I believe this is TWO separate mechanics or you are saying you cannot send a team up out, unless you own that character with that particular ability.
The idea of people sending alliance members level 166 cover 5 SuperNova Team ups or Magnetic Translocations or Human Torch flame jets or pick the most powerful one seems unbalanced. Especially, if they have it for an AI fight.
I guess it could affect demographics of hard core alliance character build selection. You have to build a certain character up, so you can loan team ups out when you go to sleep type of thing. LOL
  • I thought that the on patrol referred to TU covers...?

Seriously, if Characters On Patrol refers to team ups, then they should have used Team Ups on Patrol, used proper listing, or stated somewhere that abilities sent will become On Patrol. Their language is becoming consistently inconsistent.

    and it's R59, not 58 icon_e_smile.gif
  • Do I understand correctly that when you send team-up to alliance mate you not lose it forever, so even if he USES IT IN BATTLE, you get it back later and can use/send it again?

The "Team-Up Edition" is live. Discuss.

First person to find stealth update wins. Doesn't seem to be anything too massive (unforseen at first glance). Overhaul of some main graphics.
  • To someone who has it - can you check to see if anyone new has been added to tokens? Specifically looking for She-Hulk, Captain Marvel, Deadpool, and Nick Fury on the heroics page.

    No token update. Sorry.

My semi-thought is they are juggling the % values of adding all the new characters and how much they have to reduce the % of the 2*'s.

Also too soon for Fury and just a little early for DP, I would imagine. Can't see reason why at least She-Hulk and maybe Marvel can't be there already - maybe they want to milk it a tiny bit longer still.

Milk what exactly? They're not included anywhere (except perhaps standards?), surely adding them to the mix would up token sales?
  • I had talked with Demiurge Will on one of the other threads about it, and he said that one of the problems they're facing is that odds have gotten so low on a lot of the 3*s in the tokens that they were reluctant to lower them further. I sent him a big list of options for that (just stuff I could think of, much of which has been mentioned here), but emphasized that the best thing they could do would be try to engage with the players on it, and figure out what would make everybody the happiest.
  • We can trash teamups finally! Hooray!

The easiest way is to split the cards into seperate packs. You could have a good guy/bad guy pack. When you get a token you can elect to pick the good guy pack or the bad guy pack, although we are rather skewed on good guys. You could just randomly assign characters to pack, either way, segregate them. So lets say for arguements sake we did good guy/bad guy. When I get a Heroic Token, I can either elect to spend it on the Good guys pack or the Bad guys pack, much like a Pvp event token is specific to a certain character allotement, we can do the same for that. It would be a simple fix, and could allow players to chase the cards they need.
  • Also you can ask for teamups from your alliance members then they can send 5. Weird.

This is kinda weird, getting an update when it's not the last 3 hours of a 9 day event...

Interesting and pretty much what I suspected. They can't lower the odds any further and they won't want many more 3* cover tokens out in the wild but without reducing the % value of the 2* characters much, they are stuck.

It's a catch 22 for them and the issue is actually broader in that since the 2* characters are now (almost too) easy to build (compared to a few months ago), their perceived value has decreased significantly in tokenville and so you have to start doing more radical stuff, eg. get rid of Bagman. Their two "easiest" options are to slash the 2* character percentages or retire another 2* character from tokens.

Either way, the problem is only going to get worse and a new cover distribution model will be needed at some future stage. Which then leads into other discussions about characters and star rankings and so on...
  • It is live on Android as well.

Not really... they just need to split them into separate packs.
