Has matchmaking in Matrimonium been fixed?

Hi @Marcela and D3,

The coalition event this weekend is Matrimonium. The matchmaking function has not worked properly every time this event has run in the past. For example, I am in bronze tier and I would be paired up against platinum players for nearly every single match. ANd it wasn't just that I was receiving matches outside my bronze tier, I was also receiving matches against platinum players whose planeswalker was Lvl 60 even if that was more than 10 levels above my planeswalker level. For example, my Nicol Bolas, the Ravager, who at various times during Matrimonium was Lvl 46 and then later Lvl 48 was always matched up against platinum players with Lvl 60 PW. My Lvl 30 Ral PW was also matched up against a platinum player's Lvl 60 PW.

And the problems are not just confined to the matches for bronze tier. Many platinum players have complained that they are matched up against lower tier players (bronze and silver, for example), and that the levels of their opponent's PW is often far below Lvl 60 even though the platinum player's PW is Lvl 60. This means that their opponent has far less health than is normal for coalition matches (in other coalition events, when you run a Lvl 60 PW, you face opponents with Lvl 60 planeswalkers), and this in turn can make it harder to achieve objectives because your low-level and thus low-health opponent dies so quickly.

There is no other coalition event I have played where the matchmakign function is so clearly broken. Has this issue been fixed?

If anyone knows how to tag Marcela, if you could tag her in this thread, that would be great. I attempted to do so, but did not succeed. (When I click on the hyperlink by her name in the beginning of my original post, I get taken to a page that says user not found.)

    Dear Oktagon and Marcela,

@Julie71 has indicated that this bug has not been fixed. Please schedule a different coalition event tomorrow. This matchmaking bug is a major problem, especially for players in lower tiers. We don't want or need players in lower tiers getting frustrated and quitting the game because they get very unfair matchups, and yet that is exactly what is going to happen this weekend. We want more players to join this game and have fun playing it, not less.

Please schedule something else, and do not hold matrimonium again until this issue has been fixed.

@Oktagon_Support This is the right thing to do. You've changed events in the 11th hour before.

The most recent I remember was mid June last year when you replaced DC with ROA.

Thanks for switching up the coalition event.

Please prioritize fixing the matchmaking bug in MAT. I was talking to a coalition teammate of mine who is a great player (objectively one of the best players in the game actually) about the matchmaking bug in MAT, and he put the point well: "There are large bugs and small ones. This is a defining one."
