That was my thought exactly. Still entirely usable but slower than previous. I use to use her pretty regularly if I needed to play quickly, but now there are better alternatives.

I've played against a few MThor/Polaris teams and haven't really noticed the difference. Using her myself for any "SAP" tile quests also hasn't really changed. Is she slower? Probably? Does she do less damage? I'm sure she does, but with me it was never the damage that mattered, it was always about SAP propagation.

I guess we'll see -- if her purple is bugged and she's supposed to default to damage (rather than propagation,) and they change that then I might say she's badly nerfed, but as it is she definitely isn't. Point of fact, she may not be nerfed enough, but I'm willing to concede that some comboes should be darn good and at least she's doing less damage...

It's a solid nerf. Didn't kill her. It's really the timing that stinks, as so many have said. "We are making the game harder AND nerfing your most powerful toys. Enjoy!"

double attack (purple + green)
Cascade SAP creation
She create less SAP was 3 now 2
All this I accept.

But why they made this 5AP purple power useless?
I don't know any one who use this power to switch green powers...

DEVS please just make her 5AP purple usable.

Green should be only - Electromagnetic Resonance.

Purple should be - Particle Accelerator, but...
Take out this part "At the start of Polaris turn she deal X damage for each special tile one the board"
Just leave the passive part "in none exist, crate a strength Y strike tile"
And add active part like "for 5AP she create 3 random SAP tile"

I don’t care if so many of us knew that she was OP and needed a fix. The devs leaned way into that - she’s got multiple costumes and Polaris offers are one of the most common ones.

People are POd and leaving over this or pulling way back and the game has already been losing players over device phaseout and the bugs etc.

They should do something like sent out 2 LTs for every 10 levels of Polaris you have just to paper things over, assuming anyone still cares about this game running for more than a couple months. Or more LTs! I don’t care. Go big.

You can't seriously be asking for compensation for a cosmetic item such as a costume?!?!? No amount of nerfing makes her unable to wear the costume.

As for everything else - well, not what I would normally expect from you on the crazy poster ranting scale to be honest!

Yeah! I spent all that time getting her to 550 and now she's slightly less OP than she was. I used to be able to easily beat teams in 45 seconds, but now without the extra hit of damage at the beginning of the turn matches can easily last an entire minute.

I demand compensation for the 15 seconds per match they've added onto my time when using her. Adding several extra minutes to my playtime is KILLING THE GAME FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forget about 90 LT. For this heinous nerf I demand 2000 LT, 10K cp, and 100k HP. If they don't compensate me I will do absolutely nothing about it!!!!! But, I'll complain on internet forums until I've moved onto the next reprehensible change they make that is literally Killing the game and working me like a DOG!!!!!

To be clear I don’t care that she was nerfed, personally.

And I do get that it seems silly to some people that someone else is mad about this when she’s still really good.

But the game is losing players and telling someone why they shouldn’t feel bad about something isn’t a magic wand. They can still feel bad.

My gut says the Polaris nerf was the final straw for lots of players and it’s hurt the game significantly. There are multiple Google reviews specifically stating the Polaris nerf for their low rating.

Some acknowledgment of the expected anger would have been smart for the devs and some form of compensation- ok, maybe not as much as I said - would have been smart.

Also giving out like 10 or 20 LTs or Classics would only really mean you get a a couple 5s and like 8-17 4s of the 161 we have.

People are going to feel however they feel... You can't control other people's emotions. You also can't tell someone their emotions aren't valid.

That doesn't mean their emotions are logical though. Being upset over the barely-there-baby-nerf of Polaris is understandable...

Then, because you're (not you specifically, but 'you' in a general way) an adult (or a nearly adult teen that thinks they're as mature as any adult) you take a deep breath, calm yourself, and try out the new version to see if you were right about Polaris being ruined, and you settle the tiny kitty down because she's not ruined.

You especially do this if you've heavily invested into Polaris because not doing this would make even less sense when you feel you have more to lose.

Point being, anyone pointing to the Polaris nerf ruining Polaris as their reason to quit is objectively irrational because she's clearly not ruined.

Anyway, please continue asking for compensation I don't need but will totally put to use.

I don't know what your roster looks like but personally I never used Polaris to finish that node. Obviously it depends on who the essentials are etc but there are usually multiple options to win that. Given that we are losing some 4* releases this probably becomes even less of an issue. Jane works just as well with multiple other characters (well until they nerf her!).

Indeed, I have been exclusively using Deadpool's Whales for years now - in fact, it is about the only time I find myself spending any Deadpool points. The only trick is surviving long enough to fire the dang thing, so choose a teammate wisely and victory is assured...

Without knowing your roster we can't advise otherwise.

Without knowing your full roster, no one can tell you what to use.

Ideally, you'd build your roster so the essentials are useful.

If Polaris made it possible to beat a node you otherwise couldn't beat no matter who you used, but now can't do that, there are only two logical conclusions:

1) Polaris was OP, and isn't OP after the nerf.
2) Polaris was your best character because you devoted resources to leveling her that you didn't devote to other characters, and now she's isn't strong enough to single handedly make the difference in beating an intentionally difficult node.

But that's all operating under assumptions you haven't yet tested, because you haven't had access to the final node in welcome to shield to know for sure that Polaris will no longer help you with it.

Regardless, you may just need to accept that your roster won't be ready for certain things yet. Maybe an OP character allowed you to do things ahead of your rosters power levels (which would be proven by you no longer being able to complete certain nodes without that character being as powerful, or with any other characters on your roster) and that's ok.

Try Polaris when you get to the node and see what happens. Experiment with other characters (even if Polaris works you still want to put other characters to use to see what they can do) and check the character advice/review threads on the forums so you know who you sound be targeting.
