How do you feel about gold characters

    I don't like the gold characters at all. One of the most common complaints about MPQ is the lack of variety in PvP. Most of my characters are around level 68 so I'm constantly matched up against 2* Thor, Daken, and of course OBW. I used to look forward to the fresh opposition I would face when when I finally completed the slow transition to 3* land. Now it turns out I get to keep on fighting Thor forever. Fantastic. LazyDaken doesn't irritate me quite as much because at least he has a new skill, but I would still prefer brand new characters.

    I hate the idea of gold characters. Functionally, I'm ok with Thor and Cap - they're major, A-list characters, both had recent movies, and they deserved 3*s, moreso than at least a couple of the characters (Hawkeye, Black Widow) that already have multiples. My problem with those two is I would have preferred they actually design 3*s, rather than this lazy rehash.

    Lazy Daken, I hate. Hate hate hate hate hate. He's one of the three C-list characters in the game (along with Ragnarok and Yelena) and he didn't deserve a second version. I'm not going to any effort to get his covers, I'm not using him outside of required situations and when he's mega-boosted. I probably won't put any effort into leveling him in the forseeable future. We got this **** retread, who's going to be a pain to face in PVP, instead of an actual new character someone wants. And he's got the stupidest-looking art in the game. I'd rather they gave us a playable HAMMER guy than him.

    I suspect it's viewed as a waste of time, even at less work. The game is geared around releasing new characters as fast as possible to keep the treadmill going. You need every new character to unlock the inevitable required nodes that follow. Doing a Rag revamp slows down the cycle, and they've been doing what they can to make it as fast as possible. Wolverine jr was a suitable revamp because he could be made gold, but the others are already 3*s.

    I suppose they could redo Rag and make him the belle of the ball next, but the concern there would be that an event/cover packs for a character most people already have wouldn't incentivize HP spending.

    It's minor, but making Doom/Rags/Loki more viable and enticing would help for newer players to want/keep them.

    I don't disagree. All the two power 3*s are a weird relics of an earlier phase in the game and they'd be smart to take the minor effort to flesh them out. I just don't think anythings on the agenda other than cranking out new 3*s. Rag was nerfed into uselessness forever ago and he hasn't even gotten a third. The others are at least situationally useful. We're going to see a gold bullseye with three powers before rag.
