Yep, I pretty much ended up being knocked out of top 200 after the main bracket opened up due to a couple days being occupied. That was fun.
  • Even if Mostorm is buffed for the Brotherhood rerun, most people only have 1 or 2 covers for her depending on alliance standings. So even if she is buffed like Hulk was for Tat, and required for essentials, she won't be that useful with 1 or 2 covers.

On another note, Laken covers as a reward would be nice and Mostorm cover for a progression reward would be even better.

Yeah, I would imagine Sentry or Laken as the rewards, with MoStorm being the main buffed character. It's just a shame that D3 hasn't addressed the issues with the last PvE that caused a lot of people to miss out on the Storm covers. If only they'd given out a single Storm cover like they did with Sentry it would have made up for it a bit. As it stands a lot of people are going to struggle in the Brotherhood re-run as they won't have the required character.
I can see people missing top 40, but missing out on top 200? I don't think there are _that_ many serious players without at least a single Mostorm cover.

I don't have a MoStorm cover. Fell so far behind early on due to other commitments I had no chance of making the difference back, and my alliance isn't a top 100 one so I didn't get a cover there either. Real life and D3 bugs (the disappearance of a sub event) really screwed me over this PvE.

It's not that she'll be useful as a character, but generally the nodes with the most points need the required character. If you don't have MoStorm you are always going to be playing catch up, and have an incredibly hard time of placing well in the tournament.

That would be repeat of history icon_e_smile.gif especially if we had a pvp soon offering another set of covers for the last few days.

That sucks. Once the main event had playable nodes, the sub-events didn't even really have to be played to keep up. I missed out on top 40 because I had a real life issue come up with an hour to go. I plummeted from #2 to #109 in 60 minutes. icon_rolleyes.gif
  • Hopefully they allow us to use Cstorm or Mstorm on the nodes that require MoStorm like they did with Cmags and MagMN during the event before last (unbuffed of course). that would at least allow people who did not pick up the new storm cover to keep pace and contribute.

Um, if you're referring to The Simulator, the only reason CMags was usable was because he was the featured villain on of that particular segment. Doom was also featured for one as well and it changed once more or so. But at no point do I even recall being able to use MNMags on an essential node for CMags. I may be wrong but it's unlikely that happened.

You are wrong, but I can see how you never noticed that MN Mags was useable. Your higher-level Mags was auto-selected and who on Earth would have MN Mags leveled beyond C. Mags? I dominated Simulator on my alt. account because I had a MN Mags that let me play those essentials.

Well I'm wrong then but my MN Mags was definitely higher than my CMags at that time. Probably still is.
  • D3 up to its old tricks, I see.

Anybody else notice the bonus draw rate on the 10-pack is down to 4%?

Yeah, I commented on that in alliance chat.
I guess the odds were way too good at 6.2%.
Seriously, this is crazy. What sane person buys packs with these odds?

Are you talking about the PvE packs? Haven't they always had different rates than the PvP event packs since there's more than one featured character or am I mis-remembering?
  • oh yeah...model 40 for rewards. that makes it all worth while. icon_evil.gif comon...what the...9 days for model 40? model 40....really? the only thing worth it is the 125k progression reward...an Lstorm cover...oh but wait, you kinda have to have it already to even hope to get enough points for that reward....and for model 40 in the end? and no, you cant use cstorm or mstorm in place of lstorm for the essential nodes. those other covers are locked....i think they messed up that megneto pve event where you could use MNmags if you didnt have Cmags...

At this rate, they're going to see if people buy packs that don't even have the featured character in it at all!

That's a funny way to spell nerf.
