It doesn't? At what point is a player informed that "recruiting" a 5* character will impact the level of the opponents offered to them?
My observation was simply in regard to the (lack of) guidance that the game provides to new players. When I started, there were no such thing as 5* characters, and there were much less 4*'s than there are now (in fact, there was 1). There was still a lack of guidance back then, but there was just so much less to learn or comprehend.
