It seems silly that there isn't at least a non-zero minimum score a level can be worth. It's one thing to give an advantage to people who don't play as much, but it's another thing entirely for those of us playing regularly to not even have the illusion of a fighting chance at making top 50.

I've hit top 15 of my bracket several times throughout the event, the last time being about 7 hours ago. Now with the way things are going I'll be lucky to stay in the top 100 and get the last Wolverine color I can use. Super lame. I should have slept in.

There's no good reasoning. They are guessing at this and guessed wrong. No way this was intended and without an actual test run of a system like this you can't expect any better.

I don't think I've ever played a game where i felt compelled to demand compensation based on poor tuning/implementation, but given the time/money invested and the absurdity of the results... This is pretty close.

I've tried to make sense of this, but when I see the person at #1 STILL gaining points I don't know what to think, such a bad system on an event that spanned so long.

This is stupid... I am pissed. They better give all of us at least 1 punisher card... Actually they should give everyone in the top 600 or something all three and 600 and above one or something. This really pisses me off. We can't compete she. We don't have any points to get and others are getting 1000 for one battle.

Grinded to 1ST place and couldn't earn any more points. Now they are beating me one by one

This is so upsetting, too many days of grinding this just to have the end run be a situation where you watch yourself drop out of any hope of finishing well. Just sitting here watching my ranking drop while I cannot do anything about it is more frustrating than I can say. 9 days is a long time to invest to have the end be helpless drop out of the rewards that you have been spending too much time grinding.

Dropped out of top 50 in the last 5 minutes, after an hour of helplessly watching my rank plummet..
I don't even need Wolvie covers... Just an extra insult...
What a terribly disappointing end to nine days of anticipation...

Totally agree. I spent actual money today supporting this game, buying health packs, in the hopes of what I thought would be securing A FEW Punisher covers. I ended up at SIXTY. ONE.

WITH NO PUNISHER COVERS.

I support and legitimately love this game and just get kicked in the teeth by it. I'm in shock. I actually understand now when gamers go on the internet to whine.

Never happened to me before but boy do I get it now.

I've held the lead off and on in my tournament and been consistently in the top 50 for most of the time. Now I too have zero missions that are giving points. I've put in over ten hours at least in this tournament trying to make sure I place top three and now I'm out of the top 50 and can do nothing about it.
I really didn't having a system that punished you for doing well but I put up with it, until this. Having put so much time into this and knowing that I'll have nothing I need to show for it is more than maddening.
On top of this, there were other small tournaments during this time that had prizes I wanted and could have won but I chose not to join in, thinking it'd be better to focus on this one. I wish I'd have known how it would screw you up in the end.

Similar situation -- I went from 1st two hours ago to 20th with a minute to go, less than 25 points out of 15th, with all missions giving 0 points for all that time. While 0/1/1 and 0/0/1 Punisher aren't all that different in usability, I'm not impressed with the fade-to-0 point system. There's a distinct line between discouraging "grinders win everything" and "grinding wins nothing, playing last wins everything."

Random punisher token to everyone as an apology is the least they can do + savvy on their part if they open a punisher only cover roll at the same time. Doesnt fix the fact that the Event style is still obnoxious as hell and should never be replicated.

if puzzles and dragons did something this inept they'd give away the equivalent of 1000-2000 Hp.

I managed to barely get a spot in the top 15 only after I realized that one of my repeatables was still giving 40 til I milked that to 0. I later find that 3-4 of the main mission (that hasn't refreshed once since day one) have refreshed and are giving out 50+ per mission. But I found that out with 2 minutes left so I was only able to do one. What the heck? You never refresh it at all but then, with no announcement, open up 150+ points?

I'm not sure what's wrong with your brackets people. But across the ten days I've been able to earn points to place myself within the top 3 for the main event by the time I complete one set of 3 sub-missions. With the last set of 3 sub-missions, I ended up top 3 after finishing Alaska, after finishing Florida and after finishing the last place (whatever it's called). So as expected, I ended the tourney in 2nd place or so.

Maybe you guys weren't as consistent?

I'll break the circlejerk here, but it was very very obvious that repeatables went down to zero. It was also very obvious that running through all of your repeatables early was a very bad idea. In 10 days, we all had plenty of opportunity to learn the best tactics, given the situation. The people at the top of your bracket understood that and played accordingly.

I don't think the rubberbanding was very good this tournament, and there is a lot to improve with it. But, you play with the cards that are dealt, and you likely played them poorly if you were 1st with 6 hours left (or whatever) with your repeatables exhausted.

I just wanted to say that although I generally like this game...... I had a BIG ISSUE with the Hunt - especially the end of the event.....
For one, 9 days is way too long....
The other big issue I had was that for 8 days I was in the top 10 and top 5 very consistently BUT for the last 6 hours of the event, I could score almost no points at all and ended up out of the top 50....... how is that fair?
When it was over, I had 1 mission that gave any points at all and it gave 4.......... THAT REALLY STINKS!
The rubberbanding should definately go away and it should be a SET point value for the missions....... Again, it just really stinks to watch over a week of work evaporate and end up with virtually nothing to show for it even though I was at the top for about 90% of the event.........
