What PVE node team do you hate the most?

The Rider Awakens, coming soon to a Hearts of Darkness day 3 near you! Three waves of just heroes at the highest PVE scaling. Actually, day three has several nasty missions. The Legendary mission used toe be Prof X, with Cyclops and Teen Jean, making for a "please no match 4!" nailbiter. Even the trivial wave mission was bad, with Teen Jean meaning you don't want to finish the previous wave with a match 5, plus Classic Storm punishing your damage, you can end up eating a lot more damage than you expected. After that, Bullseye, Lieutenant, Muscle may be my most hated. High level Adamantium Bones shuts down damage easily, Morale Boost ruins your hard work, and the tiny kitty Muscle just goes, " s'all right. My Threaten and Tommy Gun will get you eventually."0

Yeah, I think we have a winner in "Worst PvE Node" Carnage + 2 Mutations. Lots of enemy special tiles automatically created thanks to Carnage. Guard Dog from each of the mutations. With Quicksilver as the required character, even Medusa+C4ge will need health packs after that one.

Any combination of Ultron goons + whoever.
Pretty much everything in The Hunt.

Watch Dog "firing" from friendly matches is still absurd. That should have been adjusted ages ago, but I'm guessing Medusa is the reason it wasn't.

Luke cage req node in deadpool vs villains: carnage, ultron, doc ock. All 3 drop fists nearly every turn. The match takes FOREVER, and even with Luke's shields you end up taking mega damage. Could they make a node more irritating to play? I don't think so!!0

I threw medusa at them! I didn't care about the third member but I though I'd try an unchamped and underleved f4st with them. Worked better than I actually expected to be honest!0

Champed Medusa, Champed C4ge, and Champed Mordo made that one way easier than I was anticipating. Mordo's 10 blue for 11K damage was quite nice. None of the PVE node teams bother me, except the ones with a high leveled Hood. I'll usually bring my own Hood to neutralize him.

Many stories have those missions that just suck. Dogs of War (Venom Bomb, Ares plus 2 Mutations) is just stupidly damaging for a trivial mission with Ares eating up all the red and green from those dogs. Bullseye plus 2 Muscle (was that Unstable ISO-8? The Dark Reign stories kind of blur together). Strange Sights last wave mission on Doom's Day (green Sentries on first wave! Hate your broken Swarm passive!) Oh, also Strange Sights, Kingpin being fed by minions on required mission, especially if your required character isn't developed yet. Poke. Poke. Stop poking me!
BTW, if a minion has a passive, could you please, please not have it generate AP in the passive color at least?0 -
I think only Mindless Ones do that now... They did fix Hammer snipers and Brotherhood Criterion, I believe. The Mystique/Bhood/Bhood nodes are (slightly) more manageble.zodiac339 said:

anything in the later nodes and involving 2* Bullseye is a **** slog, and god help you if 3* Doc Ock or Carnage is present0

Bullseye with Lieutenant. One places protect tiles, one restores health. And most of the characters which remove special tiles have that power on purple, which places more protect tiles from Bullseye! If Cap Marvel 2 or 3* aren't boosted, it's one hell of a grind!
About the goons, I kind of like fighting them- it's relaxing.

Back in the day the goons generates 2 AP per turn for each. So when they fed Jugg etc they got powers twice as fast.

Wiping happens so seldom on PVE nodes these days, that when a node actually really does give you trouble, you most definitely remember it. This is probably the single PVE node of all events where I go into it genuinely not knowing whether I will make it past the last round or not. I've been so thankful that 2* Carol is one of the Boosted characters for this run of ISO-8 Brotherhood. For that one, I usually bring a two person rainbow team (Invisible Woman/Elektra, Nick Fury/Bl4de) and Hood. The four stars tank for Hood, who steals enough AP so that you don't need to worry about taking four abilities to the face at the start of each wave. Once I get Wasp champed, she might be someone to take in there as well.BoyWonder1914 said:

Any team with a high level Juggernaut, his scaling is OP past about 300.
Any team of Dark Avengers.
