I have not been able to find the official thread on Ashiok 2. @Stormcrow has been pinging @Oktagon_Support, but Marcela has not completed this yet.

can anyone who owns Ashiok 2 tell me how good he/she/it is?

IMHO not a top tier PW, but fun to play in standard now. Lot of ZRN and KLM cards help him/her to steal opponent cards really quickly. I usually play him/her with herald supports and/or discard mech. with fine win/Lose ratio

    Few stats
    Creature 6/spell 6/support 7

We had a thread comparing Ashiok 2 to B/G Nissa a while back, in which I gave my thoughts. Ashiok 2 can be fun to play with but yeah, not a top-tier must-have PW by any means.

(It's not the official thread, but it's a superset of the information that would appear there: https://wiki.mtgpq.info/wiki/Ashiok,_Sculptor_of_Fears)

I absolutely love Ashiok 2, but..  it took me a week to figure him out. Just stacking power supports and firing his 3rd doesn't work and you'll get owned very quickly. He requires a bit more finesse,  much in the manner that Daxos does.  In standard he is good and if you build right,  he'll fire his 3rd about every turn.  I've snow build,  and a withercrown build that are very effective.  In legacy though.... he's a monster.  So many supports with so much synergy, he can be very difficult to stand up to. I have a total lock down build I use with him.  Shuts down pw Abilities, mana draw for opponent, removes any mana stored, card draw beyond the 1st. So on.  It's unfair is what it is and he's reloading the shutdown every turn.

Is he an aggro pw? not in the slightest. And I don't recommend him for those that prefer more aggressive tactics for results. Those that enjoy the old school Bruiser control builds will love him. To each their own I say.

Pure battlefield control is his niche. Build for that and he works well. Just keep in mind that synergy of supports is best else they are a waste when firing Ashiok's 3rd. I Learned this the hard way, he's is not a plug and play PW like say Garruk 2 and 3.

I put Ash2 in the "fun but not essential" category.
