Upcoming (light) Visual and Functional Changes Coming to D3 Forums (3/7/22)

The main page with all the threads is so light grey I can't even read anything. Not sure if I'm the only one or if having nightmode causes issues after the forum revamp.
Yeah with darkmode on using my Samsung phone, I couldn't see anything on this site. Everything was such a lite Grey, you couldn't read any text. I turned darkmode off and I can read everything clearly. This is the only website I've had any issues when using darkmode. Hopefully there's a tweak you guys have yet to carry out.1 -
Sorry, but I like the old format0

It loads better and I like the single view (mobile).
On mobile, the top right burger menu doesn't work.
also on mobile, the thread overview shows neither poster name, creator name, nor date of last post and creation. That's rather important to me on a thread overview.1 -

If there is genuine feedback to provide then that is hardly a case of people whining. Does it look better? Is it still easy to use? Is functionality being lost? Surely the answer to those questions actually helps the Devs?

As of now, I don't see the date a thread was posted from the list of threads. Makes it impossible to tell which are new posts and which are old.0

So, it's true: I'm getting older. My eyes just don't work as well as they used to. As a result, I need a lot more contrast visually in order comfortably to read text on any surface, be it paper, stone, or electronic screen.
This new setup makes it very difficult for me to read text quickly because different "regions" are quite difficult to distinguish -- I can't do it at all in a glance, each requires actual attention. Thus the attention tax I must pay is very high compared to the old layout, particularly w/r/t contrasting elements and colors, bordering, functional/interactive elements, and the like. Once I've zeroed in on content I wish to consume, I'm OK, but it's a headache-inducing tax to get to that stage and i'll be increasingly averse to paying it.
With regard to the table of contents column on the right, I like the functionality of that in theory. But I definitely, ABSOLUTELY do not need constant, quick access to Magic The Gathering, Other D3 games, etc. while I am working in THIS forum. I would like quick access to other parts of this forum, like a list of other major pages or unread topics related to the current one I'm reading, but as things are a lot of space is wasted on portals to spaces I don't care about while I am here and that area really amounts to more distracting attention-taxation.
I'm open to change. The last forum software was functionally kind of archaic, but it was easy to read and navigate. It excelled in that critically important area, what is, in fact, the very point of a forum of this sort. At a glance, I knew who wrote it, could assess relative times easily, I could find and make use of upvote/downvote tools easily, and I could read what people wrote easily.5 -
To put it bluntly, the change sucks.
In every way
Agree. Light grey lines to separate the topics doesn't mesh well with the background etc (pc user).
It's turned me away from the forums. Can there be an option somewhere in account settings to use classic version? Like Reddit has for Old Reddit?0 -
Is dark .ode broken for any of you ?
When I have dark mode on, the text for threads goes from the normal black to white. The white text is unreadable with the bright lite gray coating the while page like paint. You can maybe press down on a thread topic like you want to copy it, just to highlight it and make it washer to read, which is obviously annoying. On my Samsung Note phone I can't read anything when dark mode is on. Never had issues before until they redesigned the forum.0
