Most board shuffling abilities you use to try to improve your position. In Devil Dino's case it's more of something you use when you're in a bad situation because it's unlikely to make the situation any worse. Abilities like that has a place, but I'm not sure if the overall power he brings is enough to warrant using him.0

In his initial appearance, he's a joke and doesn't really do much but look funny. Then when the sequel comes out, they buff the tinykitty out of him and suddenly I'm taking down Magneto and Storm with basic combos and a well timed lvl3 super.0 -
more confirmation that odds are skwed, I just pulled two purple dino from 5 tokens off that lightning round effort today0

Additionally his iso costs seem lower than other 4*.
I have Fury, IW, and Dino all at 78. Level 79 costs 338 for Fury and IW, but only 270 for Dino.0 -
all of the levels from 71-81 have been cheaper for Dino than the rest of team 4-star. That does seem off...0

Why are levels cheaper for Devil Dino than the other 4-stars? I tried to skim the thread and didn't see either mention or explanation of the phenomena.
I have Fury and Dino both @ 80. lvl81 cost:
Fury: 357
Dino: 286
I think level 71 only cost 206 for Dino, but was (consulting chart) 258 for Fury. That suggests a roughly 20% reduction in the cost of levels for Devil Dino.
Is this a permanent discount for the 'novelty' character... or is this a stealth bonus of Anniversary week that will end tomorrow when Anniversary Week closes down?

Well if he's supposed to be a weaker character that helps transition players then it'd make sense that he won't cost as much as a 4* because otherwise you should still save up for the better 4*s. Not sure if it'd make him worth leveling but at least it's good to see they acknowledge the character isn't as strong as the typical 4*.0 -
I think having Purple at 3 lends itself to better board composition for matching -> Left side has more , the right side has more -> leads to slightly more 4s and 5s. You're not really intending to use this ability as a power option anyways. If the power is at 5, you don't get the same effect because every color is pulled.
Of course, this assumes you're a better matcher than the AI.0 -
So I've been mostly enjoying this Anniversary week. I love the double ISO-8, love the higher rate to pull cool stuff out of tokens, and had fun with each event. My biggest complaint, I've played a ton trying to get enough tokens to finish Devil Dino and I am losing hope. I'm a very hardcore player and have earned every possible dino and I'm still at 2/2/3 (well I've pulled practically nothing but purple covers so I've got a few hanging in my cache). I'll be getting the days 365-367 dinos next week but I'll still be several covers short. I've even purchased a 10-pack, which i regret, and opened close to 40 additional Anniversary Tokens.
I just really dislike how he was rolled out. Many might judge me and ask why I'm even worried about it if he's not that good, but I really just wanted to have the opportunity to finish him in terms of covers. MPQ has this strange system of upgrading abilities that's unlike any other game, and it's cool/fun for the most part but instead of needing only one of something, you need thirteen. If he's truly a limited edition/vanity hero, why not have a way to earn every ability over the course of the week? Players that don't get to play as often still have a chance with tokens, but there really should have been a reliable way to earn your build of choice Devil Dino outside of token chance.
So how limited will Devil Dino be?0 -
This is relevant to my interests too. I really wanted to get him fully covered this week but despite my efforts, I've gotten about 12 reds, 12 purples, and not a single green.0

Besides your 356 day reward and this week, so far there are no plans for him to be available from the news I've read. He's purely a trophy reward, and could be considered about as viable as a three.0

If he's available in 4* that'd be a pretty bad thing because it's hard enough to get enough of a 4* cover as is based on the current existing odds. You can be pretty sure the total chance of getting 4* is still going to be fixed so it's just going to dilute the pool.
At best I can see him returning as some kind of reward for a Gauntlet type event. I guess it wouldn't hurt for the standard PvP 1300 reward but I can't imagine D3 really want to even give out very many of those as long as they haven't nerfed Sentry.0 -

I really hope it changes. I played my butt off this week just trying to get more covers. I've opened so many tokens that, with each one, I become less enthusiastic. I personally think how he was rolled out was terrible. I don't think random chance to get the last half of his abilities is a good method of distribution for a limited hero. As of now, after 1 week of playing like an insane person, he still won't be finished and he'll sit there in a sorta mostly covered but not useful state for who knows how long.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this game (there's a reason I have played every single day since it launched). I think the devs do a great job in general and most characters are fun to play, if not entirely useful for competition. I just hope that in the future, if you release a limited hero, that it be entirely possible to earn a full 13 cover build within the time frame.0 -

There's no reason to stress. Dino is not and likely will never be a truly playable character. He is decent but not "let's spend several hundreds of thousands of Iso to level him up" decent.0 -

I totally understand what you're saying, but I'm more concerned about how a limited character is rolled out. There's a finite number of possible tokens given out for the entire event. There's a good chance that, even if you managed to get every single available token, you could still end up with an incomplete character. To me, that's not fun and doesn't make me feel like I have accomplished anything. Especially when someone opens a 10 pack and gets 6 additional dinos. Awesome for that person, but I feel there should be a way for me to earn it if I'm a hardcore player.0
