How long did it take for your first maxed 3*?

    My first fully covered character was the Punisher ( ▼皿▼)o┳*☆･･･-(x x)ｳｷﾞｬ
    If my memory serves me correctly, it took 3 months and i maxed him probably within the next month.

    After that, i wandered the great transition desert for another two months until i got my next fully covered: Psylocke (still not maxed).
    Well actually maybe it would be more appropriate to call it farm field rather than desert because after that i have been able to get five 3* characters fully covered (including HT from the current pVp and might continue the streak with GSBW depending on the progression reward in the next pVp) and have about 4 characters with 11-12 covers. [also keep in mind that fully covered doesn't mean ideal build. guess that means i still have things to do haha!]

    i didn't buy any covers as i figured someday i would end up either winning them or getting lucky with tokens (although it can be argued that i "bought" my pink DP cover considering the amount of HP i *ahem* invested in those wonderful shields during the last Catergory 5 pVp but i like to think i payed for the overall crazy experience of shield hopping to infinity and beyond. you should try it. just once though. just once *-*) hehe

    Now the problem is ISO. When you are a boost junkie like me, the stuff can be hard to come by. However, if all goes well i should have two more maxed characters by the end of the month, depending mostly on what pVe comes through this month and if i can bear to put myself through LRs (for some reason i don't find them very fun. prolly the lack of enticing carrot, eh doc?)

    anywhoo tldr: f4d got his first fully covered character three months in, first maxed character (same character) the next month and now at 192 days (and counting) has a total of seven fully covered 3* characters (and still only one fully maxed character). the end.

    Day 234 - Thanks to the Deadpool vs MPQ rewards, icon_punisher.png became my first fully covered and maxed 3*.

    I would have voted for an option "About a Month", but 1-3 was the best fit I guess. Maybe 6 weeks.

    It felt like the iso8.png grind took half as long as getting the covers took. That first max is a ****.

    7+ months, still no maxed 3* chars. All my heroic 10pack season rewards just give 2* covers. If only I had about $5000 to throw away on HP maybe I could be allowed to have a competitive roster.

    Well no maxed, but now coming to the point where I am selling 3* covers cus that colour is full..*sigh*

    Since this got necro'd anyway, I'm now up to 3 that are cover maxed (Psylocke, Torch, Thor). Patch is at 12 and will get there 80 days from now w/ Daily rewards if nothing else. I have enough Iso to take one to 166 if I wanted to, so that's close enough. Final tally is roughly 7 months for me.

    Not sure. I just know it was punisher. Then BP and Thor came along. then again, we used to have tournaments where 2* characters were a top prize. AND YOU FOUGHT HARD FOR MOONSTONE. she was new!

    Now Punisher is almost completely useless.

    Always preferred leveling everyone evenly back in the day back when Thor/Wolverine could carry you. Then I started using Spidey/Wolverine.

    Man, Spidey was SO broken. I used to eat Rags teams.

    Necro bump....

    Well, I finally gone and done did get it done icon_e_biggrin.gif . I first started playing MPQ in the first week of April, 2014. (do not remember exact date since I skipped a lot of days in the beginning, so I can't go by # of days played, which is at 322).

    So, this morning, it finally happened. My bouncing baby boy, 3* Steve Rogers, has finally become a full grown man. My first level 166. And it only took me about 10 months.

    **sniffles as a tear roles down my cheek** They grow up so fast, don't they?

    First 166: 7 and a half months.
    First 13-cover 3*: Considerably earlier. Three months?

    I have a F2P account that just cleared 2 166's a week or so ago. That account is on day 121 today.

    I have a paying account that had maxed 3 star's just a couple months in - once I got a full round of covers on one I'd buy them out.

    I got mine right around the three-month mark, but I got two that day plus a 166 XF. I try to balance PvP and PvE, so I didn't want just one to throw off the scaling for PvE. During the anniversary sale (October, I think?), I bought up most of the covers I needed for the characters I had one color for (CMags and LThor) as well as enough XF covers that the free ones in the 145-175 day resupply range would get him to 5/5/3.

