Oh I got that far.  It's perpetually stuck on "Waiting to Download."  At 10 minutes wait time already, it isn't looking promising..

UPDATE: My issue was an issue with GooglePlay, not mtgpq

@Oktagon_Support quickly helped me fix the issue.  Thank you! :)

    Hello guys,

Unfortunately our game is only available in English, French, German, Japanese and Spanish now. :disappointed:
We truly apologize for that and thank you for your patience.

You removed languages from the game?  This doesn't do anything to me, but that's pretty horrible, especially considering how many players we have that don't use those languages.

Also, really surprised Portuguese isn't on that list, considering Oktagon is based in Brazil.

That  change really really REALLY should have been announced ahead of time.

After 5 years, thousands of hours invested, you kick me out of the game. Never seen worse treatment for a player. Few members remain and you continue to kick players away. Very bad.

Will be a patch in schedule to add languages back?

MTG in paper already provided the most accurate translation to other languages.

This only lead to the doubt that it doesn't has enough resources/staff to maintain the game...

    Hello guys,

We apologize for the lack of communication in relation to the supported languages. Magic: Puzzle Quest does not support the following languages anymore:
    • Chinese
    • Korean
    • Italian
    • Russian
We are truly sorry about not having posted anything in the Release Notes about that fact beforehand.
We are looking forward to the upcoming releases with new features and the next collections which will be fully supported in the following languages:
    • English
    • French
    • German
    • Spanish
    • Japanese
    • Brazilian Portuguese

Would you care to be a bit more specific as to why these languages are not supported anymore? Some of them utilize a different alphabet. But Italian uses the same latin alphabet as English, French, Spanish, German and Portuguese. So this does not completely explain the issue.

I believe this is not an issue to be taken lightly. Sure, there has been player attrition for years, as some players have felt gradually less engaged with the game. But to not take any steps to solve this entails effectively kicking thousands of players who cannot understand the in game text in languages other than their own.

Are you telling me you have made a purposeful decision to cut the player base (and your own market)?

Please discuss this issue further with us. I wouldn't like to imagine that you'd be willing to cut off a plethora of players who have devoted so many hours of their lives and plenty of money to your game, just to be shoved out the door unceremoniously.

Wow! No mention at all, you really should have given a warning. A simple "Oops, Sorry!" is weak. Especially after dropping a set, where people normally spend money. That was a prime example of poor communication.

Wow bugged cards is one thing.  I can live with that but to intentionally exclude a player base just because they don't fit into your demographics is omg your undoing.  What will it be next English that you don't support. How can this be a good discussion.  Help us understand your thinking. Because right now I don't know what to tell my non English speaking coalition members. I even have a Google translation app because I respect them and value them enough to communicate with each and every one of them.

Will they still be able to update the app and see the cards in English?   Or does this mean the client will be gone for them altogether? Both suck, but want to know the severity of impact.

Seems like they can still play in another supported language, from the posts that I've seen.
