    I can definitely see some fun with both his yellow and pink passives, but I also wonder what is going on with that red. Make that red passive reduce enemy match damage and oh boy are we talkin!

    It also make me wish Elektra was better. They will both however get steamrolled in the current climate. If his passive gave him yellow for free AND his red reduced the match damage of enemies instead, him with Elektra 5 would still get flattened by Sssssnakeman. Some fun ideas though.

    I was thinking the same thing, and reducing enemy match damage would be a fitting passive for Matt with his heightened senses.

    Missed opportunity to provide a direct counter to a current meta.

    Devs designing DD's Red power: "Let's give him an ability to bypass Protects and Leapfrog!"

    Also devs: "But that exceeds the budget, so we'll compensate by reducing all friendly match damage. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be."

    Still the devs designing Iron May and Sidewinder: "Teammate buffs go brrrrr"

    Did we confirm the damage reduction is for his entire team? I read it as only if it is HIS match.

    The text says "Whenever you make a match". If it were just Daredevil the text would presumably say "Whenever Daredevil makes a match".

    Completely valid.

    But I’m still super geeked they finally did what I’ve been yelling at the game about for years: make Daredevil, with a darned radar sense, able to hit invisible people who are bending light - which he does not and cannot perceive or rely on to navigate the world - around them to be invisible and hence would not be invisible to him at all.

    It seems incredibly strange that Bearddevil with his giant metal spike knuckledusters does LESS damage when punching you. I mean, what are they there for then?!?!? Does he use them as a beard comb?

    I for one really like the flavor text that's added to ability descriptions (when it fits), and I'm sad it's been neglected a lot lately for new and reworked characters.

    Is 5-15k damage (assuming you have him maxed) reeeally bypassing anything? I suppose it's bypassing your own win, or time invested, due to reducing the real damage.

    • Assuming you match red twice right away: That 25% off of those 2 matches is ROUGHLY 999,000,000 (not counting Jugs team damage, which does hit Frog).
    • Now is your chance though! 5k plus 3k in traps = 8k damage from surely a minimum 100k health enemy. Repeat this 12 more times and you might down someone.
    • Meanwhile, Omega Red (or Jugs) is doing that damage to all 3 enemies (multiplied each turn), without stealing your match damage or requiring any AP at all.
    • Sure sure, he's a 4 star, I get it, so we'll give the benefit of the doubt and double the damage on his red for ascension... 10-30k damage. Now his passives are also drastically reduced. Winder is a 4star.

    I am still excited to use the heal (since I am a sucker for heals) but I am sorry for your loss @Daredevil217.

    Update: Great, now S0kun invalidated most of my scenario... I think they are changing it just to make me look bad. WORTH IT.

    That changes things quite a bit! I'm not sure if he's any good, but it moves him up from the "totally unusable in any situation" tier.

    I guess that makes him a good partner for any one who wants to tank. Even if they over lap on colors the other character will surely end up tanking.