    On day 115 and my highest covered in Mohawk Storm with 9.
    Next highest are Hulk & Gamora w/5 each.

    I haven't put much ISO into her though since she is near the bottom of the character rankings for 3*s.

    I was rather too liberal with buying HP initially, and when I started was when Ragnorak was in his prime (2 red AP massacre mode) & an irresistable target.
    Though he did give me a huge leg-up in covering the old 3* characters, certainly wouldn't ever recommend that timescale!

    I'm on day 461, and I just maxed my first 3 * about six weeks ago (Mr. Patch.) 3* Daken followed about a week later. I tend to be very parsimonious with my ISO-8 so I haven't leveled too many of my characters. Some of them I like a lot, but don't really see a need for maxing them - Falcon for example. I think he is quite useful and fun to use, but nobody is afraid of falcon in PvP, so does it really matter if he's 151 (his current level) or 166? Same with Psylocke (150 currently) and Punisher (161) ,and Spiderman (161). There's also the soft-maxed group that I only use during their specific tournament - keeping Human Torch at 94 means that when buffed he's 140 or 141, and together with Patch and Daken the true healers tank all of his colors. I think I've had more defensive wins with 166 Patch / 141 Torch / 166 Lazy Daken than any other team.

    I also have some characters I would probably max, but they have stupid builds - my 5/3/5 Lazy Thor and 5/5/3 Black Panther, for example. Currently the only characters in my roster with an ISO-8 PICC line in place, and just waiting on covers, are Blade and Luke Cage, as they're the two I'm the most eager to max and experiment with. I think A Blade/Luke Cage/Falcon team sounds like an awful lot of fun to play around with.

    Relevant to the above post, I like to keep my heroes at 111, so boosted in PvP they are 167, until they are ready to level to 140, and then 153 or 166 after that.

    While there may not be much difference between a 160 and 166 I like to max them out for their feature events. A 150 vs 166 Falcon might not scare anyone but a 249 v a 225 might.

    I'm on day 340. I don't remember who my first cover max was (I want to say Spidey, but not positive), but my first 166 was Thor, a few months ago.

    Going into his last PvP before his vaulting, I had him at 2/4/5, and a top 25 finish would have allowed me to cover max him. Unfortunately, I fell a bit short and only got the red cover, so I broke down and bought my first (and only) individual cover to max him. I only bought the last cover because it was yellow--had it been red or green I needed, I would have happily run him at 153 until he came out of the vault.

    Welp. Today (Day 136) was the day I got my 1st cover-maxed 3*

    I have the ISO right now to push her to max, but it's MoStorm, so nope. At this rate, Spidey or Blade might be next. Tokens have been kind to me today. 6 golds so far

    I'm nearly 4 months in and I don't have anywhere close to anyone fully covered. My highest covered character is Punisher at 6, with a whole bunch at 2-5 covers. I just joined a good alliance tho, so I feel like it's going to speed up considerably when you combine it with the daily PvE mission for the featured character. Since we haven't seen the new event (hopefully this week!), I can't say just how fast it will be, but it's still exciting to think about. 30 guaranteed 3 star.png covers per month with all the tokens you get now makes for some good potential to make progress now. Hopefully in the next 2 months I'll be able to come back here and post about my first fully covered 3 star.png !

    It must be very different now than it used to be - either that or I'm not doing it right icon_e_smile.gif. Granted I'm only 80 days in but my *** guys are pretty useless unless buffed for a pve event. Daredevil is at 2/2/1 (started playing around Thanksgiving, so he's had 2 events during that time), 4 have 3 covers and 16 with either 1 or 2 covers. I do have useful ** group: Thor and Daken at 94, Ares and OBW at 86, and bringing up StormNeto and Hawk together (up to 75 now). I do very well with pve (usually finish 25-100, depending on how busy I am and how the slice goes), so I get at least one a week there but most of those are new anyway, so I have to scrounge for hp or break down and buy a chunk (done that twice) for roster slots (up to 37 now). I just don't see getting my ***s usefull any time soon but first things first - need to finish leveling/covering my **s. It's kind of deflating to see a quarter of the responses were there about where I am in the game (time-wise).
