As a competitive player (as you seem to be) you know that destroying a predictable field full of gimmick decks is easy going. There are common tier cards in almost every color that trade 1:1 with the guy and cost less. So say thank you to all competitors who decide to build their deck around one specific card and enjoy watching the AI cast their Haunted Cloaks on your guy again and again. Pqmtg- wrote: Have you considered the possibility that you're only above rank 25 without crashes because others crashed? Not saying your wrong or anything, cause apparently a lot of players have been affected by game crashes. But i know from my own experience that there are players (like me) who haven't experienced a single game crash, neither on my phone (htc one m7) nor on my PC (nox app player). I made it to 371 of 384 possible points in the last Terrors of the Shadows event, finishing #2 and making my first top 5 finish with 22 points ahead of the #6 player. Man would i be pissed if i missed out on 24 points due to three game crashes playing my **** off all weekend and even at work on monday. So i fully understand Azazels perspective. I think its not unlikely that the players finishing in top positions are mostly not experiencing any game crashes and there are a lot of guys with game crashes who just finish behind them although they have been playing as much and as good.

Finished first in my group as a result, by quite a large margin (I think anyway - can't check the actual scores afterwards, but I was a long way ahead the whole time including with one hour to go). Had 353 out of a possible 360. This was in silver tier mind you, and also in a late-starters group, not sure where 353 would rank in platinum! For what it's worth, I've found I've had a lot less crashes since upgrading my ipad (from a very old one to a moderately old one). In fact I don't think I've had a single crash since the upgrade. While on the other hand it still crashes fairly frequently if I play on my phone. I actually have a theory that the majority of crashes in many games are actually triggered by running out of memory. Or at least, they increase in frequency when running low on memory. I don't know a lot about how memory is managed on iOS to be honest, but the behaviour fits qualitatively in general, across a number of different games.
