Hi Everyone –
There is a hold up in the approval process for the planned R60 patch update (details of patch shared in the 8/29 forums post by IceIX) and we hope to share an update soon. All hands are on deck to push the release out as soon as it’s approved by all parties. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
Thank you,
MPQ Team

I'm assuming this means not until next week? The "all hands on deck" is kinda making me think it could still be tonight or on the weekend. Could such a thing be possible? Will worlds collide? I'm scared...0

Thanks for the update!
Gives me more time to spend with Mags before he is neutered...0 -
I read: you get to use cmags for a precious few more days before the fun police come and turn him into a completely different character with different flavor, synergy, and roles.
So... thanks I guess?0 -
Really? I read it to indicate that we could still very well be receiving the update this evening.
At this point, I actually hope they hold off until tomorrow. We are getting too close to too many end times for update to land.0 -
What was the stealth update that went through today? It wasn't the patch, but the game-load thing it sometimes does. I couldn't find any changes.0

Well right, I don't think they'd push an update an hour and a half before a PVP close, and I've never seen one go out on a weekend.0 -
The PvP for Beasts didn't appear until that update went out. By the time I saw it, it started in 6 minutes.0

The stealth update was the loading of the Beast Versus event, "Real McCoy".
My interpretation of the announcement is that one of the vendors rejected the patch update, and everyone is burning the midnight oil tonight to correct whatever issue that is.
So, yeah.... I would say that the R60 patch could be in a few minutes, a few hours, or a few days. That said, I would hedge my bets on a few minutes/hours being the correct answer here.0 -
I'm guessing it's not going to be tonight (US time).
I would now think tomorrow or early next week.0 -
Imagine if one of the Marvel Execs kyboshed one(or more!!) of the character changes? Holy crow that would be a serious delay...0

Communications that provide more questions than they answer. That's the mpq promise;)0

People want communication. They provided it. What else do you want?
This is most likely what was speculated, that Apple's taking its sweet time approving the update.
Do they know when it will get pushed through? No. I know that's people want, but trying to predict something like that does more harm then good, because then people whine "you said this but reality ended up being slightly different!"0 -
Update after the Doom PvP is over would actually work out pretty well in terms of not being next to any major event.0

Perhaps I was not clear.
= wink
Wink = joking around
Joking around = not being serious
Not being serious = me

On a side note, this has been a stuff up from their end from one perspective.
When you say emphatically that something will be done by a certain date and days later, you come in with a few hours to go of your self-imposed deadline (by which time it is obvious to almost everyone it's not happening) and say, "actually, it's not ready", that's kinda poor form. They really didn't know 1, 2 or 3 days ago it might not happen and then provide an update of such a possibility?
Sure stuff happens, just a computer game, nothing world changing, makes no difference to me in anyway, etc. but it's not a great look for the company.0 -

I think you may have accidentally misread the original announcement. It stated due to waiting for first party approval they did not have a firm eta, but they anticipated it being fine by 9/5.

Yeah, that's a fair point - I did not reread the statement since soon after it was posted. I withdraw the use of emphatically from my original statement. My reading of that is still they were anticipating to do it at least a few days ago and the 5th was still giving themselves leeway. Not to worry.0 -

It's not you fault. They chose to post things that day and went ballistic. I'm still going back to the c mags one trying to figure out his best new build.0
