    1. When are the extra useful perks of being in an Alliance going to start showing up?

    What qualifies as useful?
From my alliance I get ~1400 iso8.png a week just for daily play (not a ton, but still most of a 166 level a week for nothing), up to 5k iso8.png and 100 imcoin.png per PvP (if we finish top 10, which we've been doing lately), on top of the extra covers.

So if we do very well as an alliance, per week just with PvP from the alliance I'm bringing in up to 16,400 iso8.png , 300 imcoin.png and 3 extra covers (which are lately another 1500 iso8.png ).

That doesn't even take into account PvE, which can often be very helpful in picking up an extra (or for some of us, only) cover of a new character.

    Pretty useful for me. YMMV.
  • My questions:

    1. Can we expect any time soon to have an alliance name listed underneath a players name in PvP?

Seems like a very small thing, but it would be quite helpful for many of us.

    2. I miss some of the old environmental abilities. Any chance these could be added as a Team-Up you could win when you fight in those environments?

They'd obviously need to be recosted and a couple would be overpowered, but just leave those out. There were some interesting abilities that with a bit of tweaking could be rather interesting to see thrown into the mix.

    2. Is there any way to purchase being sandboxed? (For those who would rather be in the sandbox, supporting your development/salaries through purchases, and not getting sandboxed by cheating.)
That's not a bad idea, imagine a monthly fee to NOT get attacked in PvP and get 1st place rewards without affecting everyone else. Unfortunately, it'd probably be $30/month so that they can get ever closer to their $1/day per player goal

    Pretty useful for me. YMMV.

Perhaps I should have said more interesting. There were hints of the Alliances being more than just a little extra loot.

David, I have no doubt that the majority of the questions asked in this thread will be answered by you, but I was hoping you might be able to give us all an ETA of your answers. In no way am I being rude, I'd just really like to read your responses. Thank you!

    From the first post:

"We are now soliciting questions for our first monthly Q&A Session between the community and the MPQ development team (Demiurge & D3).

Over the next two weeks, give us your questions for the Marvel Puzzle Quest team in the comment thread below. We'll then select a number of choice inquires and send them to the devs for a response.

We hope to post the answers to your insightful questions on or around October 17th, 2014.

*Any legitimate question is fair game, but keeping your question clear and concise will help. It's much easier to grasp the intent of a sentence or two.

    * Let's keep this to one or two questions each so we can manage things easily. This will be a monthly Q&A and you can submit further inquiries next time.

*Please submit your question for this Q&A by October 2nd, 2014.

Thanks in advance for participating in the discussion! Now, ask away.."

I'll be collecting questions here for a few more days and submitting a batch to the devs and our producer. It's pretty unlikely that I'll be answering any myself as I'm not a developer or a producer. If you have any questions about The Clash or maybe obscure 1970s TV shows, I may be able to answer a question or two. icon_e_wink.gif

Having been accidentally purged along with mass spammers/inactives, and lost all my posts, I'm going to repost my questions here, even though I'm sure they've been asked 50 times over by now!

    1) Are there any plans for more PvE events that are solely PvE? Apart from a few grumblers, I think the Gauntlet PvE was a success in terms of literally being against the environment, and not worrying about a 'last hour' rush, against other players. Would be great to have some more PvEs of a similar nature.

    2) ... actually, I honestly can't remember the second question. Vital, obviously.

What was that show with a group of agents who had cool surveillance gear and a bunch of backroom boys led by Burgess Meredith?

I am in an Alliance of 1 member - myself. From a season perspective, for the points I make, I do ok enough. I usually do well in PvE, but that's not enough.

Sure, I can't scheme with my alliance mates about shieldhopping over each other but an alliance is an alliance, regardless of the size.

The reality is that I am never going to get anything decent, yet I put a lot of time into this game.

People like me who have legitimately chosen to be in a small alliance will never get good prizes and the same people in the same alliances keep getting the good stuff.

Can you introduce a handicap system so that maybe one day I can get some bonus HP or a 4* Fury or something?

This opportunity is very important for us all who want your game to be the best game it can be so PLEASE answer my questions along with as many of the other players questions as well. Here are some questions for you to answer and I thank you in advance for responding to these questions icon_e_smile.gif
Could you expand your population and bring back players that have quit by:
    1. Adding casual or remixed modes that are fun to play and have 3 or 4 Star rewards that are NOT PVP?
    2. Give all players a fair playing field by either balancing some of the OVER/UNDERPOWERED characters or give each player some hope that they can earn 3 and 4 star covers?
    3. Expand the rewards for ALL alliances but especially the ALLIANCES RANKED over 100 as there are more than 20000 Alliances that fall there that are struggling harder every season and need more rewards and reason to stay?
    4. Decrease competitiveness somewhat or slow down the pace of these Seasons and concentrate on more adding more fun character powers like "Fastball Special"?
    5. I may add more later but this is what we could use answers for from you to feel like spending time and money in this game.

We want you to make the best experience possible to bring balance back to the game and get everyone to have fun playing this game again. Looking forward to your responses and thanks again in advance!

My question are a lot simpler.

    1) What do you like best about playing MPQ so far?

    2) Who is your favorite character on your current roster?

If you are asking me this question, I'd mention that it's still fairly early days and that I haven't sunk any cash in. That said, I really enjoy the PvE content, those first few PvP battles that I actually win before getting my hindquarters handed to me, and clicking unlocks and actually getting something good.

The best guy/favorite in my roster so far is Human Torch (Classic). He's my only 3-star. Also, he's covered in flames and roasts a mean marshmallow.
  • Off-topic, but I find it awesome that you started from the beginning, instead of asking the devs for a complete roster of maxed characters and unlimited iso and HP.

You could do a regular post about your progress or something, like a pseudo-blog. Just a thought. Would surely be a entertaining read.

Will day 365 of the daily rewards be special?

    - For the characters that are made playable, are they chosen by the development team, or are they mandated by Marvel, or both? If they are chosen by the development team, have there been any characters or versions of characters that Marvel refused to give permission to implement (if you're allowed to say)? Were there any characters that are particular favourites of you guys' that you had to beg Marvel to implement?
    - Same question as above with the covers used for each character
    - Apparently, Marvel is extremely particular about how some of their characters look in licensed videogames. For example, the developers of Marvel vs Capcom 3 received extensive diagrams showing Dr Strange's hand gestures that he used to perform particular spells in order to make him look perfect. Any stories like this in the development of MPQ?
  • 1. When balancing events, what types of considerations are taken into account when it comes to setting the level of
    A. Node scaling?
    B. Rubberbanding?
    C. Sharding (Bracketing)?

    2. For dealing with time-zone fairness, what types of solutions have been proposed or are being considered?

    3. Are any solutions being considered for excessive alliance switching used to game the system at the top levels?

    4. What % of players are in the
    A. 1* zone
    B. 1* max - 2* zone
    C. 2* max - 3* zone
    D. 3* max+ zone?
