Bigger news. Will steam be supported. Some reason feel 25 might be over hopefully not

Also don't get to happy about coming soonb. Snap had items listed years ago coming soon. And it's still coming soon

My only concern is that I play on my Kindle Fire - will that remain a supported device when the new UI is implemented?

The new engine is Unity. That engine is portable to a wide range of platforms.
I don't think either of you has anything to worry about with the engine change.
Fire is an android device and the steam version you are using is most likely windows.

Unity is one of the most common game engines used.

I’m interested to hear if the Unity decision over something like Godot was made before or after Unity’s wild pricing model decision was announced.

Those changes were already reverted, and using Godot for a major project is risky. Godot is gaining traction in the indie game scene. But it is far from ready for multiplatform large releases.
It is not a commonly used engine for iOS game development.
As it being untested I don't think it would even come up in the discussion for candidates for the engine switch.

Am I the only one who read this and felt like I do not know much more than we did prior to this road map? Still no real specifics on the QOL improvements (which is what I care most about) or timeline for when any of this will be rolled out. I appreciate the effort,

Presumably everything is linked to the Unity Engine Upgrade so that is what we really need a timeline on.

Likely left vague so there won't be a huge backlash if they can't deliver within the deadline. I guess I'm too used to it by now as a lot of devs I follow do that too. After the lacklustre year we had, I'm approaching this with guarded skepticism.

It does say "New Game Engine Q1 2025", this is financial talk for, January, February or March. At this point that's basically just a 3 month window, so it's pretty much telling us when. Naturally, that doesn't mean it couldn't be delayed, but I would hope since they were so cautious about saying any date info out loud, that they actually believe they can hit that timeframe.

Everything else posted was also posted under that same update, so it could be assumed that all of the additional items should start to roll out quickly with / after the engine update (in those next 3 months).

I like the idea of mixing up the PVP events. It gets tedious seeing the same high-powered characters being used over and over alongside whoever the featured character is. I mean, I like using Polaris as much as anyone else, but it would be interesting to not be able to use her. So bring on the affiliation battles - only Street-Level, only S.H.I.E.L.D., only Supernatural... Too many characters have fallen by the wayside, and this might be a good way to re-engage with some of them. Not sure about the star-level battles, considering the Ascension factor, unless you go by current level and not their base level. On the other hand, an Ascended-only event would nix all of the 5's, so that could be interesting.

I have played other games that have log-in calendars. I'm all for it, but it depends on what type of goodies they're handing out whether it is something to get excited about or not. A daily pittance in Iso-8? Meh. A 5* cover every 28 days? Fudge yeah. So I can't really say until I see this feature go live...

As for these so-called Social Flairs, I can't see how this would enhance the gameplay. Saying that they are "shiny graphical upgrades" implies that it is 100% cosmetic, and only adds a visual enhancement to what is already there. Personally, I would rather get more ways to earn Support Shards than the ability to show off my roster or log-in streak. Let's focus on getting the car running smoothly before worrying about a fancy new paint job.

    Try redemption code DEVPOOL

Can you post the link again for the redemption location?

Is this a new code? I redeemed a bunch of codes at anniversary.

Re: Login calendars - if this was tailor-able by Shield Rank it would be a great tool to provide roster-appropriate rewards.

I have long thought the daily rewards progression was kind of funny because you can join the game now and in 3 years, you'd get a 5* that was new like 10 years ago (or whatever). And you can't re-work it without messing with all the long term vets, but a secondary layer of login rewards would make sense to create rewards that feel more relevant to newer people if you could say .

Another avenue for shards for your favorite, I hope? with various tiers based on shield rank?

    I'm interested to see.

Maybe bigger to you. I still really want to know if I'll be able to keep playing on the device I play it on.

But do we know for sure that bcs' fiscal calander lines up with the yearly calander? BCS' Q1 could run April May June. Or July August September.

Edit: changed corporate calendar to fiscal calendar. Couldn't think of the word earlier.

I doubt they would reference their fiscal calendar as part of a dev roadmap because, outside of employees, nobody would be aware of when that was. In this instance, I'm pretty sure it refers to Jan - March.

Snap is two years old. Released Oct 2022

Seems longer lol but they put on their roadmap new game mode way back in early 2023 as coming soon and still is lol.

I really be shocked if they last in 2025 with all bad changes they did in 24

    But back to this game.

Hopefully before next year I can get it to work on both tablet and steam. Still need to contact cs. Once I have time

I dismissed this post almost immediately. Just more lip service.

After re-reading it I predict a 3 phase rollout culminating in some grand reveal for the 2025 anniversary. And because the team spent most on their time on the new engine, the anniversary will be a repeat of the 10th year anniversary.

2025 will just be more character releases at an increased cadence and new and exciting ways to drain your resources.
