Week 13 Boost list Adam Warlock, Carnage (Prophet of Knull), Havok, The Hulk (Bruce Banner)

So another 3 new/1 old split and it seems to be roughly following the pattern identified in this thread https://forums.d3go.com/discussion/85465/week-12-boost-cable-cyclops-kitty-thor/p1
Have they fixed Banner?!?!?
What do we think of this weeks list? I only have Adam champed and to be honest, he has been a bit of a struggle to use but his healing might be a real pain to enemies in PvP so I am looking forward to seeing what he looks like.

500 and out for me with this hideous system, so will run carnage and Medusa to minimise any health pack use. I only have carnage but wouldn’t care if I had all four it’s no more interesting than pre god boost pvp, just slower and you take more damage.

Carbage and Adam Warlock is the best team for the AI. It looks like I'm going to spend another ~30 healthpacks per pvp for their boost week.  :s

    Edit:

569 Adam Warlock's match-3 damage will be between ~ 10.7k to ~13.9k damage. With Carbage, it means 2 match-3 per turn, which is a total of about 21.4k to 27.8k match damage. I haven't included AW's passive AoE, even though it gets weaker over time

Yeah boosted Carbage is a skip for me unless absolutely necessary.

Only have Adam and c5rnage champed. Banner and Havok have 6 or less covers each.

Interesting that they seemingly chose 2 duds and 2 strong things. I'll probably end up using Wanda and Adam for climbing.

I don't think a lot of people will touch you if you use Carbage and AW.

Has everyone forgotten Colossus and Wanda already? I’m gonna eat those Adam/Carnage teams.

This is an easy week. Those 4 either are useless or have proven counter teams

Colossus and SW won't be boosted.  You might be able to reduce a lot of the incoming damage by running that team (not all of it though), but how do you plan to get through 300,000 health?

Carbage/Banner will be funny for taking a pair of auto-turns every turn start, even if that’s about all they are good for. Warlock I’ve just never gotten the hang of; he just shows up and dies whenever I try it.

I get through that every week I don’t have the boosted characters. It only takes a bit longer. But if you’re looking for suggestions, then apart from Colossus’ high damage and decent attack, and Wanda’s damage boost and major debuff, I would start by setting up some black matches for Adam and let him kill himself for you.

I wouldn't have the patience for it.  Plus, if I can't get in and out of a match in a minute to a minute and a half I'm probably getting hit a bunch -- I'd be making net negative progress.

As for Banner/Carnage, hopefully they remember to boost the Hulk this time!  If they did that could be a fun troll team to run.

Yess! This week pvp will be mine.
AW and carnage have rainbow coverage so they are a great team. And AW will heal 40k easily being below 50%.

Ooh, that’s right. Last time he was boosted only Banner was boosted and the minute he transformed, Hulk was not boosted. Kinda silly if intentional.

I don't think it's intentional because they have boosted the Hulk before...I think they just forget because he's coded in a weird way, and players don't notice or particularly care when they mess it up.

The Hulk gets treated as a different character entirely, so if he's boosted he will appear in the list with Banner.  I think.  It's been awhile.

Last time he was boosted I just wanted to mess around with mine to see what he could do which is a sad 1/2/1 but Hulk actually had lower than 2* health when he transformed! It was less Hulk Smash and more Hulk Shakes Fist at you in a manner that suggests he is unsatisfied with your conduct.

iHulk has pretty low health for a 5* as well; seems like a low-hanging balancing mechanism for the rebirth mechanic both 5* Hulks are equipped with. I think the lamest part for me with hulk was always that his match damage and single active on transformation were really underwhelming too - like he is way more dangerous as Banner (which isn't to say he is all that dangerous there either).

Hulk should when he transformed should be all out destruction - maybe you could have had a countdown that when expired he turned back to Banner and then a cool down but for X amount turns before you can transform again but it should have been Smash-y.

For those who have struggled to use warlock effectively, Thorlock in pick 2 and Chavez for a third in pick 3 was very efficient in PVE clears. Might need to swap to Thorpoc on essentials for the grind just for better offensive consistency, but in pick 3 with chavez he cleaned right up in every node without issue.

The handful of times they've actually remembered to boost the Hulk, his health/match damage/active power are all pretty good.  It's just that they always forget!

Hulk having low health is the same reason all the Wolverines have low health -- it's a balancing mechanism that's got nothing to do with the flavor of the characters.  I wish they'd come up with a better way of doing this -- there are other characters who heal that have respectable health, so it doesn't make sense.

I haven't used Adam Warlock a ton, but I know he's very popular among the group of players who compete for placement in CL10 PvE.  He's one of the fastest characters in the game when you don't care about health packs.

I am actually looking forward to Havok for the boost. He hits really hard, and his blue is versatile.
