    Yes - I play more.

It's actually this with the combination of new characters that has increased my activity with this game. I try to balance that with the other mobile game I play which also requires a commitment of sorts, because dailies. Sometimes, one game's new features just blow me off the water that I have to reduce my commitment on the other game, whether it be this or that. Though it has become harder to manage as of late, I find myself very lucky to still have enough time to play both games and complete their dailies and/or special campaigns.

    Yes - I play more.

I like the challenge of using different characters, I also feel the need to complete as many as possible, both months so far I’ve only missed 2 tokens on each

Suspect I might miss a few more this month as I have a lot of concerts coming up

The event / seasonal / whatever quests have added new twists, lead to use of very dusty toons. Trying to complete multiple quests with their varuious requirements in as few matches as possible is a minigame in itself!

Yes - I play at different times.

I have stepped down from playing the game competitively for the most part and have found trying to do the quests a more enjoyable enterprise. As others have noted, it's nice to use other non-meta characters to try and meet the conditions set by the quests.

Over the 4 weeks of the vault you can pull 4 5s along with all the other stuff, including 2 3-4s.

Over those same 4 weeks you will see 8 pves where the number 1 player can get 150 shards for a 5 so a total of 1200 5* shards for various characters (one or two may repeat and you get 300 for them). In PvP if the same player hit #1 all 12 events they would get 150 shards each time or 1800 shards for 12 different 5s.

For those who forgot 4 5s is 2000 shards.

The number of players who can hit number 1 in 20 events over 4 weeks is very small, partly because only like 17-20 brackets will exist per pve for scl10 each run so maybe 20 players in the whole game could get that much stuff.

So anyway the vault makes being super competitive for the sake of rewards look kind of silly. But of course people like the competition etc and that’s cool and fun if you enjoy it.

I've never been concerned about placement and play around my work and family schedule/events as a way to relax. Neither of those things has changed for me. I do use characters I may not have otherwise used to meet the seasonal quest requirements, however I don't view that as a change since it is similar to the required character nodes in PVE or PVP. I do enjoy the new seasonal quests and the corresponding results for my roster. The only thing feeling stale for me at this point is playing the same handful of PVE stories over and over in relatively quick succession.

Placement hasn't been something I chase for a long while now. I'm a player who has everyone rostered and almost every character champed, but I don't do MAX champ 5* like some folks--i don't play that much or that hard.

About the changes. The good: I am thinking about team composition more and using closer to a full roster rather than always relying on the same 6-10 characters. I like that.

The bad: I hate hate HATE that the quests start at what is noon for me when DDQ starts at 6 a.m. For the love of Mephisto, stop staggering everything. I really want those to be at the same time and it's a huge annoyance that they aren't.
