I miss the days where Versus tournaments had some sense...

Sue maxes out at 7k? Why did I not read the character thread? Why am I even leveling her?0

If you have endless amounts of opponents like this, I could see your point. Otherwise, it's just one outlier.
A guy that could have tanked his MMR or a hacker that is 'too new' to have settled into the proper MMR.0 -
Should've thrown him a bone. After all he ain't go no legs!0

Why so sad? Deny and kill Psy. Then laugh at the other two's useless stars while you take the 48 points and run.0

Wow, I'd have been glad to meet that team. Smells mr moneybag -- stumbled on some covers and bought the rest to max with $ -- but who cares, some variety in team to beat finally.
No wonder the guy is in low MMR.0 -
For 48 points, I'd fight maxed Fury (and probably lose but w/e).
Incapable Woman/X-Farce are a joke on defense. oBW can beat you faster than they do anything useful.0 -
those two are literally just intimidation through sheer numbers, they are horrible horrible on defense, i would definitely take that for 48 points. Not hard, as scottee said, just deny psyduck and then laugh your **** all the way to 48 points.0

I'd take that over Ares/OBW every day.0

I dont know, i dont get the logic of the game
I maxed four 2* heroes, now all my battles include one 141 enemy (50% of my fight options) or even 2 enemies above 100-120, i spend more time skipping than playing
That is like the most absurd example I could find and while i'm aware they are not great heroes they would beat me by raw damage/health, my psylocke had like 90 levels less than that one
I have 3* that can i max to 100~141, not bad ones, Punisher, Hulk, Steve Rogers, Black Panther, etc
But right now they are all around level 60, and it seems that while i build some of those i'll be losing versus events for weeks, I thought this would happen eventually but not like this and not while i'm working on my 2*
This is an example of what i see, and while i get that some rewards make the versus harder its becoming a constant, kind of strange because its not like i'm landing top 10 to get my MMR screwed

With the next wolverine event, I'm getting a lot of these because everyone has a high level wolverine but me. I'm using a lvl 30 wolverine, 115 punisher and 85 OBW

I think I'm going to be skipping this event. Can't handle things like this.0 -

Same. Last several events have been almost unplayable, requiring many hours for very little reward. It has also spilled over to no holds barred and now shield training as well. The amount of time/work this game currently takes jusy to make any forward progress is absurd.0 -

I don't mind PvE events being hard because when I lose, I don't get penalized, but for PvP, when we are trying to get the highest possible score, it doesn't make sense for us to be up against those levels. And not just fighting them, but I'm getting attacked by them too. I've basically become easy points for the higher guys.0 -
You guys that see 141s while lacking them, you drove up your MMR by simply winning too much (not landing top 10 or anything, just winning huge amounts of matches). You need to tank some and get defeated a lot. Simulator training is good for that.0

Still max lvl 85 teams should face just that no matter how much they win...
That being said...atm i couldn't lose to a team in the simulator if I tried lol...0 -
What do you mean? Retreat button not working?
Score some points in the Simulator training, defeat a weak/seed team and let others beat on you.0 -

Eh...I like your theory but do not buy it. I've been placing well in pvp for all of season 1 and before that. Usually ending with 800-900 points. This new 141 wall happened very suddenly, and apparently to several if not a lot of people. I've "tanked" 3 events in a row now, losing regularly (not by choice) and struggling to hit 500 or 600.
Tanking is an idiotic mechanic anyhow, and everyone knows it. If that's what it takes then I'll just chane my argument to how stupid that is.
Anyhow it is actually not possible to tank in shield sim either. That would require actually winning a match with a tank team. I can barely win matches with my A team.0 -

Yeah was all lvl 2's there for a few skips then found some to beat on my...guess that is what I going to do all day today to see if it helps0 -

Yea, I noticed that too. I was facing lvl 90 to 100 which isn't too bad, then one day, 141 every match. I tried tanking, and it has little to no effect. I've read on the fourms that tanking no longer works, or if it does, it doesn't work as well as it use to. I know it Season 1, tanking was working, but now, it's not working well (if at all). I'll probably try again this PvP event since I'll be skipping this one, but I have my doubts about it working.0 -
Well, looks pretty bad for you guys. I have a theory (or someone else had it before me and I am just recollecting): a current player in 2* - 3* transition might have a very bad time and the game specifically urges them to transition faster. But they have a hard time already and cannot win those 3* covers unless they extensively shield, boost, buy healthpacks, some critical 3* covers, etc.
A teammate without a single maxed 3* has just complained about having a helluva time in PvP, seeing 212/141/141 from the get-go and tanking not helping.
I believe that for F2P players, the only coping method would be to keep playing and try get at least a few maxed 3*s so that the game gets off your turf, finding you not as easy to gently nudge™ as before.
As a player with several maxed 3*s, I see many 141s from the get-go, too, but at least we are on even terms, and after some 700 pts (varies) it's a galore of 2* teams, right until 900 pts sometimes. Right now I have a loaner Patch/maxed mStorm/lvl 72 Thor** team in one of my nodes.
I am apologizing for not understanding the situation before and hoping you improve your situation, otherwise the game is indeed not worth your playtime and nerves.
Edit: I think that the players who mostly encounter this can max their 3*s or soft-cap them at 102/128 at least but haven't yet done so.0
