That is the best week yet for me in terms of 550+, I assume Kitty will dominate but I am eyeing up a Cable/1\2 health Thor team. Will be interesting to see how many Cyclops are out there too.

    Kitty + BRB / R4G I suppose.

Kitty / Cable can be fun.

This week boost looks unpredictable to me because there are a lot of active red/yellow/green powers overlap.

If you are looking for someone to tank Thor, Cyclops is your best choice as long as you don't boost Thor's match damage.

Only Cable and Cyclops have stun.

IHulkoye will probably make a comeback, which I'll welcome with open arms.

My 5 cover Cyclops will not tank champed Thor but it will be better than last time around with Thor when he was boosted on his own. This time I have 2 more 550+ to help him out. There are of course a multitude of Kitty teams to play also. I have a feeling there might be quite a few solo champed Kitty's out there who might come out to play.

Cable makes nice strikes, he could be good with Kitty actually.

When I was first thinking about going to 5* land, Cable & Kitty were my only two champed 5's and it was this interaction that made me think it might work. I waited in the end so I haven't really run the two together much but this is a good opportunity.

He’s also solid with Sighclops (who I am 200shards from champing…sigh) actually.

This should be interesting.  In the Kitty/Beta Bill combo, Kitty doesn't really do damage or help you win (buffing protect tiles helps you *not lose*, which is different).  You'd be reliant on Beta Bill to do all the damage.  I guess Kitty's repeater will hit hard if you're fighting another tile team, but I'm not sure it's reliable.

Cable can make strike tiles, apparently (he's another one I have at high level but have never used or fought), but it's on an active power.  I wonder if we'll see Rocket or Polaris instead.

The other alternative would be running Thor teams.  He doesn't really work with Kitty and he needs to hide, so it'll depend on everyone's relative levels of Cable and Cyclops.

Not looking forward to boosted Kitty teams.

Cable could be interesting with kitty but 9 yellow is a lot to get that rolling. I think I’d rather take my chances with bill and get kitty red to work for damage.

I think Thor/Clops might be the sleeper hit of this one offensively. When you use Sighclops’ yellow on Thor, the god of thunder tile breaks benefit from the enhanced match damage every turn. That can escalate pretty fast since he is earning yellow and red

Not to mention Sighclops can also wipe enemy SAP tiles so there's at least a Kitty counter there.

Kitty/Cable/Half thor would be a really strong team. Thor fast tracking yellow for Cable, and

Also, all the hate on Cyclops, he's GREAT in the time of boosted 5s (probably not when he's boosted tho). his Yellow can make crazy match damage. in PvE Cyclops/Half/thor/Boosted buddy can get thru a lot, easily. Half thor also makes sure Cykes Red and Green (which too be fair, are pretty decent - just a little expensive) get shooting early.

I'm not sure how Cyclops' green works. He converts 7 tiles to red basic tiles. He prioritises only Strike and Protect tiles first. Assuming that there are 3 enemy strike tiles, 6 enemy attack tiles and 1 enemy cd tile on the board, 3/7 is reserved for enemy strike tiles. What about the other 4? Is it a coin flip among cds, attack/repeater and other non-red basic tiles? Or is it a coin flip between enemy attack tiles and cd tile?

Does Cyclops tank for Thor?  If you can't keep Thor in back it's just a giant pain babysitting his health.at 50%.

Depends on relative levels; at similar base levels he will, but after you crank Thor’s match damage up he won’t. But that is a lot of damage on the tile break followed by some pretty hard hitting boosted active powers, so it’ll chew through health pretty fast I think.

He’ll overwrite literally anything; I saw him write over crits one time.

Yeah my 452 Cyclops starts out tanking red and yellow, but once you cast yellow the first time, Thor takes over all three.  Boosted Cyclops might squeeze by with a second yellow fire tho.
but it’s not as annoying as you would imagine because Thor’s passive, as well as being a battery, serves to leave a lot of black, blue, purple matches.
it would suck if Thor  tanked those too tho.  I usually only use the combo in pick 3.  So it’s with someone like Prof X.  However the first two PVPs are going to be Magneto and Cap,  so that might not be good.

    Thanks. Have fun using Cyclops.

I wonder which dominant teams there will be for this week boost.

Kitty + collossus will be fun. Colosus black gives enemy 2x strike tiles. 2 or 3 turns later, kitty's pink will deal big dmg.

Looking forward to seeing if I can make my Cable and Cycl5ps work on some teams too.

This week is my ideal state of what pvp should look like after boost. There are so many varieties in this pvp, compared to previous boost week. While Thor/Kitty was the dominant team, you can still find various combination of boosted/non-boosted 5* + 5*/4* team at the upper end (1000-1200).
