GOOD:
-Interesting way to choose your path, determining which goons/villains to fight.
-New goons not insane (like Ultron sentries), still beatable with the right characters.
-Dr. Strange is a great 3*!! Very fun to play with.
-While boss fight was hard, it was enjoyable to have to beat him with a different strategy*
-The size of each vault: nice and small.
BAD:
-The prizes inside each vault. Don't get me wrong, I love the chance to get the Dr. Strange LT, a 4* (I actually had a decent one in each vault), and a 3*Dr. Strange. But there were also 500 ISO prizes. To get the first token, you had to beat every node (sans essential). That's a lot of work to get 500 ISO. To those who pulled a cover on their pull, congrats! And to those who had plenty of HP to pull the rest of the vault, congrats! But I HAVE to save every single Hero Point for slots. I just think the smallest prize in each vault should've been much better than 500 ISO.
What else does everyone think was good and bad about the event?
*I can say this because thankfully my roster is not big enough to face him at level 469 or whatever people were facing him at higher up. Yikes!

Ultron Sentry 5* scaling was pants on head crazy - cost me a Strange cover. The 1/10 shot for a 1/10 shot at 5* Strange was super lame, and the 350 HP for 200 HP prize was a slap in the **** face.
Overall a solid event, and I welcome the additional content. Just the typical "demi doesn't understand 5* scaling," and "D3 is super stingy with rewards" complaints.0 -
It was overall a pretty decent event, new boss type that's not unbeatable, pick your own path was pretty cool, and new goons, while irritating if their special tile falls in the corner, are not symbiote-level irritating.
Unfortunately though, whoever thought throwing Kingpin with 2 Bk/Y feeders was a good idea is totally out of his mind.0 -
GOOD:
7 event tokens per sub0 -
I liked the event a lot.
Good
The story was great.
The new goons were great.
It gave a decent odds on winning at least one 3* strange.
Cool door graphic!
Bad
Ridiculously tiny odds to win new 5* strange, unless you basically just saved up thousands of CP to open his 25 cp token, and even then, nothing is guaranteed. But I guess that's what I'll have to do at some point, maybe after I eventually get a champed old 5*.
Scaling was fine for me personally, but it sounded like it was out of control for champed 5* players, and that's not right. Scaling should make it challenging for everyone, but not overly challenging for certain groups, especially those who have the cover set that all the rest of us aspire to get.
Also it would have been nice for something special to happen for beating the boss the third time, with all three items. I'm pretty sure that was a programming bug that reset your progress.0 -
Good
New well balanced goons. They can get very strong if you aren't managing them, yet they are completely manageable.
Good boss, working with puzzle mechanics instead of overwhelming brute force.
Bad:
Vaults. No deals. Insane price of 350, when two thirds of the insulting prizes were ISO or less hp than you paid.
5* tokens that had worse odds than classics or latest legends.
Paying 1000 for a 3* who is already irrelevant power wise for my scaling.0 -

And, in turn, defeating Mr. Silliness for the third time should have unlocked a fight against the big bad (Dormammu, of course!), in which achieving a win condition was rewarded with a Strange token.0 -
I enjoyed this one a lot. The boss was a pain until you figured out how to tackle him but that is the "puzzle" side of the game which we do not talk about to much. I did not get the 5-star Strange but ended up with 4 or the 3-star cards. Overall A-, a slight downgrade for the boss probably being a little difficult for some people to handle, great overall effort.0

THIS
There was a node, I think it was the 5th node, that was two sentries and a Mindless One. On the 5th pass of this node (so, at max scaling) I wiped 3 times. I finally brought in Ant-Man and just BARELY beat this node. Lvl 435 OML, lvl 435 Phx and champed Ant-Man.0 -
It's so awesome that players have to resort to post mortems after new events, because we if we wait for one from the developers, well, we'll wait a long time.
Fix Ultron goon scaling.
That is all.0 -
GOOD:

