OFFICIAL Team-up Powers list

Here's a list of everything that might be a Team-up power. I'd like people to compile three lists: 1. Powers that should cost more in Team-up. 2. Powers that should cost less in Team-up. 3. Powers that are not appropriate as Team-Up powers. For example .... World Rupture too cheap, Murderous Aim too expensive, Best There Is not appropriate. I'd like to boil this down to a suggested list of Good Team-Up powers with appropriate costs. The characters themselves would not have their costs changed, these would purely be suggested cost changes for the Team-Ups.

Missing characters are Human Torch (Johnny Storm), Thor (Modern), and Storm (Mohawk). Both representations of Gold characters Daken and Capt America are given.
Force Field Crush is in the list and inappropriate.
Force Bubbles is missing, but could be useful.
Redwing was given out despite not being on the official list.

Below I've added AP costs to the list of IceIX. Here are Team-ups Sorted by AP cost. And here are Team-ups Sorted by Power name. If there is a number after the name, the AP costs vary. In the places I have DELETE, I think these cover levels should be deleted as kindness to the players, since the different levels mainly change AP costs, and it's unfair to expect players to keep track of 5 different AP costs for a particular power.

Obviously passives are out. Self damage abilities (sunder/headbutt) should be out, Powers using other colors or dependent on # of AP should be out, eg. ballistic salvo, unibeam, onslaught, smash, lightning storm, flame jet, inferno out
Force field crush is worthless as a teamup.

Compiling this list, a few ideas came to me.

Powers that vary widely in AP cost or with effect are not appropriate, since it's not fair to force players to research a particular weird power for a random skill.
The AP cost should be right on the icon. The Max Damage (when appropriate) should appear in another corner.
Team-Up powers should be sorted by AP cost.

Eh, why complicate things more than they have to be? World Rupture is too strong, period. Murderous aim is too weak, period. We don't need separate versions of the skills. Fix the actual skill and the TU should work itself out.

Powers that only really work well with multiple uses or with specific synergies with other powers of that character are just awful as team-ups. That includes web-tile -based powers (for example, Devour may still be strong on its own, but it feels bad without Symbiote Snare; its team-up version should probably have a damage boost and have the insta-kill component removed), things like Murderous Aim (which wants to be spammed to create enough crit tiles for its damage component -- and can be when it costs Black AP due to OBW and Hood, but really can't be when it costs TU-AP) or Magnetized Projectile (which is spammable at 2 AP but rather a waste of a team-up slot as a single use ability), etc.

I'd really much rather that each old character and new ones from here on out have a particular team-up power which might or might not be identical to one of their existing powers. For example, since neither of Venom's current powers are fully functional on their own (Devour wants web tiles, and Symbiote Snare's web tile creation looks nonsensical on its own), it'd be much cooler if he had a separate team-up power -- not strictly better or worse than either of his frontline powers, just different. Simple sample..."Symbiote Snare: [6 Purple AP] Venom stuns the target for one turn. If there are more than <rank-dependent number> purple tiles on the board, instead he stuns the entire enemy team."

Murderous aim isn't necessarily weak when it comes from a level 144 Bullseye in PVE. I think it did 6000+ damage.

I agree entirely, but tweaking costs in Team-Up has a smaller effect than changing the characters. Making the Team Up cost for Switcheroo 5AP would have very little impact to the game. Team-Up Cards should be permanent, single use, and unchanging. But subsequent cards might be different. No-one loses or gains anything if Team-Ups get tweaked around ... and those changes may eventually filter back to the characters.

Truly a bug. And at that, since it's not in the list of Team-Up-able powers, it shouldn't have dropped nor should drop in the future. May want to keep that one around though (even if/when we allow deletion of TUs).
That's like having a Cal Ripken Jr. Rookie Error Card.

So I see that one of the Team Up powers is Chemical Reaction with Daken Dark Avengers model...but I'm still not seeing that power in his cover set? Is it supposed to be out with this patch or the next?

That's in there since it was supposed to be out when we brought out Daken's third ability (and attendant ability changes). The community took that..... poorly, so it went back to the considerations board. The ability itself is done in-code though, so it's on that list.

With Ragnarok and two Thors already around, Beta Ray Bill seems unlikely, or at the very least rather boring. Also, names like Bonebreaker, Blob and Blade don't fit there, given it's a lexicographical listing. I'd like Black Cat, but just from a naming perspective, I imagine with Captain Marvel and Captain America already in they'd probably try to refrain from adding her for a little while due to multiple Black Widows and a Black Panther already existing.

Bishop and Beast seem the most likely. I suppose Ben Reilly is a possibility, but he'd more likely be a subtitle for Scarlet Spider.

Sorry for hijacking this thread, incidentally. Shall I make a separate "Conspiracy Theories!!!11!!" thread for this possible spoiler? (When in the end this all turns out to be a troll by IceIX, I'm going to be very happy and very sad.)

Nothing to report there yet. The general idea is that the third ability would balance out the nerf some and that the nerf itself is justified (for the 2* and 3* version) by the fact that Daken's abilities are OP, especially on high level AI. The opposite side of that is that despite this, Daken is heavily underutilized by both 2* and 3* level players. So if you nerf him further and he's already underused, who does that really help? Hence, it's back on the board for consideration.
