9th Anniversary Vault Update (10/9/22)

Hi Everyone - 

We understand that there is some confusion around the release of the 9th Anniversary Vault as the current Vault is listed as expiring in a few days (10/12 at midnight PST). 

We have some news that we wish we communicated better but the plan is to have the 9th Anniversary Vaults all month long, so when this Vault expires, a new Vault will take its place.  Each Vault will run for about a week this month and will include 100 items.  The tokens you have earned/purchased can be used/carried over for future iterations of the Vault if you prefer to save them.

These Vaults will have slightly different items, namely the randomized covers and a couple of the 3 and 4-star fan favorites will be rotated out. And finally, the last Vault run will be a repeat run of the 1st Vault (the Vault running currently).

We hope everyone is enjoying the Anniversary so far and are getting some most excellent rewards to bolster your roster.

    I had a healthy stack of HP, but with this vault it's quickly dwindling. But the contents are too good to pass.

    I did as well, so the HP sale couldn't have come at a better time.  I wouldn't mind seeing that extended, or a second sale before the anniversary ends.

    I was hoping they would, but the fact that they only talk about 3 & 4* covers changing I think we can assume the same three 5* will be featured.

    Except I only pulled from this vault, spending a small fortune of HPs, under the assumption that these 5* covers were the only options we would get. There are several characters I would have preferred and if those characters show up AFTER I've spent all those HPs, I am going to be furious.

    Yep I totally get this. I’ve spent the equivalent of £900 of HP in this vault. I would have skipped it as I only really wanted okoye and apoc but figured this was the best I was getting. If they change them I won’t be at all happy because most people would have had a finite amount they could spend and would it have hurt to have told us upfront with how good communication has been.

    Again I’m totally fine for them to switch up the 5* but tell me going in.

    The 5* are the fan favourites, so I don't see them being changed in the other vaults.

    am i nuts or did  reset the vault make the  3 and 4 stars change anyways.. could this  be what the other  3s and 4s  are  coming in the other vaults  ?   i know juggie was in there


    would be insane and  would never happen but   just think  if  one vault had   Arcade  5 star 

    wonder if that one vault with the outfits will have 5 stars in it  or just  outfits and 4 stars

    Based on the phrasing, I would expect the 5* characters to be the same.  I agree with the idea I'd rather it be different, but honestly I'm fine either way. I'm pretty happy with where it's gotten my Shang-Chi, Bill, and Kitty, and I've emptied the vault twice.
    TBH, that is something I would have done differently.  If I had known it was going to reset at the end of the run (rather than go away,) I wouldn't have bothered resetting it - I don't have the HP to empty it again and it would have saved me 500 HP.  That being said, am I angry I ended up spending those 500HP?  Nah, not at all.  I was acting on what I thought was the case at the time - I thought about the possibilities (other 5*s in the vault, completely different vault, similar vault again,) and decided it was worth it to just spend the 500HP to reset it.  As it turns out it was probably the wrong choice, but 500HP is not what you would call a huge expenditure (having "wasted" a lot more than that on roster slots over 300.)

    Didn't I read somewhere that a Taskmaster costume would be included in a vault during this event?

    Also, if I'm being honest - a way to earn just straight up shards towards a favorited is going to be what I'd consider the gold standard.  Dunno if that's possible in the current code for vaults, but if there was just 250 shards of 5* anybody sitting in that vault, I'd be over the moon.

    Yea that’s gonna be the next one I believe where you’ll get a free token to it daily with certain characters if you play with them 

    It should start on the 13th according to the anniversary thread. Use Devil Dino, Howard or Taskmaster for free daily tokens to it.

    Spent over 40k hp on the last vault because I figured it would be the only one.  Fast forward, a new 5* entered, 8 more 4* covers than the last...if you were going to run a vault the entire season, that should have been said from the get go.  Would have much rather spent on this one, or split it between the two.  Not **** cool.

    Yeah, I agree with WilliamK on this one. I have spent a ton of HPs on the vault and now I see a different one offered. And when this one expires, are we getting a third vault that's different from the first two? I am pretty furious over this. Totally unacceptable.

    looks like  chi   out and  doctor in      at least my  hp are safe i got all of them 13+ covers    why take out the one most wanted

    Why did the 5s get rotated?  Above specifically says it would rotate 3s and 4s.

    So now I would like to know at least if we are to expect one last vault or two?  We know what the final vault will be... so if that vault is next then ill just concentrate in pulling the current vault to avoid worthless ShangChi covers. 

    If there's two vaults remaining then I'll wait to see what's in the next one.
