Is it a good idea to sell Spidey

Wait, how did you buy multiple covers? Even maxed, the buyback is only at a little more than a single 3* upgrade0
-
Heh..premium. like Mr. Potter buying savings and loans accounts at 50 cents on the dollar premium...
Phan is right though. If you plan to keep your slots low, spidey is pretty useless noe and you will never get as much back for him as you do now. Just...don't be surprised if he is a required node in the next 3 pve and the buffed hero in 3 of the next 8 PvP.0 -
I'm really surprised this post hasn't seen much love. My spidey is 3/5/3 and if I remember correctly 2 of those blue spideys came from a 10pack heroic I bought. That cost me only 2800hps. As far as I'm concerned he's worth 10500hps and a whole lot more iso. That's if I were to buy 8 of his covers past the 3 you have to find as a prerequisite to buying more covers. They give you about 15 lvls worth the iso back if hes lvl 80 which is a ripoff. Ever heard of a long con? Sure feels like this was it. I'll keep him and I suggest you all do the same. he'll be powered up, featured, required in the future as a ruse to get everyone to buy him back. 750hp is enough to shield up for 2 days in pvp. Not worth it.0

His selling value is just not worth it.. Somehow I remember higher sell value for Thorverine back then, but I might be mistaken.
As someone who spent bought HP of 2500 to level his last 2 blue, I am disappointed0 -
Justdangit wrote:So TL;DR If you have less than 7 cover into him, sure level him up and sell him. 7-10 cover into him then it depend if you need the HP from the sale. More than 10 dont sell him, not really worth it unless you absolutely need the HP.
You say one should spend ISO on him just to sell for the third of it?0 -
I think spidey is terrible and unplayable now. I maxed my spidey 2months ago. I achieved a lot of success with him. However now, I can barely stun a char once or twice. He cannot heal and purple tiles are weaker now. So when you play with him, he just waits in a corner with useless abilities. Meanwhile, daken creates tiles and thor hammers you. Magneto oneshots your chars after you could afford to stun him one turn.
I am planning to sell it and use the iso and hp on a different char. Even if we come across a spidey tournament, a lvl23 spidey with one turn stun will be staying in a corner and maybe it can be used once.0 -

Yes, if they needed the HP, a lot of free to play people out there have more iso than character cover they can use it on. If you level him up you get more hero points for selling him.0 -
Don't sell Spiderman because he's nerfed. There are plenty of weak characters you should never have kept them in your roster in the first place that are weaker than him. Sell him if you're actually going to quit the habit of buying a new roster slot every time a new guy comes out, since you got to start somewhere and you might as well take a relatively good deal for now, and you should probably remove that level 6 Bullseye and level 10 Captain America 2* you (I mean, I) kept around just in case too.0

He's still the best character in the game to heal your roster up with if need be. I wouldn't sell him as you can earn the iso you get from selling him in 1 week of lightning rounds0

OBW is weaker, but a lot more reliable to get heals off with0 -
As soon as the buyback ends there's going to be like three Spidey pvps0

Just tried, prologue healing is dead in the water. It's about same as done with OBW, difference only depending on board and luck. With 1500 average gain per session (what is overestimated) it's hardly feasible for even the basic ***s let alone the fatties.0 -

Try healing in the venom node again. I can heal up 3 141s in there decently fast (let venom get off a few webs of his own first)0 -

Not really. He still serves a purpose as a good enough utility char and might be required/buffed in future events. I'd consider it if I got like 1000+ hp but not as of now.0

I sold my Thor/Wolverine and don't regret that decision in the slightest.
However, I've invested too much time into acquiring my current Spidey to even consider selling him.0 -

They have already buffed his purple since the nerf. I'd wait it out. They are catching a lot of flack for the nuke and I cant imagine they will leave his blue in its current state. IMO if you are fine with them changing him to the point where you have to sell him because hes actually worthless to you then you probably shouldnt play this game anymore. Its kind of an insult in my eyes that as a result of them (not balancing) but nuking a character they allow you to remove them from your roster for pennies on the dollar.0

I didn't even think of it being that bad of a nerf before they buffed his purple.
So you guys can't stun lock for five turns and basically ensure you never lose a match ever again. Boo-Hoo. It didn't mean he was worthless with 2,5k healing, a 5ap stun, and passive protect tiles.0
