This is great news! I don't have to remember to win a game with Ghostpool or a Winter in July character for a while.Ghostpool tokens are still being awarded. I didn't check to see if they can be framed.
Step 1: Take a screenshot of the token reward screen.
Step 2: Print your glorious victory notification on a high quality printer.
Step 3: Buy a nice frame, maybe something with a black frame. Place printout carefully in the frame, be sure to center it.
Step 4: Tell the wife the family photos will need to move so everyone can remember that day you earned a Ghostpool token.
Step 5: Hang your moment of victory in your man cave.
I wish I had a man cave. I think one should be included with every property (ladies can have a she shed). I only have a man umbrella. I guess I could sellotape any future victory print to that. I am now also of course going to use Deadpool in a fight which may bring those who I persecuted as witchfinder general down on me but hey ho!

While I'm sure your dev team would have preferred to be working on other issues/enhancements, I appreciate your taking this approach so that my normal gameplay behavior wouldn't have resulted in my getting my account rolled back. Thank you.You restart the game hundreds of times a day?!?!?

Probably not hundreds, but easily many many dozens, depending on the PvP event. Do you play PvP much? Seems like not. When you skip 3 times, then it costs you iso to skip again. If you don't want to pay the iso tax to skip, if you restart the game the iso counter resets. When chilling while watching tv and multitasking with some PvP, resetting the game so I can find a worthwhile opponent without spending iso is something I've been doing for years. Hope that helps.

I play PvP but have rarely used the iso reset tax. Also wasn't at all questioning your gameplay, sorry if it came across like that. ☺️

When the game kept crashing I didn't read anything about counting how many times we had to restart to compensate.
And if you say it's because of equality between players. Take away the payments. Since they go against equality.0 -
Please focus on why the game is now draining my battery 1% for every minute I play. I use my phone for work and cannot sacrifice 20% of my battery for daily tasks. Add in all the other terrible glitches you knowingly rolled out (crashes, ascended characters in filtering, massive loading delays, etc) and I can't/won't play until it is resolved. 5 years of fun down the drain in one terrible (and known) issue.
5 -
Previously there was an exploit where players could put their phones in airplane mode and reroll tokens until they pulled whichever characters they wanted. The players who were doing it felt much the same about that as many do about this -- "if you don't want me to do it, then patch the bug! I'm just being smart, not cheating! It's a victimless crime!"
Once the devs figured out what was happening it was apparently pretty easy to identify the folks who were heavily exploiting it. Interestingly, they did not punish players who occasionally opened a handful of tokens while offline. Players who'd spent entire days rerolling thousands of tokens were sandboxed or rolled back.

That sounds like the right call given the situation. That said, it’s a bit disappointing that the initial response was to wag a finger at players who used an "exploit" that was created (and left unpatched) by the dev team for quite a while. It stayed live for days, even after being widely known, and it’s understandable that some players saw that as fair game. Glad to hear missed tokens will be compensated fairly once it's all resolved. It sounds like the Devs are fire fighting million issues right now and perhaps prioritised other, perhaps more urgent issues?
There is no more singularly important issue than making sure rewards are issued correctly. Putting all other mistakes aside. Players will not tolerate any impropriety in how event rewards get processed.
Game engine, graphics, all that other sutff doesn't matter if players don't have confidence in how results get processed.
So yes its better they acknowledge with a post and delay the issuance until after the fix is over. Players are long used to seeing balloned resource drops, so its at least consistent with history and practice
Edit:
Honestly, I think this bug is more important than shield time display bug. I can adapt my play flow to manually log shield times and play around the missing timer during hours 8-24. But no one is gonna play if they don't reasonably expect to see "earned rewards"1 -

That's not exactly how it worked. You couldn't change the results of your pulls, you could just preview what you would get. So you could preview what your cp would get you from latest or a special store, not lose your cp and then decide if you actually wanted to do it or not.
Also, I beleive it required multiple devices and some other shanigans that no one would have ever just figured out by playing the game normally.

The Devs **** up the game but the players always ruin it.

That's the thing that happened AFTER they fixed the first rerolling exploit. The first version of it did allow you to effectively choose what you got.

The preview of pulls that you could not change (only wait for the store to rotate and slightly alter the results) existed for years. Who knows if it works in Unity. (Someone knows, haha.)
But before that, the store actually re-rolled results for each pull each time so people did do that, pull and reset until they got the rarity they wanted. Then the devs figured out that they needed to make sure all the pulls for each store were preset forever, basically, so you couldn’t alter anything. That ended the practice.
Well, obviously the covers change a little when new characters enter, but the rarity always stays the same.

And if you were around for the first version of the exploit, the players who were doing it argued that they were just being smart and not hurting anyone. When that failed (because LOL), many of them argued that it was all just an accident -- they didn't mean to spend entire days rerolling thousands of tokens, they just played in areas with poor service!
The devs saw right through them, because it's not like these people were criminal masterminds or something. If the exploiters had been somewhat less greedy or open about it, they'd probably have been fine. It turns out that it's pretty easy to tell who's purposely exploiting something and who's doing it by accident. On top of that, many of them openly bragged about what they were doing, and openly instructed others in how to do it.
I did not hear of a single player who was punished for occasionally opening tokens in a bad service area, because again, it's trivial to see who's doing this sort of thing on purpose and who isn't.

Yes, there were many levels to how that exploit evolved. (randomness, used to be calculated on the client device vs pre-calculated by server) Apparently, internal Nicknames were assigned. Overall, I don't have any issues on how it was handled. The game mechanics needed to be hardened. Even the forced update diaglog box is the result of users explicitly trying to avoid an update.
Overall consequences for both devs and players are necessary to build a well designed app thats hardened against gameplay attacks.

I guess I never heard about the first version of that cheat.

This is how this should have been initially handled. Well done pivoting from the absolutely terrible way it was handled yesterday to a much more reasonable approach. Now please fix all the other bugs you have introduced with this very poorly executed launch of your new engine.

This was weird. It was kinda interesting in DDQ where crash of titans kept showing up as not completed. 🤣🤣…I didn’t think much about it. I just kept playing it and kept getting the tokens for latest legends. These guys really gotta fix this new engine. It is completely unstable..🤣🤣. So laggy…🤣🤣…I make the selection on the move in the field and I have to wait for the damn thing to complete my task. Why?!?!…🤣🤣🤣..Dude, this is trash. I never thought after all the years of playing that it’ll get this bad. I thought the Dr. Strange cover dump a few years back was bad. Nope, this is worse…🤣🤣🤣🤣

I really like how the smiley count kept going up on the above post as you read along. Is there a Forum badge for that? There should be a forum badge - "Escalating Smiley" - S0kun or Scofie or whoever if you could please get on that ASAP.

Doable, but only with the new engine.

Luckily I updated a few days ago! @DAZ0273 - I have added the new Forum badge under Unity, and delighted to announce that it will be awarded in four months. To the wrong player. Six times.
