Doesn't look like the "Spring Savings" vault had roster slots but it was still pretty good.

See, there it is! "Slots or bust!" .... "Give me slots or give me death!"

In an (intentionally) complex and obfuscated system, it's natural to glom on to simple black or white rules to simplify decisions and use as easily understood and communicated justification. And in this game, prior to the past year, buying things often meant spending again for the privilege of keeping what was just bought. Been there.

Still amazed that the devs turned slots into an item at all. Offerings of such have been few this anniversary. Are they winding up the playerbase
for some "killer deal"? I hope so.

Goodness knows every precedent must be repeated lest there be an outcry!

I couldn't believe they made the roster slot vaults re-settable, I think if anything that might explain why we don't get them any more!

I keep suspecting that the wave of slot offers was either showing off a new thing, or meant to ease the transition to ascension, or both, that slots-as-prizes was seen as a necessary part of rolling out ascension.

The other super good vault appears to have been called "March Madness" and was similar to above.

There was a Dec, Jan, then a Feb Deals vault, then March Madness, then Spring Cleaning.

    Actually I'm not 100% certain on Feb ... Memory fading .... !

These vaults ran for weeks each. Was a crazy, unprecedented run. Then there was a month with a similar vault that was on and off, alternating weeks. .... Or that may have been Spring Cleaning? Again memory fades ... the
    importance of records!

Anyway yes it was this run that did much to distort memories and expectations. Nothing else is seen as good enough.

In June we had some very good vaults which ran only for a weekend - each one- which limited their resettability/opportunity for people with huge amounts of hp to exploit.

One factor in the game economy is that people who play hard enough build up rosters where they routinely get high level champ rewards from 4s and 5s which have very good ROI and make HP buying completely optional. What to do? It’s a conundrum. Offer high value vault contents? Then players have even better rosters.

The plates keep spinning but feel wobblier than before.

Create 6* or allow us to ascend 5*, and make them strong enough that they're worth the expense of doing so.

Hopefully that's coming soon. The top players will pay if they have to, in order to compete, it's just that nothing is particularly worth buying right now.

Was it last year with the killer 5* support vaults or was that 2years ago.

I think they were definitely during anniversary but not sure which one. Whichever year that was, was the best anniversary.

    2023, it was.

I'm finding this anniversary just meh and semi boring. I feel like its trying to drain my resources, so I just end up not buying or utilizing any of the vaults

Overall my expectations were low enough that I'm not disappointed.

Ha, "2023" was too short to post.

Anybody figure out how to get tokens to the costume party vault?

I like the Zombies and the fact that the Maggia Zombies have new powers even though they've not had chance to fire them yet so I don't know what they do. I hope they get sprinkled into newer events.

I liked the zombie events but had less time for the Labyrinth this year. I think a harder Boss Rush would have been good, E.g. Suggestion: Heroic was tougher and went up by boss health and number of them on alternative levels (So Round 2 had one boys, slightly higher HP, Round 3 had 2 Bosses, Round 4 two bosses with even higher HP, Round 5 three bosses etc.

I like the Anniversary pass, though I raced to finish it and did so quickly. I thought linking it to the XP system so it could still be used to gain XP after all the rewards has been mined might be interesting, just to reflect effort. Don't know how difficult that would be to implement though.

The vault was fine. I spent net 100k HP on them. I should probably have stopped halfway through.

Overlapping anniversary and a regular season quests took a couple of days to get used to but I think it's fine.

Overall, I preferred it to last year so a"thank you Devs!" from me.

    Buy'em.

Costumes = HP, so I would be surprised if they are easily obtainable.

I’m pretty sure they had a vault like this last year and that they gave us one free token and the rest had to be bought in the daily bundles.

Love wasting hp. Keep buying the 1000hp offers. Will never use them like the storm offer. Already got two 450 working on. One 534 other 450

Love to see 6 stars but doubt they ever come out soon if ever bad thing what would it cost to pull

    Now it's 25 cp for 1 in 7. 5 star

    If the odds were
10 percent to pull 6 star
20 percent chance to pull 5
30 percent chance to pull 4
40 percent chance to pull 3

Would you pay 50 or even 75 cp per pull

Also I think they would have to open up a new system to pull 6 stars from

Even at 100cp per pull people would say it's not right due to some people having 50.000 plus cp could max out 6 stars in a single day

Either way I still say bring them may e when new game engine hits

I just remember when they use to shower us with anniversary tokens. I easily could complete 1 or 2 cycles of the anniversary vault

Times change. I remember when you could go out with your mates on a Friday night with a tenner and have a cracking good time and a belly full of beer, the good old days are dead.

Large chips for a £1, you could afford to smoke in those days and Top of the Pops on TV!

On the plus side I recently got a Marvel Unlimited subscription and it blows away visiting the old comic book shop in every way possible! Jim Lee Punisher War Journal where they had a 1 page piece on army ordinance in the back in every issue - thunder strips! Marvellous! I don't even feel guilty if I fancy reading stories about Punisher when he was an angel even for £8-ish quid a month! Not that I would do that of course...

Last year had more exciting events. Lots of QoL improvements but new characters were awful.

This year it was the complete opposite. Loved most of the characters so far, interesting mechanics even if they're not meta. Events wise a complete snooze. Hardly any improvements to pve rewards. Too many unnecessary rebalance/costume bundles. Lots of controversy in pvp and boss events (supports and placement rewards).

What were the events from last year? The only one I remember is Quandary.