-Dr. Strange is a great 3*!! Very fun to play with.
NEUTRAL:
-Interesting way to choose your path, determining which goons/villains to fight, but it was ultimately pointless. Would be much improved if there was some strategic reason for choosing one vs another or you got different bonus' from each.
- Boss fight was OK, but could have been better IMO. I rated this neutral vs bad because I do like that they are trying unique things and it ultimately was beatable once you got the hang of it (unlike Boss Rush).
- Vaults - The 3 mini vaults was an interesting idea, but I think for me I would have preferred a typical vault, especially with how many Strange Sights covers were given out.
BAD:
-The 500 ISO prizes were an insult. The lowest possible should have been 2000 ISO based on the challenge to get the free token and the more expensive price.0 -
Good:
- Story
- Concept of choosing your own path
- New enemies
- Fighting a lot of different enemies
- Strange is great, both 3 and 5
- 11 Element Vaults
- K. can be a fun boss (see scaling though)
- A lot of normal tokens awarded each sub
Bad:
- No ending
- Implementation of choosing your own path.
- No extra price for beating K. 3 times.
- Not even one Strange LT rewarded by just playing the event
- 200 HP for 350 HP ??????
The Ugly:
- Char + 2 feeders. Do we still need to remember Devs that this is like cheating????
- Unfair Scaling, again through the roof for 5 teams. Ultron Sentries with 110k hitpoints ?!?!?!? Fighting 100k K. with two 3s.
I would easily give an 8 to this event IF the scaling was fixed. As is I have to give just a 5.5
PS: Looks like the only solution going forward to try to fight this scaling is to champ BBolt and Strange as fast as possible, but not even the best 5 team is going to help in Boss Rush or Kaecillius fight :S :S :S :S0 -
I mostly enjoyed the event. I'd give it a 8 out of 10.
I loved the new goons, they were fun to figure out. The format was great, the choose your path methodology worked out really well also.
I think it was Nova's essential node in the Maggia thread but who ever decided to do Kingpin with two Don's is an evil genius or at least a sadistic one. That was a challenge, but honestly, I kind of enjoyed the challenge. There was a lot of puzzling on that one.
I also got a lot of nice rewards and the vault main vault was good to me.
On the downside, I thought the reward at the end game was a bit lacking. If memory serves me you got a command point for beating the bad boss and only 200 points towards progression. That was about as anticlimactic as they got. Also, the little mini vaults didn't offer enough rewards.
I will say this, I spent all of my banked command points for the Sanctum Santorum LT and did get myself a five star strange. I'll be honest, I think he's going to be one of my favorite characters, I want more covers.0 -
I would add two bad things:
- only 1cp for beating the boss is far too small prize, it should be more like 5cp, and Sanctum Legendary Token for beating him for a third time,
-no daily deal in the vaults, with such content (500iso) there should be tempting 100hp daily deal. I cannot imagine who could spend 350hp in those vaults.0 -
I will say that I liked the mini-vaults as it provided me with a 1/10 chance (11?) to get one color of the new 3* Strange in each vault.
Of course, 350 was WAYYYYYY too much to pay for a chance to pull at the vault. Basically, I pulled until I got the LT and the 3*. If I got the 4* along the way, cool. I only emptied one of the vaults completely (as the LT was the last pull, of course).
I left 6 slots open out of 30. Since we had 3 free shots I spent 21*350 = 7350. (That's not including deducting the 200*3 HP rewards I obtained in the vaults along the way).
Gross.0 -
Yeah I would say boss fights would seem like a bigger deal if they offered bigger prizes. The three sub-bosses offered only a few good prizes, and the rest were dummy prizes of pitiful amounts of ISO and HP. And the Big K fight was just 1 cp, so it didn't really feel like much.
I would have cranked it up a bit to at least 3* covers, thousands of ISO, hundreds of HP or 5 cp for beating the sub boss and big boss. And probably just one single vault instead of three identical vaults.. or else if you're going to have three vaults, then make each vault have different types of prizes.
Right now, even though there were three items, it just felt like the ___ of ___ because they didn't have any role in the story, prizes or offer anything that helped you play the game.
But I feel that all of these complaints shouldn't take much work to resolve!!!! Just a small bit of tweaking, and then we're there!!!!0 -
Overall I was very happy with the event. As many have said, the new minions were well crafted and the large number of tokens available each day was welcome. Strange is a nice character design though I'm not in a situation where it makes any sense to spend 25 CP for a 10% chance at Strange versus spending 20 CP for a 15% chance for older 5* covers. And, yes, the mini-vaults were terrible for me since two of the three had 4* covers I couldn't use (already had 5 of them on a non-champable character). But I"m sure the metrics on whether people were willing to spend for those vaults will result in some tweaking in the future. I also appreciated that the new mechanic for the Kaecillus fight wasn't game-breaking if you couldn't accomplish it. A good way to test a new type of feature. Although it would have been nice to have gotten something for beating him all three times.
If is definitely a nice new PvE to add to the overall mix, and I look forward to playing it again (hopefully with the Ultron Sentry scaling fixed).
I find it ironic that we have just had Gwenpool released with Chekov's Gun followed by Strange Sights which completely violates the premise of Chekov's Gun. If you are going to allow me to get the Wand, Book and Orb then they should do something. Even if it was just something like increasing the damage done to Kaecillus so that each round it took one less strike tile match to defeat him.0 -
I still find it so weird that people actually read the stories. I couldn't tell you a thing about any of the dialogue.
Anyway, there should've been a Strange LT somewhere in the event, restricting them to 10% chance in the vault is pretty weak. The other 5* release tokens (Civil War, Red Room) where accessible with game play. That's my only real gripe.
The Sentries are way overpowered but that's not a problem with Strange Sights, that's a problem with Sentries.
The vault had decent variation for a free token (I got 1k and 200HP from the 3 tokens, for those wondering). It was terrible spending value but plenty of people spent on it anyway, so jokes on us I guess.
Choose your own adventure, three different enemy sets in three subs, a boss within a regular PvE, triple alliance sub rewards....all good adjustments. Framework is there now to make other PvEs a little less monotonous.0 -
I really enjoyed the event, but am I the only one who had a problem with the Choose Your Own Adventure leading to horrible placement? I'm usually consistently in the 20-40 range, and that continued this time - but when you are competing against three parallel runs, getting 30th in a sub translated to 90th overall. Just ended up odd.
Kudos to the people who got top 20, but if this is run again with a New 4* as a reward, there's gonna be a lot of grumbling0 -
I had two vaults with 4* covers I needed, neither of which dropped from the free token. I pulled twice to get a Pun black and 5 times to get my 13th JG cover. In total, I also got 3000 iso twice, 200hp, 2
covers and two Sanctum tokens. It was a decent haul.

The best part was the great ammount of tokens (I suppose next run, as it won't be for a new character, it will have a vault). And Doctor Doom summoning demons only for Bullseye to grab them and toss them back for big damage.0
