was down to just Thor (Punisher lasted 2 turns once Wolverine went down, but did help block a red match). I ended up with Thor and Rags at about the same amount of hit points left (2800), and was eventually able to win my most difficult fight yet. Good times!

Going to try this crazy mission in a bit, but don't know what time I shoushould use.

Have a max thor, 77 spidey, and 77 wolvie.

I'm thinking wolvie/spidey for strike tiles and stun, but could als see wolvie/thor for damage and strike tiles. Guess it depends on how lucky a board you get lol
