    If you play lightning rounds, magneto and iron man. Also magik is great ascended.

    Depends on your play style, but these ones are all quite good: Agatha, HoneyBadger, Mephisto, AprilParker, LukeCage, Magik

    1. Multiman - IMO one of the best characters in the game.
    2. Moonstone - easily a hard carry with many good teammates
    3. Ikarus - very tough with starting pink AP and an unkillable partner (iHulk, Baku etc.)
    4. Deathlok - still quite good if you like technologists, but needs more heals than the top tier.
    5. Many, many others, depending on how you want to play, especially the newer 4s.

    Truly couldn't even tell you what multiple man does lol; i should probably look at these powers at some point.

    I appear to have 90 characters ascended to 5* on roster, most of them will have started as 4s but i have a couple 3a5s and a 2a5. Actually, it would be cool to be able to sub sort by the starting tier at some point. I really like the 4* characters I ran heavy before I got to 5 now that they can hang in the 5* tier. Like for instance Black Panther (King of Wakanda) is at 464 on my list, i love to run him with Polaris and 5* Kamala or Beta Ray Bill. The way his and Shuri's math historically calculates actually seemed kind of broken or at least not obvious even at the 4* tier. Kinetic Shield factors in anybody's protect tiles, not just friendly, so he can also be fun to run with Eddie Brock Venom (ascended) as a third. He isn't like my super favorite, just a character I don't think ever really got talked about who actually is pretty fun to play.

    Ascended Vulture/Sandman/Gamora works well also. Not the fastest thing running, but vulture powers both the green aoe+
    stun as well as deadliest woman

    Yes please! I asked for this a few times when they were still doing Q&A. I would use this much more often than the costume filter.

    And the solution can be super simple as well: just add an affiliation to each character that is their starting tier. If they can add ‘Daily Play’, it shouldn’t be hard to add a base tier as well.

    My go-to in PVP pick 2 is 4Moonstone/3Namor, does 4Moon still represent when ascended or does she lose any?
    I'll have to keep these other 4*s in mind for the future! My usual PVE is 5OmegaRed/Okoye/5Mephisto, using Polaris/BRB/MThor for the challenge node.

    And for the Puzzle Guantlet, I use MultipleMan and Coulson, either with someone on the bottom row or 5Hawkeye for a "quicker" win in the top row.

    Moonstone loses some of her buff%, but I want to say she gets an extra turn on her stun? I remember it being a lateral move unless you're really really invested in the Thunderbolts team.

    I am still soft capping until I have enough characters to ascend to make it worth doing.

    However 4*Daredevil would be a frontrunner to ascend for me. Partnered with Multiple Man they more often than not win on damage faster than the alt win condition. I'm still shocked there seems to only be one other player running around PvP with this pairing.

    You can probably guess I have a weakness for wasting resources ascending some pretty rubbish characters, but I can't help myself when I have ISO and it's a choice between champing the very worst 5* stars or utterly mediocre 4*s...
    With how much ISO the anniversary brings in, I'll likely soon be adding some absolute stinkers to the list! Elektra, Mister Fantastic, Nick Fury, Yondu...

    I don't see any rubbish characters on your current list.

    Elektra isn't very good, though. MrF is ok but sort of limited.

    Coulson can't now because of the max damage per turn limit. So all bonus damage will just be wasted.

    Does Coulson get a damage cap when ascended? If not, you may be thinking of Galactus passive, so the rest of MPQ should still be vulnerable to winfinite combos.

    As for the OP, Jugg was my first to ascend, followed by Rocket, and then India. Jugg is pretty obvious, as is Rocket. India is mostly for the turn 1 win since it's frequently a 120-180K team damage without AP boosts.

    None of these may hold up with the new SCL, though. I'm interested to see how that impacts team composition next week!

    I would love to ascend many of the characters everybody here has mentioned, but truthfully, I'm locked in.

    I max-maxed M'Baku and literally just ascended my 3* Namor to a 5* so ofc now I must 550 both.

    Haha, you kid, but I am waiting for this to happen. I hope it doesn't but if it does l, I won't be butthurt!

    I could finally select a new 4* to ascend!

    I have 50 lower s ascended to 5. I did most of them right after ascension became a thing. At some point I mostly stopped ascending most 4s. The last one I ascended was Winter Soldier after his 5 debut to double dip on feeder rewards.

    I have 50 non ascended 4*s with champed dupes that are ascend able now. None of the dupes max champed, although Invisible Woman is close.
