Explain it to me like I'm 5. Because I don't get it.

Hero, Moon Knight's colors, black power with a suspiciously similar "when enemy downed" effect, releasing the same week as Moon Knight's show...

I like that the green deals retaliatory damage, and the purple flips damage back on attempted stuns, both kinda feel like good thematic "beat down" abilities that fit the version of the character they're teasing for the show. Same with the black's focus on the least-health enemy.

Oooph, those are some expensive powers in 5* land. Even though we've gotten some AP generators lately (Sersi, Wanda), I find it hard to believe this character will be relevant. I can't stun him/her but I don't need to because they'll never get a power off! And who uses stuns in 5* land anyway?

The black power is almost a clone of 4* Moon Knight's black power, and colour scheme totally fits him.

Moon Knight has the potential to be our Kingpin/Ultron of 2022. The reasons are:

Green: high ap cost, cd isn't fortified and is randomly created.

Black: high ap cost and self-harm power.

Purple passive: situational, useful against Polaris.

Purple active: high ap cost, players can't choose where to place trap tiles, and it triggers only when enemy matches them.

On top of that, all three active powers do many things. Green does 5 things, Black 2/2, and purple 4. Historically, doing many things in one power translates to lower damage.

Out of all three powers, I like green the most. Potential 6-8k damage reduction and the power reminds me somewhat of Knull's active purple active power and I like that power.

Edit: it's closer to 5* Ghost Rider' red power and his deals 3672 per match damage. So, Moon Knight's will likely deal lesser than 3672 damage.

The only saving grace will be high damage/ap but histories have shown otherwise.

I think even the devs intended the build to be 5/5/3, but overall, I like this character, which is probably Moon Knight.  The powers are very similar to the 4* version. We don’t know the numbers yet, but here’s my explanation:

9 Green : Deal dmg & destroy a column & create a 5-turn CD tile targeting an enemy.  When they deal dmg, reduce it and hit them back.  This sounds very good, being both offensive and defensive.  Now some are saying the cost is too high and the CD tile isn’t fortified, but if the numbers are high enough, then it’s worth it.  I would like to see it deal 10K plus reduce dmg by 3K and hit back for 2K.  This power would work well against boosted characters with high match dmg.  You could also feed this power with a battery character, like Thor, Valkyrie, BRB, Melinda, Vulture, Wanda.

10 Black : Deal high dmg to the weakest enemy, if downed, restore his health, otherwise create weak enemy attack tiles and hurt him a little.  This is going to be a big nuke with that kind of drawback.  I’m thinking 30K.  You can easily plan out the use of this to get the biggest effect.  Meaning, use it when the weakest enemy is between 20K and 30K health.  This restores his health, which I hope is at least 9K since he is starting with low health.  The cost is high, but it kills.  You could feed this power with Storm, or Domino, or even Wanda & Sersi.

10 Purple: create traps that deal small dmg and steal / buff specials.  I see this as a bonus power that you never use unless you happen to get the 10 purple and don’t have another outlet.

Passive: cannot be stunned.  If enemy attempts to stun, hit back and steal some AP.  This is another bonus power that is certainly useful against certain characters.

Overall, I’m expecting green and black powers to be good since purple is designed to be weak.  The devs usually disappoint me, so I’m guessing he’ll only be a mid-tier 5*.

Nothing special here. Medium health pool and expensive powers.
The green is something I guess. The purple is meh, but I'm just waiting to see the numbers on the black.

How does the clue fit Moonknight though?

    It seems a slow powerhorse.
He has some coincidences with apoc and SW: no small feature here.
He has low health for to use so expensive powers, but there are so many supporting characters nowadays...
It's needed to see the numbers but I think he will be fun to play with his passive- reactive powers.
And it's expected he will be a monster boosted.

The colors for match damage definitely have a typo, FYI. On the green and yellow at least.

Or purple. Because if purple is his weak color and is 978, then black and green should be 1000 plus.

Considering the lack of passives and the high AP costs these numbers better be pretty good.

I hope green and black do a lot of damage becuase Purple is going to be bad.  Trap tiles in general are interesting but unless you can choose where they go are extremely inconsistent.  For Black to be be worth 10 AP I hope this does 40k+ damage.  It should at min do 30k+ and be more than Doom.

I actually think Green will be the best power used on characters like Colossus who has such high match damage or Wanda who does damage each turn.  The issue is the cost of 9 AP when.

    What I think I’ll get:
Green does 10K, reduces 3K, hits back 2K
Black does 30K, heals for 9K

    What I want to get:
Green does 15K, reduces 5K, hits back 3K
    Black does 40K, heals 13K

    What I’ll actually get:
Green does 8K, reduces 2K, hits back 2K
    Black does 26K, heals 7K

3 mediocre powers that all cost 9 or more ap?  Icky.
Trap tiles that can only be triggered by enemy matches suck, especially randomly placed traps. At least that purple passive will have some niche uses (would have been great back in the stunner bro days. . .).
    Overall seems like a low/mid tier 5*.

Finally, am I going crazy, or is this absolutely certain to be moonknight just from the color combo, power descriptions, and timing?

Edit: the green doesn't say "destroyed tiles do not generate ap." Does this green generate as much as 8 random AP with each cast?  That would make it solidly good, rather than just mediocre.
